Maybe I am crazy but Messi or not, I would heavily fancy our chances against this current Barcelona side...

Would be karma for us to rock up there with youth and playing good football while they cling on to the last bit of Messi before he fucks off.

Agree, if I can pick any team as our opp, it is Barca. It should be a relatively easy imo and it is against big team so good for our confidence.

We played against barca with immortal messi and it was a nightmare, now he is at  mortal level,  it is time to turn back the tide. With luck, I can see us scoring big number against them.

If we thought Klopp was crazy to play Liverpool's first team players in a dead rubber yesterday, Mourinho went and did the same thing in the Europa League today. Admittedly, the group's top spot was at stake but still. Kane, Son, Ndombele, Reguilon etc all played.

Dont know Klopp's thought process, but have to say Spurs and Jose got it perfect. 30 mins to pay Son and Kane. And that might be the difference between getting some norweigan team and maybe getting the likes of AC milan in the next stage.

That would have made sense had Spurs been struggling to score and desperately need the goals. Instead, Son and Kane came on like 1-2 minutes after Vinicius scored the opening goal.

And my point is, why risk your key players in a game like this? Yes had Spurs finished 2nd, they could have gotten Milan or Roma in the next round but imagine if Son and/or Kane had gotten injured after coming on and missed the upcoming busy domestic schedule.

Ajax attacker Quincy Promes arrested in alleged stabbing incident

Ajax attacker Quincy Promes was arrested on Sunday morning on suspicion of involvement in a serious stabbing incident. This was reported by De Telegraaf.

https://nltimes.nl/2020/12/13/ajax-attacker-quincy-promes-arrested-alleged-stabbing-incident

At the end of July, Promes reportedly got into an argument with a family member during a party. The fight escalated to such an extent that Promes allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife. As a result, the victim suffered serious injuries on his knee.

According to De Telegraaf, Promes is being suspected of assault resulting in serious physical injury. The 28-year-old footballer could face a prison sentence of up to four years.

Promes was jailed immediately after his arrest. He can be held in custody for a period of up to three days. The pre-trial detention can then be extended again.
