The Roberto Di Matteo Thread

We've won it before. I'm not even upset we lost this cup, shit happens, Man utd lost to Zenit in this cup a couple seasons ago.

It's just the way some players performed was really frustrating.

I was talking about the Club World Cup, not the Super Cup. And yes, the most disappointing yesterday was the performances. It's one thing to play decent and lose but it's another to play horribly and lose. Unfortunately, it was the latter and we did not do ourselves justice whatsoever.

Big deal, he got his tactics wrong for one match! I was among the people saying that giving him a permanent deal is a huge risk by the board, and I still think so, but the overreaction here is just over the top. Even Mourinho get's it wrong every now and then.

You can livid all you want, cause I would toss that milk cup and the Capital One cup to the trash as well!

CL, PL, and FA Cup only cup of important.

We are not like under Mourinho that we like to count every single meaningless cup.

Big team, and we only care about the big trophies.

I have to remember we are not a club like Bayern or Manchester yet.

A defeat like that aginst Atletico is really bad for the club international reputation. The talk yesterday was: "Chelsea is the worst team to ever win a UCL".

I have to adimit the way we lost it make me think the same. Now if we go the WCC in december we have to win it, in last five years, european clubs won it...

Not sure if a Mourinho team would lost like that...

Talk is irrelevant at this point of the season.

If Chelsea finish the season strong no one will remember that.

It will come a time where we look back and laugh....like Torres miss against United!

If we're not in the top 3 by December and we fail to win the Club World Cup, Roman will in all likelihood show RDM the door.

Thats how fucked we as the fans have become. We win 3 league games and as soon as we lose 1 unimportant game our fans start talking about how RDM will be sacked if he doesnt do this or that. Fucking hell, give the guy a break.

Its times like these when the club really needs their true fans support and well from what I've read in these forums, there aren't many here.

My sincere advice would be to stick with the manager and players and show some kind of respect towards them.By the way just remember that RDM is the reason why we even managed to play Athletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup Final.

Chelsea forever!KTBFFH!

Why you guys say he only got the tactics wrong for one match when we play Mikel and Lampard together every game ? It is clear that this is not working. If he continues this stupidity he will hopefully be gone by December.

Since when is the European Super Cup unimportant? I wouldn't be surprised if some fans on here claim that the Club World Cup is also unimportant if we fail to win it.

Don't think so either because Mourinho always gets his players to give 100%. The players, imo, share the blame for yesterday's embarrassment for showing absolutely no desire. Mourinho, however, does occasionally get his tactics wrong; a few matches against Barcelona in the past couple of years are prime example.

If this team was managed by Mourinho, Luiz would have been a bench warmer long long time ago and Ivanovic would be joining him on the bench already.

True, Mourinho is very traditional when it comes to defenders. And honestly I think RDM will be tempted to do exactly that after yesterday.

i had avoided most of the threads of this forum for the last 24 hours. but now that i have read it, let me say this - WE ARE THE SADDEST BUNCH OF FANS. we dont deserve the club. we lose one match and want rdm to be sacked. rdm maybe a guy who likes to play safe and when his tactics worked last week against newcastle, he was awesome but wen it dint he "sucks". 2 faced fans.

Agree with you 100%

Winning the champions league is the cause to a lot of the negative reaction on here. The expectancy level has gone up and some fans expect far to much.
