  1. Whilst it makes me sick that our board are willing to do business with those cunts after they refused to do the same when we wanted one of their players, I'm surprisingly cool about this. Mata is just too nice a guy for me to start hating him even if he was playing for one of our rivals. One thing I don't get though, if Mourinho refused to loan Ba to Arsenal because he considered them our rivals then why is he happy to sell Mata to Manchester United? Still hope PSG or some other club does a Willian here but at this point it's not looking likely.

Will have to start looking for a new avatar now, had this one since May 19th 2012.

Maybe Jose feels that Mata is not that big a loss so trading him to a rival is not that big a deal. Or he feels Moyes is clueless so United is not a threat. I honestly don't get trading him to United. Maybe it's a combo of Mata not being his type of player and Moyes not being very good. Can't imagine he'd trade him to United if Fergie was still there.

  2. I don't get it tbh why Frank is picked almost game in game out regardless of performance. I know he's one of Jose's "untouchables" but some of his performances have been unwatchable. I'm sure Jose has his reasons but I'm just not smart enough to figure it out.

  3. That Texan kicker was crap last night. That's got to be brutal for the Texans defense - sh*tty QB play most of the season, sh*tty kicking game - while they play their as**s off.

Former Bama RBs - Richardson, Ingram - not doing much in the NFL. NO was a bad spot for Ingram and Richardson can't seem to find a hole to save his life. Lacy on the other hand at GB is a beast.

Were the Steelers supposed to be this bad this season? I admit I don't follow them much but I always expect them to be winning more than losing.

Tampa Bay - Schiano is going to be the first guy fired unless the owner is a complete idiot. That team is a mess.

  4. Gary kubiak has gone off to hospital. Collapsed on the sidelines.

Said it wasn't a heart attack but still pretty intense to see.

Texans dominated the first half completely. Watt was his typical pain in the ass self causing mayhem everywhere. Second half Luck's WRs remembered how to catch the damn ball. Will Schaub ever see the field again as a Texan after Keenan's performance last night? And WTH is the matter with Richardson? Did he forget out how to run? When the trade first happened I thought Cleveland was stupid. Now I'm thinking Indy may have gotten screwed giving up a 1st round pick for Richardson.

Freakin' Chargers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1st and goal on the 1 yard line and can't punch it in. I don't even understand what that playcalling was down there. And then to let them go down the field and score easily in OT.

  5. Klay Thompson was on fire. Lakers shooting was ice cold. Nash is aging drastically day by day. Farmer has been a nice surprise. Me thinks there are going to be lots of highs and lows this season with this Lakers squad.

  6. Falcons and Texans won't make it...

Barring injury, its going to be either the Seahawks vs Broncos...

However, I'm still going to put my money on the Giants as a sleeper pick (even though 0-3)

    AFC: Texans over Broncos.

    NFC: Falcons over 49ers.

Falcons over Texans to send Tony Gonzalez off happy into the sunset.

I'm a huge Julio Jones fan and would love to see the Falcons in the SB but I don't see it. With all the God given offensive talent ATL has I sometimes feel they're too conservative.

JJ is a stud for the Texans but I'm not convinced overall.

Giants - unless that o-line gets its sh*t together real quick then Eli is going to be on his backside a lot this season.

Right now I think SEA vs DEN and the first one pains me to say.

  7. NFL fans, bet on your two contenders of each conference to be on next year's SuperBowl...

I will go first: Redskins or Seatle for NFC and Broncos or New England for AFC! :P

RGIII needs to focus less on the RGIII brand and more on his football. Don't see Luck or Wilson constantly in our faces yet I'd take them both over RGIII any day. And I have a strong dislike for the Seahawks (can't stand Carroll).

Right now the Broncos and Peyton especially look every strong. The Pats - depends on how much Brady can get out of his relationship with the WRs and when Gronk comes back (and if he stays healthy).

  8. I don't think Mata is ever gonna walk.

His Oscar-esque performance at Swindon is ample proof in that matter. He just have to work on his work rate and this whole Mata v. Oscar situation could be good for both players.

If it was any other year maybe but with the WC coming up and playing time hard enough to find with the Spanish squad..... Mata needs to be playing or he won't get called up by VDB. Another team will gladly find a place for him on the pitch on a regular basis.

  9. VAN GINKEL INJURY UPDATE

Chelsea Football Club can confirm Marco van Ginkel successfully underwent anterior cruciate ligament surgery today (Thursday).

The 20-year-old midfielder is expected to be out for approximately six months.

Van Ginkel suffered the knee injury during the first half of our Capital One Cup match at Swindon on Tuesday evening.

That was quick. When my daughter had hers (twice) the doc wanted to wait for the swelling to go down (2-4 weeks). Hope he has a strong recovery.
