Sidwell and Wright-Phillips should go for the good of their careers. They are both brilliant players but they need to play every week to have a chance of making the England squad. Tal Ben Haim has been pretty much useless on the very few ocassions he has been called up to the squad, he isn't the same quality of Terry, Carvalho and Alex. I can see Belletti and Pizarro leaving - they are just too old and will only ever be fringe players as of next season, IMO.

I would love to win the league but you have to say that ultimately finishing second wouldn't be so disappointing - we've had a difficult season with a lot of players injuried and at the Cup of Nations and we've had to cope with a mangerial change. To finish second only 3 behind the eventual winners if things stay as they are would be magnificent. All we can do is win our remaining matches.

I think there are players who have been far more consistent than both he and Gerrard. Joe Cole, Joleon Lescott, Robbie Keane, Javier Mascherno and Matthieu Flamini have been excellent this season. And Kalou should be in the young player's list along with Joe Hart.
