  1. He does not offer much else when he does not score goals and he is clearly very dependent on his teammates giving him good passes. He is currently nowhere near Mbappe level because even when Mbappe does not score, he is always involved in the game and always dribbles past players or makes good passes to his teammates. Haaland is basically a white Drogba, who reached his prime earlier, but even prime Drogba at 32 years old offered more than just goals. His hold up play was much more solid and elegant, while Haaland has a good hold up play, but it is still very raw. Drogba's link up play w

  2. He was walking around like he didn't give a flying fuck. He didn't press when the player was 2m away from him. Really disappointing attitude to have. Mbappe is lightyears ahead in ability and mentality.

  3. No doubt Rudi ruffles feathers and is a hard, aggressive, giant pain in the arse at times. But who wants their teams CB's to have the character and personality of a Vicar? Take away Rudi's fire and negative character traits and he'd probably have been a bang average championship level player.

  4. It is not a pen by the rules of every single footballing authority within the UEFA. And every referee knows it. Just as every referee should know to let the foul run to give the VAR a chance to help. The only explanation is that they acted the way they did on purpose. https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct I agree with you. The rule is stupid. Just heading the ball into your arms could easily be exploited as a way to make a close control without risking it to get away from you. but a rule is a rule.

  5. Enough noise on social media to know this would be happening. Club happy to run with it, then publicly condemn. They need banning....again. Before they kill another 39 fans

  7. for us yeah. And I doubt Arsenal win the EL anyway. But if they did, we could do a 2021, finish outside top 4 and kick westham out by winning CL. Damn that was so sweet doing that to the Spuds.

  8. On that basis the PL is shit because look at Hazard and Coutinho on these shores compared to Spain.

  9. The standard of German football is probably the lowest its been in my lifetime. Let's not forget that Werner was banging them in for fun but look at him now. As for the CL, that has an awful lot of rank teams in it too. Not saying he's crap, just not worth the money or close to it. Personally, i'd rather take Aguero for a couple of years while we search for a good, young striker at a decent price. Time our scouts (do we even have one?) earned their money and found a player or two instead of lazily going for just another expensive flavour of the month. There's still plenty of very goo

  10. Roma vs Man Utd could be fun. Ideally I would love to see Man Utd bottle another semi and Arsenal lose in the final to crush whatever hope they may have of ever returning to the top.

  14. Not worth anything like the money and wages being quoted for him and certainly not suited to the way we play. Having a hot streak in a pretty shit league. Move on and wait for a better value player.

  15. Do the rule makers of Uefa even play football? That rule would mean that I can lift my arm up high as high as I want and then head it to my hand and get away with it. Who comes up with those rules? Just like the new handball rule that apparently almost everything is handball, regardless if your arm is close to your body in a natural position or unnatural position like Can was (if for instance KDB shot and it hit Can's, hand like yesterday, it would be a, penalty even in the old rules, but also a pen in the new rule book) . All the analysis of the game by English experts(BT sports) I foun

  16. You 've been listening to the lament of the Liverpudlian commentator. Real defense gave in on a number of occasions but the Liverpudlians were shooting the pigeons. Real are good at passing game under press by the opponents as well - something Tuchel is trying to emulate. We already kicked out two out of four of the big teams of Spain. Why not Real too ?

  17. Come now bro, its pool. Eng media would never make a mess about it, now if it was us we wuld likely get banned and the eng media would decimate us in short 2 days.

  18. For me, it was an obvious penalty. You learn as a kid that you should always let your arm close to your body, when you are defending in your box. Especially nowadays that almost every incident is awarded a penalty, regardless where your arm is positioned, this Can incident should even be more awarded a penalty. I would say that the Bellingham situation was BS in the first leg, but I would be furious if Chelsea did not get a penalty for the Can incident. Can is just stupid for putting his arm in that position

  19. This tie against Real will be so much fun!! Kroos-Modric-Casemiro vs. Kova-Kanté-Jorgi, should be interesting. Also there will be big duels on the wings.. I expect few goals(1-3 on the two games) and tense games, Tuchel and Zidane will bring up all their tricks. Can’t wait!

  21. Based on what? 7 games at the start of the season and a handful of games last season? Really? No doubt he is a good prospect but again, people throwing James under the bus for others is nothing new and it’s jumping the gun to say that Lamptey is better based on maybe what 15 games...? This is basically the Connor Gallagher v Mason Mount thing again, in all realism if Lamptey played here and James at Brighton it would be the exact same situation but your post would be “James is better than Lamptey why did we sell him”. Its not harder to play for Brighton or West Brom than it is for Ch

  25. Just don’t concede vs real that’s all. They are well organised defensively and we can not even score a lot vs shit teams. Also if we manage to mark vinicius and benzema out of the game they are completely useless offensively as well

  26. Very clear who UEFA wants to win this year's CL. They even bought that tool Can to make sure lol.

  27. The media just casually mention that the vermin threw rocks and lumps of iron at the Madrid coach smashing the windows. If that had been our fans it would be headlines and on a permanent loop on Sky.

  28. And I reiterate for a third time, its nonsense. I've genuinely lost count of certain members nitpicking (yes, that's what it is. Nitpicking) faults in our youth players. First it was Mount and that he needs to be out on loan, some suggesting over Gallagher, and now James apparently isn't good enough. I've already seen the former prove such comments to be utterly nonsense, looking forward to James proving the same when he's hardly put a foot wrong in a season where every club has been inconsistent. Bookmarked. Cannot wait to revisit this next season.

  30. I'm seeing a lot of ifs buts or maybes. Why didn't Trent make the same mistakes against us? The reason why is because we don't have the midfield quality Real has. The likes of Kroos and Modric are able to make ridiculous passes that made Liverpool capitulate. If you had chances to score 6 or 7 goals atleast while your opponent only had 1 chance to score then you're dominating. I don't know why you're not giving them the credit and just shit on Liverpools defenders. To say that you'd like to face Real over Liverpool is crazy in my opinion. Before this match everyone thought Liverpool woul

  31. Well, if all 5.4 million Norwegians each buy 200 quid worth of Real clobber................... and if the profit margin is 25% they have paid his salary + 20m quid to that nice man Mino just for smiling and laughing all the way to his Swiss bank in his brand new Bugatti Divo! lololol

  32. HUGE loss. Kovacic is vital for both our shielding of the backline and for the transition to offense. Jorginho cant defend, Kante cant play an accurate forward pass so we are basically blunt in terms of couner attacks which is one of the very few reliable ways to score vs City. We can only hope he is fit for the CL semis.
