  1. Not to worry, knowing how the club works, we'll probably buy him back from WHam in a year or two for £15 million.....
  2. BBC R5 this morning saying Citehs arab owners are far from giving up on Terry. They have sanctioned Hughes to offer up to £50 million and Terrys wages to be £1 million a month.....
  3. Good report BL. Clean sheet again, cracking goals and 81 000 !!
  4. Top post -grammar aside I think some here have known that the squad is more than adequate to challenge for honours next season without any more 'big' signings. As attractive as the Man City acquisitions are, and exciting as the start of 2004-5 season was, those days are gone and there are too many people getting reality mixed up with Fantasy Football on the Transfer Rumour threads......
  5. Agree. Sparky should shut the fcuk up, and the press should as well. Statement coming up..... He's Staying
  6. He has created a fanbase in Jakarta, and Shing Pong through agressive marketing, shirt selling and smarmy sponsorship deals. He has been paid extremely well for converting Cauldron Bridge of passion and intimidation for visiting fans, to a sterile camera clicking overpriced shrine for day trippers. Revenue has increased, but at what price ? Hes been flogging the soul of Chelsea FC -and I for one, cant wait for him to fuck off to Eastlands, Coca Cola or McDonalds....
  7. Hope so -Big Gus and Mourinho could adapt, but this tactic seemed to escape Scoalri and Grant -well Grant wasnt sure of which way we were playing at times,
  8. Their should be no set formation -it is dependant on who we are playing, personnel available, injuries, and determined by ebb and flow of the game. That said there should be a tendency to use width more....
  9. City will be desparately pushing for a CL place this term, but they will come unstuck in defence. The best thing is that they'll go all out , and have a better chance of beating their local rivals......
  10. Agree, - can see him chasing the dollar at Man Citeh, they're bound to have sounded him out...
  11. Terminator -first of all it's really good to see a thread where you've stuck your head above the parapet and said what you think. It seems 99% of threads nowadays are just someone copying and pasting some press release, so fair play for that. I dont think the club have lost ambition, well especially not the fans . There has been a change in direction during the Kenyon era of marketing and finance, and the brand CFC coming before everything else. . This is just the way of all top clubs nowadays. Kenyon and Buck, etc are only interested in the business side and to me, should keep out of the footballing side. There have been some dodgy appointments -Scolari, Grant etc and I would like to see Arnesen make more of himself -but hopefully the board have learnt from their mistakes .....
  12. ARSENAL FANS HOLD PRAYER VIGIL FOR ADEBAYOR MOVE ARSENAL fans staged a candlelight vigil at the Emirates stadium last night praying that Manchester City's bid for Emmanuel Adebayor is successful. Is God listening to Arsenal?Candles were lit in front of a hastily erected shrine depicting the striker in a taxi heading up the M6, while others released white doves clutching ceremonial transfer cheques. Adebayor fell out of favour with Arsenal fans after sitting in a deckchair and reading a book on the halfway line during a Champion's League match. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "City are keen to sign Ade, as well as the tea lady and a really nasty painting of Ray Parlour in the board room. "I offered them a brace of cheap Ivory Coastians and as many Frenchmen as they could fit in their van. The next thing I heard was the 'beep-beep' of a forklift backing up with all the money." City will pay by the hundred-weight for the players, with Wenger offloading whatever leftovers are hanging around the changing room, and Tomas Rosicky. He added: "I've completely forgotten what we originally bought him for. Does he clean the bogs?" City are expected to field a 1-1-8 formation with Adebayor playing in the inside-wide-right-secondary-holding striker position until someone explains to Mark Hughes what midfield is. Wayne Hayes, secretary of the Arsenal Supporters' Club, said: "Arsene brought us success, beautiful football and the glorious Thierry Henry. But if the Adebayor deal falls through, I swear I'll rip his cock out through his nose."
  13. Is it definitely pig aids BB ? How many of these have you got ? http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Pandemic-flu/...s/Symptoms.aspx
  14. What does he expect. a game of psychological wits ? If hes going to get personal about physicality, who is it whos been taking growth hormones most of his life ? Yup the poison dwarf. What if all players took growth hormones ?, He'd get trod on, that what.
  15. The media have been talking all sorts of Terry Fairy stories, what a load of bollocks. Theyre desperate for him to leave , and even get his playing stats and goals scored wrong....
  16. Hes unique in as much as he is owned by Joorachabian ? He, like all pimps wants the best rate for old bacon neck. Still, think he'd be good playing for us....
  17. OWEN BREAKS WRIST DURING CONTRACT SIGNING MICHAEL Owen has begun his Manchester United career by breaking his wrist in three places while attempting to sign his new contract. 'He's still not ready for a pen this size' According to the club, Owen passed the medical and then punched the air in delight, slightly spraining his shoulder. A club spokesman said: "We hoped he would recover quickly after the medical and could at least take part in the first half of the contact signing, but the fountain pen was just too heavy. "His agent was able to move his hand to form a legally binding signature but then, when Sir Alex congratulated him, he just fell to bits and had to be shovelled-up and carried out in a couple of wheelbarrows." Owen, currently recuperating in the Louis Saha Memorial Injury Suite, will meet the rest of his team-mates over the next few weeks as they fall apart during pre-season training. Former Man United player Stephen Malley, said: "The gaffer feels Michael can supply something different as none of the lads have experience of wearing ankle casts on the continent. And he can also teach some of the younger strikers his agonised thigh-clutching technique." Charlie Reeves, a United fan from Surrey, said: "I remember that goal he scored for England when he was 12. Marvellous. His cheeky little face made him look like something out of Harry Potter "And now he is playing for my favourite team unless I start supporting Real Madrid or X Factor or something.
  18. Agree Gale is prize cnut at the best of times. 50% of Terrys success is his positioning and command of players around him. Chelsea FC would find that hard to replace, but its not irreplaceable once you remove all the emotional attachment. That said all the threads, and Gales comments are a no brainer, hes going nowhere, hes been Mr Chelsea now for a few years...
  19. Sounds nice. Thing is a lot of cities are so congested, its better to get on your bike with your i pod, a lot quicker...
  20. I think it would be good, and as we know is just as effective on the right as the left.
  21. Theres a thing over here, may not have them in Holland , called traffic jams....
  22. Press conference after US Tour , announcement Ancellotti has parted on mutual terms with £30 million pay off. Buck and Kenyon sandwiching some fat Israeli that once cleaned Abramovichs yacht unveiled with 5 year contract......
  23. Good news. The important thing is that he stays as injury free as poss this time round....
