Am watching the thing and it's kinda cringey...

And yet when new players join us, they talk about the winning mentality the club have, they talk about the club are always challenging and winning trophies etc. If the Premier League and Champions League are the be-all and end-all, am sure they would not have said that and/or would not be so keen to join us considering we do not always challenge for the league title or Champions League every season. The consistent winning culture, fostered by winning domestic cups as well as the Premier League and European trophies, has been one of the main attractions for players over the years. The difference between us and Arsenal is that we always have been in a better position than them to make it count and consistently win things, even when we have average seasons etc. And this is all the more relevant now considering what we are building for the future. A win here would give them a big confidence boost. I can assure you that this has nothing to do with being English. It is the fact that we are in a proper cup competition and that there is a major (domestic) trophy waiting to be won. Go ask fans on social media and am sure you will see many non-English fans are keen to win the FA Cup as well as the English ones.

Leverkusen's 50-minute documentary on Havertz with English subtitles...

This is a proper cup tournament, not one a one-off game for a trophy like the Community Shield. Since we are in the final, it’s kinda BS to say it doesn’t mean much, particularly it is the FA Cup. Lots of players, especially the younger ones, haven’t won a single trophy in their career and winning it would help give that winning feeling and breed that winning mentality in the team, much in the same way it did when we won the League Cup under Mourinho in 2004.
-
That is because we weren’t in it. Why would any of us even bother with it? But it was a different case with the Europa League final last season, wasn’t it?
-
Not sure what to expect from this final and not sure if I can take the disappointment if we lose it.

Soul searching? Are you okay, Tomo?

Kante and Willian in the squad for selection tomorrow. Loftus-Cheek out injured with a minor injury.

I don't think that is taking things out of context because that logic is silly. Have seen situations where people use that logic when it suits to them but don't mention it when it doesn't. Person A likes Player B but person C doesn't. Person A then tells C that he/she is FOS because Manager/Club A/B/C want Player B and therefore Player B is good OR Person A doesn't like Player B but Manager A continues to play Player B. Person A doesn't use 'Manager A want Player B and therefore Player B is good' logic. Instead, Person A criticizes the manager instead

Tonali expected to join Inter for 35 million very soon... https://forzaitalianfootball.com/2020/07/brescia-starlet-close-to-joining-inter/

Yes, there was a difference but that does not mean the performances pre-restart were average. Pulisic just happened to take his game up to another level, as Lampard mentioned it before. The performances might not have been bad but doesn't mean Kovacic haven't had any average ones either. Plus, if Kovacic was really good, he would have played more than he did in the second half of the season.

So we have to wait until Leverkusen crash out of the Europa League? C'MON RANGERS!

Kepa is crap but that second video is selective, TBF. As for the first bit, didn't Sarri bring in his own GK coach last season? There were rumors that Lampard wanted Shay Given as the GK coach earlier this season but that went nowhere.
-
That is just what you feel or see about Ake but using the reasoning like 'he's great because Manager X, Y, Z wants him', like you did, is dumb because if that is the case, then shouldn't we keep and play Jorginho at all cost because Guardiola wanted him?
-
This kind of logic is not really good to say the least. It is like saying we should not criticize Jorginho and appreciate him - despite the flaws we have seen from him - because Guardiola wanted him.

Read the article earlier but it really doesn't add much to what we already know. The article is basically like a summary of our transfer targets this summer.

Is that not convenient to disregard context completely? How can one not consider all the factors when it comes to picking Player of the Year? Pulisic practically went from looking lost at the start of the season to arguably our most important attacking player now. Also, you keep saying Pulisic was average. What was average about his performances? Once he got into the XI from that Burnley game, he was very good and contributing attacking numbers that were only second to Abraham. If he was average, why then did Lampard consistently play him until he got injured in January? Whenever he has been fully fit, Lampard has put him in the XI. And if we want to talk about average performances, go through someone like Kovacic's or Mount's seasons and there are such games as well. Moreover, Kovacic did not play as much in the second half of the season as he did in the first half - partly due to Lampard chopping and changing the midfield - while Mount, for example, was hooked off a couple of times recently because Lampard wasn't happy with his performances.
