We did not even talk about the "handling of the pandemic" which has been declared over by these folks, so it must be.  I'm glad hydroxychloroquine saved the president's life, so at least he was right about one thing... oh I see. I truly believe that folks who think this is all "normal" election are not grasping at what's really going on. Or perhaps it is just a natural selfish state. They may even be happy with this particular authoritarian president, but how about the next one? Real change is needed so that a Donald Trump never happens again (republican or democrat).

I read Amy Coney Barrett has been a judge for merely 3 years, only a law professor before that. Is that true? In normal democratic countries 3 years of experience as a judge (or any other job for that matter) is considered to be a n00b and would never get into any supreme court for life tenure. This means she has impressed Trump and his criminal cronies in such a short time, which is a huge red flag. The US is a hot mess.

you do not even have to had ANY legal experience or education to be a Supreme Court justice in the US

Real chance of another Civil war.

Biden never said he would not accept the result

the only thing said was that he should not concede before all the votes are counted

Trump, on the other hand, said the only legitimate result is him winning

Trump will lean HARD into the Red Mirage (Red Mirage is the map looking like a Rethug blowout at first due to massive amount of Dem votes not being counted as they mostly will vote non-same day, and Repugs will be the opposite)

and claim the Blue Shift is illegitimate (Blue Shift is the inevitable massive Democratic vote totals going up and up as mail-in ballots are counted)

he will try and stop all further counting (ultimately banking on the SCOTUS to end it illegally, that why he is so desperate to get his catholic death cult  ultra crazed RW'er whore on the Court before the election), and will try and have Rethug state legislatures send in a separate set of electors if he loses a state where the Rethugs control the state legislature

For those not aware, there have been major protests in Nigeria calling for the abolition of a controversial police unit called SARS, short for the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. It was formed back in the 80s to tackle armed robbery in urban areas targeting banks and convoys... However in recent years it has devolved into a rogue unit that extorts innocent civilians on the road, and it has been linked with many extra-judicial detentions and killings. They specifically target young people based on spurious reasons (hairstyle, dress, car being driven), wrongly labeling many as fraudsters.

So in recent days there have been numerous peaceful protests across different cities in Nigeria calling for their abolishment, at levels not seen since the early 90s. The government have a strangle hold on the major TV stations so they initially refused to cover the protests, hence the youths have deliberately paralyzed several choke points in different states in the country, in order to force attention to the issue. In addition, the youth led protests have been given attention by Afrobeats musicians and celebrities who now have more of a following outside the country. The government initially acquiesced to the demands by declaring the end of the unit, but then created another unit called "SWAT". There are concerns that such declarations are just changing the name of "SARS" to "SWAT". As of today, the protests continue within and outside the country. Very interesting to see whether the protests evolve to a more strategic wield of power by the youth against many of the issues plaguing Nigeria, or they fizzle out. Hoping for the former.

it first caught my eye because of the name of the goon squad (SARS) 

I hope they shut it down on a permanent basis and the victims get the justice they deserve

Nigeria is one of my long term areas of concern

by 2100, the global population (after peaking at close to 10 billion in 2050-2060) will be massively lower than it is now

a HUGE drop off

India, China, etc etc will be massively smaller in population by 2100

Some nations like Japan and Spain, etc will be less than half what they are now

there is one exception

Nigeria

it is tracking to an INSANE 900 million people by 2100

it will be one of the biggest disasters in human history if these meta-trends for Nigeria are not stopped in time

you cannot have around 90% of one billion people living in that relatively small area

The population growth is a serious concern. People subject themselves to religious primitivity instead of common sense. A poor Christian man will give birth to six children, a poor Muslim man will marry 4 wives and give birth to 20 children and that means definitely the children will be sent to beg on the streets.  

It is inevitable that the country will explode when the population gets saturated. The natural Resources cant go round everyone.
