Romelu Lukaku

I'm in favour of bringing him back. He's performing in the same league against the same teams we play. He'd come here and in all probability be the best striker in the squad so don't see many negatives.

Think it's unlikely but I wouldn't be opposed.

Torres and Sturridge are both better than him though?

Lukaku is nothing like Drogba, completely different strikers actually. Drogba was a real team player upfront, everyone scored goals around him and he was involved in almost every damn goal. He also has a great determination, hence his big game record.

There's some players you just can't change, look at Mario Balotelli, if he changed all his attitude and became a good guy, he would be a totally different player and for me he would be worse. His mentallity is getting back at people and proving people wrong, that's how he gets his goals, that's why he stands still when he scores and says a big fuck you to all the haters. Drogba used to sulk at times, sometimes never got involved in the team pre training because he used to be that pissed off, for example Carlo in the 2nd season, it was about december when he was like that, against that copenhagen.

Though i think mentallity can determine a player, my point is Lukaku has a completely different one to Drogba, i feel Lukaku is the one who will stay quiet and keep his frustration inside if there is any. But that also seems to keep him in good spirit and hope, like he is at West Brom, he's grateful for his minutes and enjoying his time there, playing with the team and not being too greedy to try and impress Chelsea. He's actually working for Steve Clark in the way he wants him to.

But in terms of a player, Lukaku will get you more goals than Drogba, Lukaku seems to be more of a goal scoring striker, his finishing and movement is actually very good despite a lot of missed chances at West Brom, i assure you when he's in his prime he will be scoring for fun from all angles and troubling defences. However i would expect him to be more of a Mario Gomez, not completely failing in big games, but not coming to life in them either. Like i doubt he will be able to raise his game, he seems more of the consistent in his own way type. Completely different striker to Drogs though, but he's a lot better than Drogba in some ways, under Roman we are still yet to have a striking goal machine.

True. Drogba's character is as strong as his physique.

On current form I think he would put in a better shift than both Torres and Sturridge considering he is getting quite a few goals at WBA and looking quite threatening up front and with our creative players I am sure he would even take more advantage of that

Maybe Torres, but Lukaku wouldn't get games if Sturridge isn't.

I saw the same article mate, as far a i know he can't cause of PL rules..

"In the Premier League, players on loan are not permitted to play against the team which holds their registration (section 7.2 of rule M.6). This means that one of the 'big' clubs can loan out a promising young player to an opposing team in the Premiership but the loanee will not be allowed to play against his 'owning' club and his parent club will not be able to observe how he plays against a 'big' club. Loanees are, however, allowed to play against their 'owning' clubs in cup competitions, unless they have played for their owning club in that cup during that season."

according to Belgian press his contract doesnt allow him to play against Chelsea...

"Chelsea forbids Lukaku to play"

It's not the contract mate, it's the PL rules, regardless if there is a clause in his contract or not.
