USA under armour would dispute ypur claims having some of the worlds highest paid and highest profile names on their books.
Puma have Arsenal on a similar deal to the Adidas Chelsea one but over 5 years.
Anyway this is about Chelsea makng them look more desirable....not the other way round......hence the big bucks

Arsenal didn't lose Nike. They changed to Puma because Puma provided them with the (at the time) largest contract in Britain. Same goes for Liverpool when they went with Warrior. Neither club "lost" their sponsor because they were shit. But please, don't let facts get in the way of your agenda.

If Chelsea switched to any known brand the shirts would sell no matter what....and the club shop would still sell the branded clothing.
Chelsea dont make money on every shirt sold.....only the ones the club shops sell.
Under Armour, Puma etc etc would all work.
As you do not know me please dont speculate on what I know about marketing and all the buzz word bollix associated with it.
Was in the game for years

happy with 60m if its confirmed true.
Hope Nike respect the right blue and I dont mind a bit of red providing the words ' honi soit qui mal y pense ' were stitched into that bit
But at the end of the day..... 60m is terrific and could end up being biggest in Premier if Utd fail to qualify for Champs league by end of next season as well

If we have to groundshare...hope it is the Olympic stadium (full 60k) rather than a souless 2/3 full Wembley

Rhino's Skin got a reaction from Kieran. in 🏴 Frank Lampard
correct...the terms you have used above are used nowadays to refer to someone as lower class.
I was referring to the pikey origins of how I came to use it as an 'oldie' and how it was associated with West Ham as they had a reputation of having a large following in the past that were vagabonds, scallywags, chancers, etc etc.
Even the BBC let the term ride on Top Gear
Greavsie has got on his high horse about the word pikey and yet I dont see him complaining vigorously about being chavs or IMHO something more derogatory rent boys.
Maybe this should have a thread of its own but then again Frankie Lampard has played for both the pikeys and the chavs ... ;-)

Rhino's Skin got a reaction from Barbara in The Pre-Season Thread
the problem is not pre-season and how many miles and matches we do.
The problem is post season and then deciding how much R & R the players need which is where the medical staff got it wrong last year as we were so 'under cooked' compared to other teams who had returned to training 3 weeks before us.
Bar last season, we normally hit the ground running into a new season which suggests the medical staff usually get it right irrespective of where we have been pre season.
This could be one of the reasons why Mourinho and the main first team doctor at the time had angst towards each other over the summer and into the new season as his normal pre season preparations had been seriously undermined

Rhino's Skin got a reaction from Essien19 in The Next Manager?
can we also stop the myth that Jose spent that amount. The club spent that amount but not all were his signings.
The new manager needs to either embrace the fact thats the way it works at Chelsea or convince the board that its his total responsibilty and sign off each player idenrified by himself or the scouts.....like Klopp has at Liverpool after seeing their haphaxard way of getting players in.

I would be happy enough if it was every 3 years.....that seems to be the way of the footballing world.
Whats needed is seamless transitions from back room staff through to players and managers. A few clubs like Bayern, Barca, Juve and even Man City seem to manage it far better than we do as a club

Ivanovic is 31 and by giving him a contract we can still get money for him by selling if a club came in for him ala Ramires....that Chinese lot seem to want to throw it around.

Well lets have a look at a couple of things here.
Why has he come out now with this?...i.e. straight after the match in the reporters zone. Either being badly advised or him just being a bit selfish. The talk today should be all positive and about our current run of form and good performance yesterday including giving fringe players a run out....not this negative frenzy that this has turned into.
Has his agent already had wind of a reduced wages and playing time offer and rejected it before it goes to JT..so no official contract on the the table as yet?
The club say there is still room and time for talks to sort out future plans for him.
Has he had an offer from China? There was huge interest in him when he took on that ambassadorial role over there not so long back.
Find it hilarious when posters talk about club/player loyalty ....... Chelsea FC have stood by JT through all his troubles onand off pitch whether proven or not and if he had been at certain other clubs, could well have found himself sacked.
Of course we all want him to stay, but he himself sees himself playing for another 2 seasons.
Going to USA or China where he could finish off his coaching badges and be able to have the chance to put it into practice over there might be great news for us in the future when he could come back in some sort of coaching capacity.
