  1. Be careful what you wish for. Just look at Arsenal. That's all I'm going to say.

  2. Yeah I didn't necessarily mean targeting specific clubs, it's challenging the hypocrisy within the football community that we've seen in the past couple of days but completely understand your point. That all boils down to jealousy for me. Everybody said that Roman would get bored after a couple of years and bail and leave the club ruined but I would assume amongst the top clubs he's actually now one of the longest serving owners. I was listening to TalkSport earlier. Although he likes the sound of his own voice, I like listening to Simon Jordan because he firstly talks a lot of

  3. These lot will back down. They are hired by Sky and BT who are scummy as the founders of the ESL. UEFA, FIFA...the LOT of them are as scummy as each other. I'm very disappointed with the football fans such as ourselves who are going to let this one slide.

  5. ROM RAGE Chelsea European Super League exit due to Roman Abramovich feeling ‘livid’ at being ‘blindsided’ by backlash Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck ultimately led the Blues' exit from the European Super League. But it was Roman Abramovich's anger that brought the whole house of cards down. The Chelsea owner is said to have been "blindsided" by the strength of the backlash to Sunday's announcement - and then "livid" that he had been misinformed about the likely reaction. As the pressure grew, with fans gathering outside Stamford Bridge, Buck urged

  6. We were at the center of a real shit storm yesterday. I can forgive the performance yesterday. We have been looking better lately. We are in the top 4 and have a chance to win the CL. I can wait to see if he makes the attack better after a true off season and pre-season. I still like what I see with Tuchel.

  7. This will probably end up becoming a jumbled rant but whatever. Apologies in advance. I'd like to hope that this isn't the end. At the very least fans have found a voice in all of this, but let's be brutally frank this situation is no more than the tip of the iceberg. The two corporations that seem to be coming out of this debacle, if anything, with greater credibility are Sky and UEFA which is quite frankly embarrassing. UEFA have managed to slip under the radar in all this a new format for European competition which on paper, looks dreadful and essentially boils down to a bigger mo

  8. The fantasy world some choose to live in isn't confined to the la la land of Republican politics in the USA. In football, as everywhere, people give themselves permission to believe that their guesses are as as valid as reality. They manage to construe a total lack of evidence to support their beliefs as final and conclusive proof that they are totally correct. We will therefore continue to read crazy opinions about Marina from time to time but she's a star.

  10. I would like Roman or Bruce to issue a John Henry style mia culpa but, other than that, Roman is so far in credit with fans of this club that I can't believe he will suffer any permanent damage from this. He certainly won't with me.

  12. I disagree that he does not show anything special. There are glimpses of excellent technique esp controlling the football in tight spaces as well as vision. It is just very erratic and moving him around is not going to help esp as a false 9, where he lacks the basics (make runs without the ball). Obviously he needs to improve, but his inconsistent form matches his young age.

  16. Do we really care about how other fans perceive us? It's become nothing but lazy views and tribalism when it comes to non-Chelsea talking about us. By this point, it's tiresome and not worth bothering at all. As for Roman, make no mistake that this ESL fiasco will always be a blot in his copybook but that aside, it's easy to just forget the good work that he's actually done for the club. No need for me to go through what he's done for the Men's first team and so that aside, Roman has invested and helped bring up the best youth academy in the country, invested and helped built the most dom

  18. Sadly alot of fakers out there, bandwagonism. Uefa is just as awful as those ringleaders behind ESL, they should be shown not 1 ounce of leniency.

