Hopefully he can see some more time, we definitely need some of that energy in the middle of the park.

Agree with that, and his range of passing is probably better than the other options we already have in that position. I'm excited to see him kick on for us because we really need someone to take that position by the scruff of the neck and now we have two genuine prospects in Ake and Chalobah which could save us millions of pounds in the transfer market.

Very impressed by his performance yesterday. Played some good simple passes to retain possession and keep the attack going. Put in some good tackles, made a few good interceptions and showed that he's good in the air too by winning some headers. Hope to see more of him though as Alex pointed out, best not to get carried away too much yet but Aka definitely showed what he's capable of.

The reason he was held back and not sent on loan is purely because we are so thin in midfield and required a contingency plan. If no one gets injured for the rest of the year and we got knocked out of Europa then he will probably get no more minutes. His development would have never factored into that equation, sadly.

I'm not worried. He's young and has lots of time to develop. He'll go on loan next season and develop there.
