  1. Spot on. I think you hit the nail on the head, he does seem like a very good caretaker manager than anything else.
  2. Breed is the correct terminology. They ain't human.
  3. Actually, over the last month, Bordeaux's odds for the title increased hugely, its been the tighest Ligue Un for years.
  4. That bit that made me laugh most was the "jammy win" over Liverpool by United. If I remember correctly, United annihilated Liverpool.
  5. After yesterday, to call Ligue Un boring is a massive lie! Paris SG avoided relegation, but Lens went down! Lyon are the Champions
  6. Gotta agree, I do like Bentley alot. Plus, he's young and has plenty of time to mature into a great player. Would love to see him and Cole on the wings, but Ribery would be the ideal man to bring in, in my opinion, because he has the added experience of already being world-class.
  7. I agree with you about him saying we are playing better football. We're not. What I was saying is that Mourinho's system worked, and there was no real need to change it, especially in the middle of the season. If he does stick around, I'll guess we'll see what the summer brings.
  8. Its a shame, because he played so well for us at the end of last season and the start of this campaign. When Mourinho went, his chances became much more limited.
  9. Ballack has been very consistent in my opinion, plus much of his first months in football since injury were for regaining match fitness. However, he has played exceptionally well since late January, in my opinion. Joe Cole has had his off days recently, I hope he steps it up for the Final. Just seems tired, though.
  10. Good evening, welcome to the site.
  11. I am rooting for Cardiff, because they have had financial struggles this season and it would be wonderful to see them end the season with a cup.
  12. No chance? We pushed them all the way in the Community Shield. We matched them for 37 weeks of the Premier League season. We outclassed and outplayed them at Stamford Bridge. What did Nani and Ronaldo offer that day, except training exercises for Ferreira and Ashley Cole? And throughout the season, we have coped with injuries, suspensions, bad luck and international call-ups, and yet we finished only two points behind them. Cech, Cudicini, Terry, Carvalho, Lampard, Ballack, Makelele, Malouda, Drogba and Shevchenko have been plagued with injury this season, and Kalou, Drogba, Essien and Mikel went to the Cup of Nations for a few weeks in a difficult period. Yet we had players like Pizarro, Wright-Phillips and Anelka that took up the standard and they kept that Blue Flag flying high. So you take that all into consideration, and tell me we've got no chance.
  13. 4-3-3 worked under Mourinho. Why change it? What you are implying, is that Grant needs to change his formation, and then he will not be seen as using "Mourinho's squad." The fact is, Mourinho came in, and it was still Ranieri's team. But he was given the summer to make his changes, and it seems likely the same will be offered to Grant. I don't want to see him here next year, but he is getting a lot of unfair criticism. If we had played that season under Mourinho, people would forget about it and see what the next year brings. But under Grant, one thing goes wrong and its immediately his fault. Very unfair, it doesn't matter if you like him or not, in my opinion he has done okay. Not brilliant, but okay. And he has earned some respect from the crowd, and rightly so.
  14. Give Malouda time. This is exactly what happened with Ballack, and he is making the doubters eat their words. Anyone who watches Ligue Un will know Malouda is a fantastic player, he merely needs a season to settle.
  15. All the players will be linked with moves away, its nothing new. And I honestly can't see that many changes happening. We've seen with Liverpool, that making 15+ changes to the squad is nothing but deteremental.
  16. After the Newcastle match, Essien said "I would play anywhere" because he "loves the team." Doesn't sound like someone who would leave IMO, the man is very honest afterall.
  17. I'm routing for the Czechs. No particular reason, I merely like their team. Okay, I'll be honest... its because Cech plays for them Nah, being serious, I reckon they have the team to win the competition. Not the best individual players, but a brilliant team unit.
  18. Two wingers are uneccesary. Malouda will shine next season, trust me. Its typical of fans of the big clubs to want a player to leave after an average debut season. The French league is HUGELY different from the PL, it takes a season to adapt. He'll come through. I watched him for 3 years before he joined Chelsea, and he was arguably Europe's most consistent winger from 2006 to 2007.
  19. On-pitch moment of the season = Didier Drogba's goal and celebration against Liverpool in the Champions League Off-pitch moment of the season = Mourinho's sacking Player who must not be sold = Joe Cole Greatest goal = Alex vs Middlesbrough, with Shevchenko's assist Most embarrassing moment = The last-minute equaliser against Wigan. Effect of manager’s shopping = Mourinho's signings have failed to deliver, save Alex, whilst Anelka has had little impact for Grant. The season in five words = Initially disappointing but eventually promising Five-point action plan for the summer = Buy a young goalkeeper, a winger, a striker, a playmaker and sell surplus players
  20. I'm not denying that Aguerro isn't a good player, I think he is excellent, but they way some people talk of him, you'd think he was Pele. Still, at his age, he could become as good as Pele. But it would take a lot of money to bring him here.
  21. Hopefully, more people will be encouraged to take part.
  22. Mirko Vucinic, Frank Ribery, and Ivan Rakitic and Manu Neuer are the four I'd most like to see.
