  1. me as well. It would just be more interesting if there were more threads with people saying ''I think this...bla bla '' and get a bit of debate going? It is Talk Chelsea after all
  2. I think Malouda, Ballack and Deco will be offloaded , but am optinmistic that a couple of youngsters will come through, and a couple of big names will be bought.....
  3. As you say, hardly ground breaking news. Nothing revelatory there at all. Buck is Abramovichs lawyer and was given the chairmans job, and just shows he is a yes man with a hand in the till...
  4. Hes a bit of a tit, this Zain isn't he ? His command of English leaves a lot to be desired as well. No wonder immigrants flock to the UK, he hardly offers any competition. He would have difficulty filling in a benefits form, though he's probably still at school to be fair....
  5. Right bit of a moan. Seems to be quite a lot of threads started where someone just copies and pastes an article from Goal/Metro/Tribal or a tabloid which is often trivial or sometimes irrelevant. Not only that, but often no source or the poster makes no comment about it. Its just there hanging like a fart. I'm sure we're all a bright bunch, got to be as we're Chelsea fans, it would be good for posters to contribute their thoughts, ideas, and what they really think more......
  6. Very promising couple of appearances. Awareness and anticipation good, versatile as well. Needs to sort his fuckin barnet out though, looks liks a Palace player or Whoopi Goldberg.
  7. Bit long, but clears up quite a few things -especially all the tabloid bollox and misquote click here
  8. The Times - March 5th 1985 Chelsea sink into their darkest depths By Stuart Jones, Football Correspondent Chelsea 2 Sunderland 3 Sunderlarnd win 5-2 on aggregate, meet Ipswich or Norwich in final Stamford Bridge last night reached its lowest ebb. The ground that holds some of the most notorious supporters in the country became a battlefield on and off the pitch during the second leg of this Milk Cup semi-final. The frightening exhibition of uninhibited violence blacked the night, which belonged to Sunderland, the name of Chelsea and the sport itself. At the height of the disgraceful scenes one particularly thoughtless idiot ran across the pitch followed by four policemen. At this time Walker was working his way to the byline but scarcely anybody noticed until his cross dropped in a penalty area where the law outnumbered Chelsea's defenders. West, ignoring the farcical circumstances around him, headed home Sunderland's third and decisive goal. Later Walker, who had scored Sunderland's first two goals in the 36th and 70th minutes against his former club, was singled out by another loutish intruder. Only the assistance of Jones and Niedzwiecki saved him from a fearful assault until stewards, reinforced by the police, belatedly marched the hooligan away to sickening chants of "loyal supporter". Chelsea must surely pay a severe penalty for the behaviour of their so-called followers. Some ripped out the seats of their own stadium and one bystander, struck by the potentially lethal missile, was helped away. Mounted policemen who rode in to dissuade some others from encroaching on to the pitch had to avoid objects, including coins and wooden planks, that were thrown with nauseating abandon in their direction. The tie itself, emotionally explosive and almost devoid of any memorable quality, sub-sided beneath the terrifying events on the periphery. Having courageously recovered from an early set-back, Sunderland kept their heads and deservedly reached Wembley for the first time since their astonishing victory over Leeds United in the FA Cup Final of 1973. Chelsea, riding on the noise of a crowd that their management feel is worth a goal advantage, went ahead in the sixth minute. Nevin, the Scottish imp who brought a merciful touch of class and subtlety to the physical ugliness, gave his fellow countryman, Speedie, the opportunity to give his side the ideal opening. But their back four, a mixture of understudies and others barely recovered from injury, were clarely susceptible to counter-attack and eventually cracked under the speed of Walker. First he burst past Rougvie to relieve the pressure on his colleagues and then he collected Hodgson's astute pass to lift them towards an appointment at Wembley on March 24. After Sunderland's third goal in the 75th minute and the ensuing crowd disturbances, the game was played out amid an eerie air of nervous tension. There was still time for Nevin to anticipate Bennett's back-pass and lob it gently over Turner, but by then Chelsea, of not the wild element of their supporters, seemed to accept that defeat was inevitable. The referee, whose actions in maintaining some sense of order throughout the chaos, had not finished; however. He had already taken the names of Hodgson, Elliott, Chisholm anid Bennett, of Sunderland, and Thomas, Dixon and Speedie, of Chelsea. He then sent off Speedie, who has been suspended twice this season for a specially vicious foul on Elliott. Sunderland, who also struck the bar through Berry, will be without the suspended Elliott for the final. That, compared to the problems that Chelsea will face after a Football Association inquiry, seem minimal.
