Rice for £100m is simply unnecessary when the likes of Kamara and Tchouameni would be available for less.3 points

its pretty clear that the problem is not Tuchel, the players are having a shitty attitude and showing lack of professionalism, some of them are already on vacation it seems and are looking at their new destinations in the summer. Boehly has a big task ahead of him, but the main priority right now is to keep Tuchel and back him in the transfer market.3 points

Willian did the same thing with Conte and Kepa with Sarri... and in the end they won We have to protect Tuchel from these snakes at all costs3 points

Blimey I'm surprised I still have an active account here. Might as well pop in and say thank you to the greatest owner in football history. It's obviously a shame what's happened but he's left us with everything, he literally completed football with us. We all know he's been done and is innocent but let's all get behind Bohely and hope the success can continue and we can keep challenging for the biggest honours in the game.3 points

Aside from the fact we can finally bury this top 4 'race' with a win, we can also put a mighty step in to sending Leeds down. Maybe some of these players need to be made aware of just how big a game Chelsea vs Leeds is...3 points

Azpi needs to come out the team. Play Chalobah. His minutes have been so limited, that he played for the development team tonight. This is a must win game for Leeds and they will raise their A game. They were unlucky not to get something at the end today, especially with 10. I reckon we will get top 4, but I really do know want to finish below Arsenal. I will hate to drop points this game and be in predicament of needing Arsenal to win so that top 4 is more secure and not worry about Spurs catching us, however at same time losing 3rd spot to Arsenal.3 points

Richarlison is quite possibly the player I despise most in all of football along with Bruno Fernandes. If we ever signed him I don’t know what I’d do…2 points

what a banger , her 2nd one is one of the goals of the season, reminded me of Drogs against Everton in 06/07 season. Sam Kerr is an amazing player, what a season for her2 points

Many congrats to Emma and the girls, 3 league titles on the trot, amazing work . Now if only the men team could show this kind of character, attitude and commitment.2 points

hard pass on Kounde mark my words, and have said it for ages do not buy especially for bloody £68.5m2 points

No!!! Especially as Arsenal were written off and all...lucky they did have their bad period really. Not that had made much difference in terms of much.. Hopefully we can make it convincing as well and actually defend as well as score2 points

It would seem it is just a matter of the vetting process to be completed. He seems to becoming a part of the Chelsea family already.1 point

Kounde is definitely more like 1,76m. Tomori's height is inflated as well tho. No way he is 1,85m. Also Thiago looked significantly shorter than Lamps so i think he is sub 6ft as well. Gvardiol on the other hand I think is taller than 1,85 as he has been listed at that height for years now even in his teens when he was still growing. This kind of roller coaster is what you get when you buy Kounde. Similar to what we had with Zouma and David Luiz I do not doubt that he is an immensely talented footballer who just learned to play the wrong position like David Luiz or Alonso. And you1 point

Talking to a player and enquiring whether he's interested in a move or not doesn't mean the transfer needs to be confirmed before the takeover is officially completed. Just today Matt Law reported that Marina & Cech have already been doing a lot of leg work regarding the summer transfer window, which probably translates to sending out scouts and having preliminary discussions with the agents of the potential transfer targets. Once the ownership situation is finalized, they can then start official transfer proceedings straight away without needing to start from scratch. If they wait ti1 point

I like how he is worth billions yet looks like a regular middle aged dude getting up from the couch on a lazy sunday with his baggy clothes.1 point

Has he tho? Have not seen him for quite a while i guess he will be here next season for the mere lack of options but if he really is good enough we are only about to find out1 point

Jesus represents everything we want in a ST under Tuchel's system. He probably starts alongside Havertz.1 point

yes, likely United bound (which sucks) he has grown 4 cms in the last 2 years, so is now 1.82m, which is basically at or very near my cut off for CB height (1.83m minimum or so, although he is CRAY fast and great on the ball, and so I would prefer him over Kounde (and he would be far cheaper as well) I would not at all be unhappy IF we bought Timber as a the 2nd CB buy (and he can play RB as well) he may well end up a semi Alaba type1 point

