I do not think the board would back him with what it would take to fulfill his style of play

it would be a whipsaw change in style and player recruitment profile

I personally could more than live with it, but many here do not like cynical defensive football

I love defence

above all else

look at the majority of my wishes for players

fullbacks, centre backs, DMF, GK, CMF

I obviously care about AMF , wingers, and strikers

but to get to Simeone true level (back when he was making CL finals) without ROCKS at CB and DMF and fullbacks

we absolutely would need to get a SS type plus another really quality striker

as Diego is all about the 4 4 2

SS targets if DS came

Dybala (obviously)

Ante Rebic, who is on fire lately for Milan

or

Joaquín Correa from Lazio

 

Striker, we really could have used Werner, who would have been perfect, but he is going to the fuckstick scousers, 90%

other super option (but pricey) is Lautaro from Inter

but barring those two

Dembele is probably it, although I think Simeone rates Rodrigo from Valencia (who smashed us in the CL) or a dice roll with Victor Osimhen, who seems a Simeone type in a very young form

LB Simeone type is deffo Theo Hernandez, not sure on Chilwell

he would demand a better GK I also think, unless Kepa makes a huge turnaround

Simeone is used to the best in the world or 2nd best in Oblak

The Argentine was relentless — constantly on the move, barking orders, wildly gesticulating, applauding, protesting and organising.

MAn that is what we need....quailty manager with immense motivational skills, that much is evident when they go to war.

I like his footy style, its more or less how we were under JM's best years here, Conte the same......how can you not love that? So organized, full of passion and desire, I'll have that any day.
