Lies. Remember when Barca thrashed Mourinho's Real team 5-0?

That's Barcelona, the greatest team in the world and possibly ever, not a team who has like one world class player and they raped us 4-1.

It's not just a one off game you know, this happens because there's a reason for it. Had Wigan took there chances more it would've been a different story. Luck has it's way, but if it's consistent, then you're doing something right, and luck will not be as consistent as some people think. We can't just give the other team as much space as we do and just try and score goals further up the field.

To be honest i hate this fucking 4-2-3-1, never like liked the formation, i would of loved a 4-3-3 with a creative midfielder, 4-2-3-1 can always get exposed, and especially when we have players who can't even play there properly.

RDM is going to have to pull something out this season, then spend in January if he is to save his Chelsea career, like Jamie Redknapp said he has huge pressure and the press are going to love it with the Pep Guardiola link, they will constantly bring it up if we have a bad spell. Things wont look so bright if we even start to lose a few games in a row this season. Well too fucking long have we had that shit, we are a rich club with lots of money, i don't want to have an awful season for the 3rd time running.

Since when is the European Super Cup unimportant? I wouldn't be surprised if some fans on here claim that the Club World Cup is also unimportant if we fail to win it.

I'll say it before we even play in it-The Club World Cup is unimportant. These are all meaningless exhibition games whose only purpose is to make some more money. I'd rather win, but I wouldn't care if we lost.

I was just responding to the claim that Mourinho's team has never been beaten heavily.

I think it's way too soon to write off RDM or this CFC team. Remember that we have new players waiting to be fazed in, so it's unfair to completely judge this team over a couple of games where we've been alright. I'd say we'll see what we're truly made of during Christmas time.

Roll on this season.

Its times like these when the club really needs their true fans support and well from what I've read in these forums, there aren't many here.

This shit is getting annoying. Showing frustration does not make you 'plastic'. Stating facts and criticising players where criticism is due does not make you 'plastic'. Wanting the team to do better and play with some more pride does not make you 'plastic'. Everyone who does that still wakes up the next morning as a Chelsea fan. They still watch the next game as a Chelsea fan. You and many others on this forum need to stop with this bullshit opinion. I don't know why you do it, perhaps it gives you a false sense of superiority. Does it make you feel better about yourself?

x100.Big clubs need to have fans with big expectations otherwise they'll fall for mediocricity.Bad behaviour should be punished, good one should be praised.

Criticising players like Lampard by calling them Fat and calling for RDM to be sacked shows some great support?Looks like I am not the one here who wants to feel good about themselves.

We were humiliated.

Everyone keeps going on about how Lucky Chelsea were to win the CL, and that we did not deserve to win it. This was the chance to show that it was no fluke, and we CAN play football. Well evidently, on that front we were left wanting.

Its a strange one, this result.

It shows that there needs to be a balance between players who are skillful and pacy WITH the ball, and players who are skillful and pacy WITHOUT the ball.

At this point in time, we have no one in our team who actually goes the extra mile to win back the ball, or pressurise the opponent. Thats where we lost the game, and will continue to lose games this entire season.

This is not an attack on Mikel, but Mikel is the equivalent of Berbatov in terms of the effort and pressurising and pace of his game. Some people like that style and some dont.

I dont think his Berbatov characteristics will ever make him into an enforcer, rather only a passive player. Lampard isnt a DM sort of player anyways, so he;s being played out of position. These two dont fit in their roles, and sadly we dont have others to fill those spots who will do the enforcing role for the team.

Playing Ramires as a RW is simply a Joke. He doesnt offer enough defensively or Offensively. Every fan can see it, except RDM. The difference between playing Bertand as a LM/LW and Ramires as a RW/RM is that Bertrand fits into that role and does well defensively and offensively. Ramires does not.

Torres doesnt work hard enough IMO. Im a huge Torres supporter, but it does annoy me that he does not close down players and give enough effort for the team. And he needs to stop sulking for half the game, specially towards the refs.

RDM as a manager has to try and play with a formation which suits the players playing in them. This method applied where players are playing out of position only works for so long.

Being honest, even RDM and we all know that Hazard has carried us for the first 3 games, so while 9 points looks good, RDM really has to look at the deeper problems and issues that have not been highlighted because we have posted 9/9 points on the board. It is better to fix something that is cracking rather than to wait for it to break, for us to lose 3 points, and then make the changes to the team.

