Sarri and Zola would be absolute gold by the way. I would be absolutely delighted if this happens, and it sounds like it will.

The clause has expired and unless there is a new negotiation, the Coach is still under contract with Napoli,” Mattia Grassani, Napoli’s lawyer, confirmed on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“If a club wants to sign him immediately, the €8m is no longer a reference, a contract would have to be drawn up from scratch.
“On June 30 his registration [as Coach] expires and from July 1 [when Carlo Ancelotti takes over] he’ll have been formally removed but he can’t break free [from his contract] except with the permission of the club.
“In practice the release clause is no longer valid, and any interested club should speak with De Laurentiis to free Sarri from his current contract.”

I might be slightly biased here (lol) but I feel that Eden Hazard has earned the right to at least comment on this. He has stayed at the club year after year despite us playing defensive football. Now there's a chance we'll get attack-minded coach so yeah, give him at least a chance to state his opinion on the issue. This is Eden Hazard we're talking about, the best and most talented player at the club, and not some random mediocre player like Bakayoko who's opinions obviously would be ignored altogether.
That rumour is most likely BS though.

He should be suspended right away and probably sold in the summer. What a disgraceful act from what I thought was nice and hardworking player who might not be the best, but puts good performance on the occassion.
But to do that against first coach, regardless if he stays or not should not be tolerated. Ship him off to wherever outside PL and get Bailey.
He broke the rule and there is no going back IMO. I hope the board acts accordingly, because if we let that slip, any player could take advantage of us which is not good.

I like what I read about Sarri and I've seen Napoli a few times and they play very good football, especially considering they don't work on huge budgets. He's gone in there and improved a number of players.
An appointment like this is a huge risk but carries perhaps the biggest potential reward which would be playing exciting, vibrant football that most of us (including Roman) have wanted to see, but also in a means for us to be challenging for the top trophies.
I understand also that he isn't afraid to play youngsters if he deems them good enough which would be another bonus.
He would need time and patience though. From the article above, Napoli struggled initially and the likes of Guardiola's City, Klopp's Liverpool and Poch's Spurs were all pretty ordinary in their first 12 months. We have a group of players that has been used to playing in a certain style for a number of years and they won't adapt to such drastic changes overnight. If the board are willing to go 'all-in' with an option like this and give it the opportunity to flourish then I am all for it.

It does seem like managers can't seem to win these days. If they overachieve with clubs on small budgets like Poch and Sarri have it's "show us your medals", yet if they win at City, Paris, Bayern, Real, Barca apparently it doesn't count because even Shannon from Scunthorpe and her dog could do the same. It seems all managers we get linked with right now are being put in one category or the other.

I wouldn't say there is hype, especially not as much as there has been with Tuchel. Sarri had a career in banking until he was 40 years of age, then started coaching at a low level and worked his way up. He has only been coaching at the top level for a few years, so he is still quite new to football at this level. Now he is getting recognition because of what he has done with Napoli in the past two seasons. Add to that, that Napoli looked to be going backwards under Rafa. He brought in a few signings of his own and turned the team into what they are today.
Napoli haven't got the funds of a Juventus or other Italian clubs, and the current Napoli squad is thin so it's meant next to no rotation. Also, two of their key players sustained long term injuries, one being the LB Ghoulam vs Man City last year in the group stage of CL. They are still close to Juventus in the table and a win today for them would close the gap to within one point. To win the league over a dominant Juventus side is near on impossible, but he's running them close. People are curious how well he could get a side playing and competing at a club with a larger budget and higher quality players.

It's got to the point i want us to build a structure going forward. Lets be honest, Pep isn't relinguishing top spot for the forseable future so we might aswell turn that negative into a positive and build a style of play while integrating the young players which in the long run will see us competing if done right. I was happy with the solid shape first, everything else second when it had us amoungst the favorites for major trophies, but if we are going to be an outside bet (which we all are for as long as Pep's here) id rather we started playing attack based football.

Yeah to be fair, a player like Musonda won't develop playing in a premier league team that chases the ball all game long and fights relegation. Rodgers is a proven top coach, who won't play him out of position (on the wings). And intends to use him in central midfield/n10 role. A couple of apps in europe are an added bonus too.

Celtic's a good fit. People argue that the SPL is weaker than the Championship, but Celtic are twice the team of any Championship one. Better coaches at the club, more demanding mentality, more consistently in cup finals, and they always have some level of European action. It could be argued that it's bad to have low-level opposition, but I think it's a good thing for Charly to get used to winning, and being proactive instead of reactive. Charly isn't even a player who needs to be playing against the top players of the world to develop: he just needs games full-stop: and the SPL should surely make a man out of him. Even Sinclair's become tough.
It's almost mad to think that within a space of just a few years, 2 players who entered their ripe stage with Celtic (Van Djik + Dembele) will gross around 100m+. 2 players, from Celtic's tutelage, 100m. 2018.
Finally, from Charly's POV, building a relationship with Celtic is only a good thing considering that their players eventually transfer to top clubs elsewhere these days. If we jerk him around, or don't want him (...), it'd be wise for him if he could return for a 2nd-stint with Celtic right away to continue building his reputation.

    Disagree.
The one-two he created with Michy...
The Ronaldo chop, that help him cut outside and send a runner through the middle.
    His goal...
The ball over the top from Fabs...
He turned his player inside out a few times and was greeted with more simply due to being that good.
You're almost penalising him for being poised, bracing or squaring up and taking contact. He played smart. He played against team that had a lot of numbers behind the ball.