  19. What has baffled me is I'm on a group on Facebook, only about 30 people but we're all passionate football fans and earlier this week 10 were shouting anti ESL stuff from the rooftops. This morning I posted the tweet about Uefa's new plans which sneaks two teams in based on history ESL style, every single one of those 10 have seen it and only 1 reacted. Which begs the question, were the other 9 (and this will apply to many others around the world) actually outraged about this or were they just doing it for likes and to fit In? Because as far as I'm concerned people outraged about the

  22. It's not so much the fans, its the owner we have that gives us the label of being a plastic club. Social Media is completely dominated by the left/ far left, even Chelsea fan forums. We, along with City and PSG, will always a bad image problem while we have such controversial characters running our clubs. Despite Liverpool and Utd being the driving forces behind the SL, the fans from the other clubs still see us, City and PSG as the real problem and the evil clubs in football.

  24. This will be thoroughly disappointing if the case. How is Bruce Buck seriously supposed to represent us on committee's for the Premier League, Europe, etc after this?! One thing I'm almost certain the other Premier League clubs will push for is sanctions in place to ban these likes of being on the committee, representing their club. It's common sense anyway. To start the process of earning that trust back, there has to be changes made at that level and new faces to represent the club.

  27. That performance was imo a result of questionable tactical decisions and pre-match furore. The players' heads were not in it. I think we were lucky not to have lost considering the chances BHA had, so there is that positive to take from it. I now expect to bounce back strongly after the club has withdrawn from ESL and some key players got rested... We will look a different side with Azpi, Kante, Kovacic and Chilwell back.

  28. Anyway, game aside. What a day for the club. Not sure what drove it, but respect to the club for having the guts to correct course in face of intense scrutiny. And most importantly, massive props for Chelsea fans who went out in protest.

  30. For me personally, the statement is enough. Just want to move on from this sorry shambles. Having said that, I do now genuinely think the time is now right for Roman to sell up. We're stagnating or even going backwards as a club now and I cannot see us ever seriously challenging for the title again with Roman in charge. Just making more wrong decisions than right ones these days, with his team making far too many crap signings and managers who are not up to it for one reason or another. Also the collapse of the new stadium and his problems with our government. Would be forever grat

  31. Yep, like I said before, one league of 36 teams so you won't even play everybody. How is that remotely fair? If you're competing against teams in a league format you have to play everybody in it for fairness. And I saw point 2 the other day. That was UEFA's pathetic attempt to pander to these elite clubs. Like has been argued over the last couple of days everything should be achieved on merit. I hope they retract that one.

  32. I must say fair play to Arsenal. They're mostly a complete shit-show nowadays but their statement is actually excellent and very apologetic. I'd like to hope what we do end up officially announcing is of a similar sentiment. Spurs though, Levy has expressed regret but no form of apology and basically just a statement trying to justify themselves.

  33. Just watched Tuchel's interview and I'm a bit baffled by his comments about tiredness. He was the one who said a week ago that this is not the time to make too many changes to the team and said that he maybe fielded too strong of a lineup at Wembley, which may have resulted in tonight's performance. Like WTF?

  41. this could actually be a smart move. TT has done wonders with Rüdiger and Chirstensen and he might be able to do the same with Süle. He has lost his way a bit and massively regressed following his ACL but he still has the potential to become WC. Just remember when everyone was laughing off the rumours to sign John Stones. Now he is one of the best defenders in the league. Same can happen with Süle. When TT trusts him and is convinced he can turn him good it is worth a shot. I doubt Bayern will want to lose 3 cbs in the same window tho.

  42. True but Spurs haven't won a trophy since what 2008? Why sack the manager who got you there a week before, even more so considering Kane is likely to miss out and put a 29 year old with 0 managerial experience in his place? Its may have just papered over the obvious cracks as you’ve said but the logic behind it is frighteningly off. Mourinho may be passed his best but if you had the choice of him managing a team in a cup final or an absolute novice, surely it would make sense to stick with him? This is why I think the rumours re the super league makes more sense. Maybe not but I don

Most Rwandans - about 85 percent - are Hutus, but for a while, the Tutsi minority was the ruling power. Untilllll 1959, when the Hutus overthrew the Tutsi monarchy, causing a group of Tutsis to form a rebel group and try to take back control. Four years later, both