I mean he is a wing forward and can play as a striker, obviously Mbappe won't come here i just making an example.1 point

same height as Josko Gvardiol and José Giménez and a full 7 cms taller than Kounde (I think more like 8 or 9 cms as I do not trust that height for Kounde, he is really short, that afro makes him look artificially taller when he blows it out) and Tomori is also 2 cms taller than Marquinhos and Thiago Silva1 point

He isn't ready to come here and be a starter, but with a season of Premier League football under his belt, he will be much better equipped to play a squad role here if we required him to do.1 point

No links, I'm just merely suggesting that both would be seen as potentially 'statement' signings in terms of marketability for the club due to their profile, but ultimately I feel most of these profile of players would be an ill-fit for the club and Tuchel.1 point
-
I think its definitely unfair to say that. Your effectively ruling out all players in Serie A based on one guy. Tomori has been pretty good for AC Milan since going there, playing consistently. Surprise, he’s been ever present this season for them and they are top of the league with only 31 goals against which is joint best with Inter and Napoli. For me, one of Frank’s biggest mistakes here was not playing him with Thiago Silva more at any point as I think they’d of made a pretty good partnership and he would of learned a lot too. What he lacked in reading of the game at that stage1 point
-
I would agree. I would far rather a 'statement' signing be a big centre back or centre midfielder that can anchor the team and build around than a vanity purchase like Neymar or Pogba. I mentioned since that post, if we were going for a statement signing based on marketability as well as effectiveness then we should make a play for Kane in the summer, despite how unlikely it would be to pull off. But besides that, I would just much rather signings that are going to fit alongside what we currently have here and fit what Tuchel is looking to build.1 point

I think they will definitely be looking to make Chelsea 'theirs' with the transfer activity this summer and usher in a new era. Moving players on has to be just as efficient as players in this summer. The biggest one I worry about is Kante. He's a massive fan favourite and I think there would be a lot of outside criticism if we moved him on or didn't sign him to a new deal but ultimately he doesn't justify a new contract now at his age and seeing the decline this season. I heard Matt Law on a podcast the other day and he was spot on, he said if it was him he'd sell Jorginho this summer an1 point

I really doubt Dujon is gonna make it here. He is a good player but showed little to suggest he will once get to the required level while on loan at Bpool. He is sure better than Sarr tho, so maybe good enough for a squad role1 point

Both of them are projects, though. They are super talents, yes, but still need time to grow. Rice is already top class. And most importantly he wouldn’t need any time at all to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. Rice is literally a guy you can plug in and forget about and he hits the ground running with ease. The other two could take months to acclimate like we saw with Havertz, Werner, Ziyech etc. And the latter two still never adjusted. We need to have a summer where we go after players who we know will be “safe.”1 point
-
Honestly, I’d do that deal at this moment. He’s very young, he’s English, supports the club, and will give 100% to fight for the shirt. He would lock down a place in a key area of the team for a decade. Yes, £100m sounds crazy on its face, but we desperately need a refresh in midfield. Kante and Jorginho need to be phased out if not sold. If you get even 5 years of world class DM play that £100m is worth it. I would try to sell Jorginho to Juve for 25-30m and go all out for Rice. We simply cannot allow him to go to United. He would totally transform their midfield just as he would ou1 point

Campeonas, campeonas, ole ole ole! The women secured their third straight WSL title with a 4-2 win over Man Utd in front of over 4,300 fans and Todd Boehly*. Kingsmeadow's biggest crowd of the season saw the girls trail one-nil and then two-one before coming back to claim the three points to finish one point ahead of second placed Arsenal. Now it's on to Wembley next weekend where CFCW will try to retain The FA Cup by beating Man City women. Easier said than done however because City are in blistering form. Since the turn of the year they have been the best team in the coun1 point

To be fair this bloke regularly leaks team news shortly before being announced so he may well in the know here. Alonso also has form with Lampard according to reports. This ultimately is my biggest worry. Defensively we've been awful recently and it's no surprise that 4 of our defenders have either been linked with moves away or pre agreed moves. I can guarantee they'll have no problem's raising their levels for the cup final but ultimately we need to get these points and have top 4 locked up.1 point
