Everyone knows Lukaku scores goals, no one is disputing that, he's a naturally born goal scorer, everyone knows that. It's his general play that Lukaku has to improve, he needs to become a more complete striker, and you can't do that by getting minutes here and there at CFC, so retrospectively the Everton loan move is brilliant for his (and ours) future.

if Lukaku had stayed & played as a starter, he could have been one, he would have improved on his " general play " as you put it.

It's simple - he is doing great in Everton, the loan spell so far is a total success from Jose's and Chelsea's point of view. Had we not loaned him out, he would not have had so much playing time and there would have been shouts for him to go on loan in January. I'm sure the club and JM are constantly one step ahead.

I'm not saying we should trust Mourinho blindly, but he should be given time to stamp his own style in our gameplan - that takes time.

Lukaku deserves to be a starter at Chelsea. Currently, Eot´o, BA or Torres are not better than him.

Lukaku should never have gone out on loan, and that's how I felt before he was scoring goals for Everton. Yes he's young and needs to be starting pretty much every game but I still believe he's more effective than our current strikers. He proved himself last season and deserved a shot this season.

Next season he will be back, banging in goals in and Jose will be proved right yet again. Just like he has been with Mata and just like he was when he instantly replaced Cudicini with Cech, another decision that got people moaning at the time.

Mata was played to exhaustion last season, he was clearly unfit at the start and since coming back into the team he looks an even better and more all round player.

I'ts not just the start of this season he lost form, he was a shadow of himself for a lot of the second half of last season too.

RDM rested him for one match at QPR and that was because he had a holiday during the international break. Mourinho has worked hard in improving other aspects of his game (which will probably stand him in better stead of playing for Spain, can you thinkof any other reason Pedro gets the nod over him?) something which RDM didn't.

In theory no, but in theory McEachran was our solution to our creativity problems in 10/11. Is it fair to ask a young lad from going to rotating with Shane Long at West Brom to having our expectation's in two of the biggest club competition's in the world on his shoulders?

I'm pretty sure Lukaku will get his chance next season if he plays well over the season at Everton (which I'm pretty sure he will). Everyone knows he scores goals, that's not in dispute - it's his general play that needs to improve and he won't get the opportunity to do that here at CFC.

There's no rush with this kid, he's only 20 and still has his whole career ahead of him. I rather him develop his overall game at Everton and gain more valuable experience by playing all the time so he'll be even more ready to take that number 1 CF spot.

He didn't think we would do good without Mata. We've gotten along fairly well, picking up points apart from the Basel game.

He never said Mata was useless and never would play for Chelsea. He wanted Mata to know that he has to adapt and play in a way that would fit the team. Mata didn't show him wrong. He did what Jose asked him to do, cause he's a tremendous professional and doesn't mind working hard to achieve what he has to. If he has proved anyone wrong, then it is those who thought Jose was throwing Mata away from the team, and that he would never again play for Chelsea.

If you mean helping defense when we don't have the ball or when they put pressure on him then I don't think it has improved much.

I will wait til we play city when yaya and fernandinho are on our ass and see if this is true.
