Something better change, 1 point from 9 against the big 3 isn't good. Only 2 wins in the last seven games, isnt good. The players dont seem fired up, and theres no second half transformation when drawing or losing......

Big Hairy Bollocks. Ref is that Scouse ball bag Mike Dean. ...so far this season..... 11 games, 5 sendings off and 50 yellow cards.

Must be pretty terrifying...

True, aggression and sheer desire to put the ball in the onion bag as an end result needs to be focussed. One reason why Scolari may seem a little disillusioned is that when he signed the £5 million a year contract, he was allegedly told he could buy players he wanted. He immediately chose Kaka and Ribery and was then told he couldnt have them -although silly money was being asked anyway. Missing out on Robinho has also meant reliance on second choice Malouda, who has erratic form. Mikel in front of teh back four, will never have the natural reading of Claude Makalele. We still have an incredibly strong squad, and silverware is definitely attainable, but failure against any of the 'big ' teams, including losing to the dippers, drawing with Bordeaux, Cluj, and losing to Roma, has shown lack of concentration and desire imo. The team although sitting atop the Premier League appears a jaded shadow of the 2005 hungry heroes. A win on Sunday will restore confidence though....

The childrens mothers were yards away collecting food from a plane according to the photographer with Carter. He saw the vulture land, and then he waited 20 minutes for the vulture to spread it's wings, but it wouldnt oblige. He sold the pic for $6000 to a New York magazine apparently.

Hello Eamonn, look forward to your posts.

Lol he should be let back in. Remember this -it was all over the news for a couple of days Before the Czech? game Staunton the Irish manager, got a call from Irelands girlfriend saying his maternal grandma had died. Staunton granted him compassionate leave with a private jet. The media found it to be untrue. There then followed a web of farcical untruths worthy of Father Ted Crilly. He changed his story to say it was his Paternal Grandma that had died. Again the media found it to be untrue. He then said it was his divorced step dads cousin s grandma or something. Again, yup, you've guessed it, untrue. The reality was that his girlfriend had miscarried. If theyd said that in the first place, he would of been excused playing anyway . what made it worse was the Republic lost the Czech game and failed to qualify....

Aroop -our Talk Chelsea on the spot Mumbai correspondent. Must be pretty scary there, and fair play Aroop, as you say to people just picking up the pieces and getting on with life. On the bigger picture, these Muslim terrorists are fucking stupid. To do this just as a new encumbent enters the White House, someone who just might have been a little less mental than George Bush, plays right into the hands of the Washington Hawks. It means a continuation of aggressive American Foreign policy, and the cycle of violence continues.......

But for us -only Les Anglais
-
Not blaming him, just not giving him automatic acknowledgement -yet. Good shout on the key players Belletti and Essien -pair of fighters. Ref must have hated the English - only Chelsea English players carded .....
-
Agree this group should have been sewn up, and the formation should have been changed as appropriate. Have to give credit to Bordeaux though, physical, and really up for it. Joe Cole must have a few bruises this morning, they obviously singled him out as the creative danger, and the ref was pretty cuntish most of the time....

its about time we tell drobga to fuck off

He came to fruition fairly late for a top player - and maybe the club should be bringing in a younger hitman. Hes helped the club with several bits of silverware, and for that I'll always see him as a Chelsea 'great', but doesnt seem to hide his self employed status, -ie little loyalty, but then again very few have that quality, its all cash driven. Could be out in January.... -
Wondered where you'd got to - good to see you back !
-
He seemed perfect when he took over, decent track record, not too controversial, and reputation as something of a tactician. In hindsight, I think most fans would have welcomed almost anyone after Aving A Laugh Grant, and Scolari is sowing a few seeds of doubt. Little sign of a plan B, and seems hardly committed to the cause. As people have pointed out -Chelsea are yet to do it against the 'big four' in this campaign. Comments like ''If we dont have the quality to beat Cluj, I will pack my bags and go back to Brazil'' dont help. That said, I've always thought the role of a manager is vastly overrated. The press create them as giants with mystical skills hanging on their every word. The primary role of the manger is to motivate in my book, instil confidence and to have contigencies for shifts in the game and for the players to respect him. Even this is not required if you have a squad of seasoned professionals, as was seen with the imposter Grant. Jury is still out whether Big Phil is all he was made out to be....
-
Pretty shocking tbh. Shambolic marking at that corner, and could see them getting something, and Scolari not filling me with confidence atm -hardly professional to say ''Im going back to Brazil if there isn't the quality to beat Cluj''. That said we should qualify - and top of the league isnt too bad

Theres no loyalty from 99% of players. They just know how to hide it. Drogba wears his heart (sometimes foolishly) on his sleeve. Theres also the element of press cajoling him into saying things, and sleazy agents touting there players to the highest bidder. Top forward most of the time, wouldnt have two titles and cups without him. I really dont think anyone at the club wants him to tell him to 'fuck off' -
Many Happy Returns ! ..sorry it's late...

Yids v Gooner final, let them scrap over a minor trophy ....
-
True L. Di Santo did have a good game, and hes definitely one for the next few years. Yup. Would have liked to have seen a lot less first teamers. Still, tinpot competition, if you win it -big deal, let some other cunt have it. We've bigger fish to fry. That said, would have been nice to have beaten the yids last year....
-
Remember Wise against Millwall ? - had all that shrapnel thrown at him, scooped it all up and gave it to a little kid in the front row
-
Remenber this after the scouse game -never heard of him to be honest. Matthew Harding was the one that sticks in the memory. Helicopters ? Just say No.
-
......good shout about the youngsters. Better than playing one or two, you get around 8 or 9 together couple of weeks before the game, and tell them theyve got the game of their lives coming up, a real chance to prove themselves. Get them bonding and beleiving.
-
Well he did play for them. Drogba will get a 3 match ban and club fine almost guaranteed

Hello. Have you met our regular SA participant Terry26 (Yougs) yet ?

Top Two players to leave Chelsea in January
Fulham Broadway replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Good call, theres no reason why in 'safe' circumstances young players should not be brought on. I'd go a step further and put some under pressure now and then, in not so comfortable situations. The reality is that with the pressure on managers to succeed, they want ready made players off the shelf. With instant global communications, and a willing network of parasitical agents only to eager to pimp their players, its easier to buy a completed product.
