  1. Update - I'm fairly confident Cech is fit as Rhys Taylor is on the bench for the reserves tonight.
  2. L'OL are only four clear of Bordeaux now. Marseille's revival continues - and David, did you see PSG? Lost 2-3 at home to Nice They're as good as down, now.
  3. My eyes were clouded by his tantrums at Old Trafford. I never realised what a good job he does for Liverpool until those two matches against Arsenal in the UCL. Jim, I am judging the players over the whole season - and yes, consistency is key. But has Adebayor been consistent since January? I think not.
  4. I don't think its a meaningless game - win this and automatic qualification to the Champions League is moreorless guaranteed IMO. Arsenal are at the centre of a landslide and will fall foul to Liverpool by the end of the season - the Scouse scum to grab 3rd.
  5. Good shout about Alex. Those three seasons at PSV have turned him into one of the best defenders in Europe. He would be first choice at any other club, you have to feel.
  6. According to the official club website, Cech could feature as soon as tonight. I sincerely hope not - he'll be rushed back into action far too soon, and aggrovate the wound again. Its only Wigan - Hilario will be able to cope with the defence we have.
  7. Sidwell and Wright-Phillips should go for the good of their careers. They are both brilliant players but they need to play every week to have a chance of making the England squad. Tal Ben Haim has been pretty much useless on the very few ocassions he has been called up to the squad, he isn't the same quality of Terry, Carvalho and Alex. I can see Belletti and Pizarro leaving - they are just too old and will only ever be fringe players as of next season, IMO.
  8. I would love to win the league but you have to say that ultimately finishing second wouldn't be so disappointing - we've had a difficult season with a lot of players injuried and at the Cup of Nations and we've had to cope with a mangerial change. To finish second only 3 behind the eventual winners if things stay as they are would be magnificent. All we can do is win our remaining matches.
  9. I think there are players who have been far more consistent than both he and Gerrard. Joe Cole, Joleon Lescott, Robbie Keane, Javier Mascherno and Matthieu Flamini have been excellent this season. And Kalou should be in the young player's list along with Joe Hart.
  10. Sky really don't want Chelsea to win the title. Shame, that.
  11. Cunts. Unfortunately, the rest is history. So we've got to get over that and focus on crushing the cheating bastards this month
  12. Why isn't Drogba's curler against Reading on that list as well. It was a brilliant goal.
  13. Is there any particular reason we are changing sponsor from Samsung Mobile to merely Samsung?
  14. With Grant in charge, I'm already expecting the worst. I hope he proves me wrong and sticks one up Senor Twat's arse.
  15. I can see it being a comprehensive victory ultimately, but I don't expect a world-class performance. Its Grant in charge, afterall.
  16. Adebayor   That says enough of these awards.
  17. Here's a little stat for you - in 24 games Hilario has played for Chelsea, we have lost only one - away to Spurs.
  18. If I had any knowledge of the Russian language, I'd welcome you in your native tongue, but I unfortunately know none of your language. Welcome, anyway.
  19. A belated welcome from myself.
  20. He may be fit for Everton away if current progress continues, according to various reports. Definitely out of Monday's game according to Sky, so is Carlo.
  21. I think Carvalho's header against Middlesbrough deserves a mention. From that list, Alex's goal against Villa wins it for me.