My main problem is that im not too fond of this 4-2-3-1 simply because the players in the 2 are not good enough for those two positions.

Ramires on RW duty makes me want to tear my hair out. I simply do not understand it, unless we are playing Barcelona or someone where his main job is defense. Ramires RW against Wigan or Newcastle at home is weird.

I did not like the idea of Bertrand at LW, but his quality and effectiveness in that position has won me over, so i welcome seeing his name in the teamsheet when it does.

RDM must figure out his best formation, and if he truly believes it is a 4-2-3-1 when atleast get the right personnel for the Double Pivot and RW positions. Its not Rocket science to know that playing players out of position is never a long term solution. RDM should figure that out soon.

I'm not trying to be a cunt, but everyone on this thread getting emotional and acting as if they want to commit suicide just because some of us like to voice our opinion on Di Matteo really need to STFU.

Also, I'd suggest no one else brings up "us fans don't deserve this club etc." because I'm positive that'll lead to some arguments regarding who 'real fans' are etc. by certain posters.

On-topic though -

I've met RDM 3 times.

Twice as a player, Once when he was assistant manager with us last season.

All I can say is; he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. Not just in football, but life in general.

There lies the problem though, in my opinion.

He honestly seems a bit like a pushover. He's quiet, looks quite 'scared' around the players, and doesn't take full command it would seem. (Highlighted well last season during the home game vs. Napoli where he sort of receded into himself and quietened down his orders from the touchline when Terry stood up to give his orders.)

Sir Alex Ferguson, Mourinho, Guardiola - They all create a family feel at their clubs; but you wouldn't really describe any of them as 'one of the nicest people I've ever met' or 'seen', I'm sure.

Mourinho = Arrogant & Cocky.

Ferguson = Rude, cry-baby at times, & just a bit of a cock.

Guardiola = Thinks he and his team are better than everyone.

Di Matteo could make a fine manager; he's already a decent tactician.

But I just don't think his man management skills, which we slated AVB for, are up to scratch yet.

I feel he's not ready to lead a club like ours forward.

We need someone who'll stand up to the players, and perhaps more importantly, to the board.

Of course he played a part in our Champions League triumph, but it seems like it was more about telling the players "Do what you want to get the win tonight. Play your defensive ways like you wanted under AVB."

This was Drogba's last run with us. RDM didn't rub some magic lotion on our players to make them play well in the final and semi's.

It was the player hunger throughout the team.

Who do I think is right to lead this team forward?

Mourinho.

Do I think we'll ever get him back? No.

He's a flirt. He 'loves' every club he manages, but really, I don't see that being quite the case.

Who I think realistically we could bring in to take us forward? I have absolutely no idea unfortunately.

P.S. - If you want to respond to this, due so maturely. I don't want any "FAKE FAN!!!!!! XXXXX" etc. from people.

Just because you're not blinded by what you love (Chelsea Football Club), all that's involved with that love and have no problem with voicing strong opinions regarding negatives, does not make one a 'fake fan'.

I haven't written him off, he did an amazing thing last season. Hopefully he will pull something out of the bag, but i think we definitely need new midfielders for the double pivot.

to the people who say: "atleast it happened in the super cup instead of the PL..."

getting humiliated on European stage with the world watching and losing out on a European cup is less important than a PL game, accourding to you...

nobody will remember the PL game in the future...

and it's not even about that, we have to try and win every game, something we didn't do on Friday.

its alright, don't let this bother you!

it was just a supercup, i rather lose that then epl match to be honest, this could be a wakeup call for us, RDm learned alot from that match, hopefully lampard and mikel were one of them!

i blame it all on our midfield, they gave no protection to our defense, lampard was useless and should never start a game unless raul is injured!

and stop all this claims on luiz, he was far better then brana the wannabe winger!

and for as far torres goes?

will he needs to actually want to get the balls thas coming his way, he never fuckin makes a run infront of defenders when the ball is not perfect! HIS NOT a HARD WORKER.

the only mistake RDM made was he started lampard instead of RM, our midfield had no pace! it was unbalanced it was frustrating hazard and mata