  9. He said ( if he actually did say it) ''Wenger thought of signing me ? Thats an honour'' How many of these stories do they think they can get away with ? I though we werent so stupid to fall for the shit stirring stories that are obviously there to de-stabilise
  10. He doesnt say any where he wants to play for Arsenal except in the journalists head.
  11. Imo hes just being polite to a Setanta leech of a journalist. Asked about Wenger, he just probably said a few endearing things about the French coach -from that the red supporting journo comes out with ''Kalou Wants Arsenal Move''. Oh do fuck off.
  12. If I had to have a criticsm, it would be as with Villa, the players decide to retreat into thier own half to give the opposition a go. This invites trouble. Other teams just sweep it across the back four and keep possession, agree with Hiddink that we are too ready to let them have it for a bit, and some of the defending was amateurish at times, lucky to escape. Sort this out and it's back to 95% winning ways.
  13. Good all round performance, slick passing and movement. Shame we didnt get two, but can see us scoring in Turin.......and they wont get THREE...
  14. Hes good at what he does -create Brand Chelsea, but I dont like the McDonaldization of Football, or my club in particular. He can fuck off and work for Coca Cola or the arms industry.
  15. Members can buy an extra two tickets (3 in total) on sat (28th) I think. Thats if theres any left, allocation is just over 5000. £25 what a bargain !
  16. Lol hes had anti -Chelsea rants before, so wouldnt put it past him. As far as the team goes -same as against Villa ? With the possible inclusion of Ashley Cole ?
  17. He bounded up the stairs with that smug grin on his chops. If you were a regular attender, no insult intended, you'd know what a cunt he is to the people that pay his wages. 90% of fans who go regularly think hes a grade A prat. Its not his job to pick transfers, but to sanction them -and in Quaresma , bit of a plum imo. If you like him, thats fine by me
  18. One day there will be an almighty upheaval as it is revealed how ManUtd have been influencing referee decisions for years. I'm with Mourinho when he said the ref was giving it all ManUtds way last night. Unbeleivable how often this happens. All their trophies have been fraudulently gained imo.
  19. Like I said, he would have sanctioned the signing. Only cares about cash and getting his CL medal. Bloke is a bumhole. Anyway, I'm looking forward to welcoming Ranieri back -fantastic bloke.
  20. Maybe you're right, he was on Scolaris wishlist and Kenyon would have sanctioned the loan deal. But no, Biru, maybe we are bit hard one the Manc slimeball, I'm sure hes Chels through and through really.
  21. Quaresma isnt eligible for CL. Well done Kenyon. But on the plus, I'm sure Stoch was listed in our CL squad...
  22. How could anyone not love Ranieri ?? The thing is , all the players can speak a smattering of Anglais -but the main thing is respecting the coach, and for some reason they thought Scolarii was a bit of cunt . Probably because of the tache.
  23. Lol of course. Theres definitely more posters when things are going well. But yeah, back to original point -definitely more optimistic with Hiddink at the helm -the players appear to want to play , train, and respect him. Think they thought Grant was a cunt, but ''fuck it we'll do it for Mourinho'', and to be fair to Scolari there was always the language difficulty..
  24. Rate him, and Abramovich has links with him and CSKA. Though how much Mr Brooks at Goal.com is privvy to such information is doubtful at best.....
