Oscar does have the potential to be a world class player, it's just his lack of consistency and certain liabilities in his game that are making him look unable to be a great #10 and imo the reason we should sell him and make better investments in that area of the pitch.

i am sorry mate, i just dont see the potential there. even if oscar was as consistent as lampard was throughout his career, i still cant see how he can be CLOSE to world class.

But seriously the link up between him and Luis (eventually Neymar too) was brilliant to watch. He was constantly dropping deep because the other midfielders were completely useless in the build up. They continually created 2v1's on Brazil's left side with quick incisive 1 touch passes and Oscar found the attackers in between the lines whenever Luis overlapped. They dictated the tempo of the game and Oscar flawlessly ran the game.

That said, France were awful. They have far too many counter attacking players. Benzema aside, they desperately lack creativity.

I can only speak for myself but i don't hate Oscar. I just don't think he should be a starter for us anymore.

He's too inconsistent. He's been here for 3 years and everytime he goes missing in the second part of the season.

That's just unacceptable for a starter.

It's good that he scored a goal for Brazil but that's not gonna suddenly change my opinion. (which i formed based on the three years he's played here)

Spot on. I don't hate him, why should we? He doesn't do stupid shit like Balotelli, or blames the world for his failure like Fernando Torres, or uses the media to betray their coach like Casillas/Pepe.

It seems he's a nice guy, but the thing is he just is NOT good enough for a club like Chelsea. He vacants a spot where he should be creative but he isn't, ok then people say he is here for the balance. What balance? People overrun him all the time, he is too slow and weak to be that midfield player. Cesc makes it up with his superb creative abilities. That's why Ramires starts all the big games despite having some other average skills, but he can really provide balance. When Oscar plays lately, it's like playing with 10 vs 11 all the time.

I hope Mou wins the title this year and lets Oscar go to Juve. We must and can do better than this guy. Just use a more creative hard working #10, or play a good box-to-box player.
