Cesc decline started with Matic's, I can't of course, say the latter caused the former, but fact remains, if he has a reliable pivot player playing alongside him, or if he's in a 4-3-3 with decent coverage for him, he'll shine.
I don't think we should sell him, I think he can still do many things for us. He doesn't play in big games - in a 4-2-3-1 he definitely doesn't, who knows in a 4-3-3 - but we have been discussing this on Kev's thread, players can win us titles or contribute for them even without performing in big games. If we have a more suitable player for those games, we'll play them. I believe Cesc has space in the team, and he was very good today.

Outstanding play today, was phenomenal. Gets so much stick but in games like today he's invaluable. Really happy for the guy!

I have nothing against Mikel. Not the slightest bit. But I don't like his football at all. Think he's regressed from what he used to be years back. He does too little for me.
But today he was fantastic. Big move from Hiddink too. But it worked out brilliantly.

Eden has hardly ever got injured in his career. I think he was only ever injured once at Lille and prior to this season, twice for us. Now he's been injured twice in the space of a month.
Maybe it's just wear and tear of playing too much football. No player has played more PL minutes than him since he joined us in 2012. Hopefully, a speedy recovery. I really miss the magic we've seen from THAT Hazard.

Probably genuine but more concern over doing further damage. He did try and continue for a bit and actually broke into a sprint but then went down on his haunches again.
