Maybe it's inherent to his style of play, im doubting these up and downs are solely because he is exhausted. He rarely looks in total control with the ball imo, a key quality to operate in the CAM.

If a player of oscars class can't make it at chelsea according to some player haters then may be we shouldn't buy young players anymore but fortunately for him the player haters are not the board and the board have decided in the direction of bringing in a couple of young players for stability and longeivity. Some People are so critical of these young player and its not normal. For me I saw positive things he got himself in goal scoring positions about 4 or 5 times but couldn't finish which could be down to match fitness because he is still one of our best finishers. The guy has great future.

the kid is only 22 and yes he is inconstant but he has shown some brilliant stuff. Now the world cup is out of the way and him being fully fit hopefully he can show us what he can do week in week out. People seem to forget how good he was at the start of last season.

He has to perform this season though, I don't really care what he does during preseason as long as he performs during the season. He needs to show consistency, we are one of the best clubs in the world we can't have our #10 not be consistent. I really hope he can have a great season this year, I really like him but he has to prove himself. If he doesn't perform we should be looking for a replacement but it's too early to talk about now.

I have taken a step back on the Oscar criticism and rarely even post in his thread anymore but this post hit the nail on the head. He's one of the most clumsy AM's I have seen in a while.
