  1. Really the baptism of fire for Super Frank and it is encouraging to see opposition fans aknowledging you look way better than everybody would expect. Last night I instantly turned off my TV after Tammy's miss and I felt so damn pissed. Again a good match with a good intensity from our boys and a definite improvement on the United game. Frank Lampard's adjustments were spot on and one thing we can be sure of he ain't going to be that rigid as Sarri. Some players have huge careers, but turn into shite managers, some turn into decent ones, I feel Frank is going the champions route. The sign

  2. Laughing at all those suggesting last season that Alonso was on the same level or better! This guy is a solid left back

  3. Loved our team yesterday, everyone fighting for the badge. And we are still missing some great players.!

  4. Am I the only one to think that Christian Pulisic was one of the best Chelsea player on the pitch - of course with Kante MOM? He is only 20 years only, soon 21. Young player, but so talented and so mature: one assist and one goal (off-side), so active. He should be a starter imo. We have a diamond here as a player, hence the price we paid to buy him. I have read European press, and they are unanimous to say the same: he is an exceptional player. He is a diamond to polish.

  5. chelsea played very well yesterday, and the movements without the ball of pulisic and pedro were gorgeous. maybe without hazard it's easy to play better, but without hazard it's more difficult to win something

  6. If Conte, Sarri and now Lampard overlooked Michy for other unproven options like Morata and Abraham, that says something

  7. The Tammy bashing has begun. I think his 'bad' performance is wild exaggeration. Yes, he had one big miss but he was burning the Liverpool defense with his movement. I would not worry about a striker who missed chances in a couple of games. Even good strikers like Aguero miss several chances. The worry is when the chances are not being created. Michy, Giroud have had their time to claim the striker role. Multiple managers have overlooked Michy and even though Giroud was decent yesterday, he needs to be managed game-time wise. Abraham is still my preference for Leicester on Sunday. W

  8. That was some fucking performance huh, im utterly loving the way we game. Super fast and direct, thats the Chels I know and love. These past 2 games was better than anything Sarii produced imo of course. JUst tough luck we didnt win, cuz the performance deserved the win. MAde us so proud man, Frank is on to something, just compare this Jhorgo and Kova to last season, not even the same players you would think. This is the desire and will and that fighting attitude I knew Lamps would demand......good on him man. And btw FUCK FA......fucking horse shit they had 2 more days rest playing a shit tea

  9. For every Emerson, a case where a run of games allows the player to improve, because he actually had potential, there are 100 others who don’t get the minutes because they really shouldn’t. that’s why we have the manager and a myriad of coaches to assess that. Like tomo said, different managers don’t like what they see in bats in training or in matches. looks like the club will rather give Tammy minutes instead, and I have no problem with that. Just think it’s risky business for Lampard.

  10. Is pining for the strikers that aren't playing going to be the theme all season? Michy is crap and part of me wants him to play asap just to remind people of that.

  11. A great game, a lot of positives. No need to go on an emotional rollercoaster for a SuperCup game. With penalties you win some, you lose some. I'm more worried about having to play next opposition already on Sunday coming off from 120min on high pace football. Luckily start of the season and a young squad makes the recovery easier.

  12. Can you lot stop shitting on every player after two games? He maybe or maybe not good enough but at least give them 6 months first and stop with these kneejerk reactions.

  13. 4 of his last 6 manager's decided he ain't worth the bother and even Dortmund decided against signing him permanently, there's only so many times the it's not him it's them card can be played.

  14. I never believed that VAR would work but I always felt it should be tried. I have to say that, despite teething troubles, the system looks like it might prove me wrong. I think they are getting most of it right and I am 100% in favour of delaying the offside decision until the action has reached its conclusion. I'm convinced this is exactly the right way to do it and that we are all just going to have to get used to it. Let's be generous and say that most of the time offside flags are accurate. Even so, all of us can remember far too many good goals being ruled out by incorrect flags. Far

  15. Very confused, can only assume the ones being somewhat negative did not watch the game? Aside from Dave and Zouma, I thought we played really well against the European Champions. I was shocked at times how good some of our play was considering how little time Frank and Jody have had. I'm pleasantly surprised and I'm glad we had a reality check against United.

  16. Really happy with the way Chelsea and the youth played today. I think Frank's ideas for the team are slowly coming into effect. Come home, Frank. Let the season begin at Stamford Bridge.

  17. Very pleased with tonight, just a huge disappointment having come so close to lose like that but it's put a marker down for the season to show we can still compete with the top teams. This has been a baptism of fire for Lampard, he couldn't have had it much more difficult but I feel there has already been a significant improvement across both games. I mentioned at half time that he will make mistakes this early on in his managerial career but tonight was an example that he will identify and learn quickly from those mistakes and we'll be better long term as a result (note the Leeds play of

  18. Nothing to be ashamed about with that performance. Future looks bright.

  19. Not even bothered about the result. Very, VERY encouraged by the performance. Hopefully our best players are ready for Sunday. Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, and Pulisic were all excellent. Pedro and Zouma vastly improved after last weekend. Mount looked super nice coming on. We play a MUCH more effective brand of football thus far under Frank. Attacking with real intent and purpose. Keep in mind as well that Liverpool are European champions and had 2 days extra rest. Yet we were by far the better side.

  20. I sometimes wonder what some fans smoke, for many years we've longed for a manager that will give the kids a chance. Tammy will come good if he gets enough opportunities this season, he would probably score more goals in League than Morata and Higuain did last season. This is a transitional season and we should encourage and back the boys, if we get it right we have striker for the next 8-10 Years. Hitting the woodwork against Man U on Sunday and keeping us in the game against Liverpool is a good start. watch the goals fly in but 1st the crosses.

  24. Yet another time you or someone else mix up the Prague clubs. It was Slavia Prague. It is like saying CSKA Moscow while meaning Spartak Moscow, or Man City and Man United.

  25. Yes but that's the frustrating part you score you start jumping up and down like a tit and then the goal's disallowed for something that happened a good few seconds previous. I'm not a fan of VAR at all human error is part of sport and you'll have things go for and against you.

  27. Not Oscar. Anyone but him, he was shite. Mount reminds me a lot of Muller. A bit of everything, speed, skills, shot, movement and a high footballing iq.

  28. been reading some comments by scouse fans, saying that Kante deserves a much better team and should leave Chelsea to join Pool or City lmao. Pool fans are fucking idiots, that lot was so lucky to win this Super Cup, fuck them all, i seriously can't stand those morons, go ahead and sing you'll never walk alone and brag about Instanbul you muppets. We will get you next time you cunts Also, hearing Klopp talking about Adrian was cringe as fuck:

  29. First home game, time to get the first win. We've had some good performances but need to get going with the wins. And I'm going so even more important we win this one

  30. In that case, we should NEVER ever give any good young striker a chance, because at a certain point in time, bamford had a good season too, right? If I directly quote the number of people already writing Tammy off, it would be half the forum. But let's not forget, it was the same number of people who had written RLC off. Or believed in the Oscar hype and written kdb off etc etc. Some people even have a next summer Target list already, after 1 game of this season. Irrespective, the point I am making is simple. Give him a chance. Tammy won't be the first striker to not score in a back

  31. He is a good player. Quick and good with the ball at his feet. Top finish for the offside goal too. Even if they do not count, you can pull confidence from them as they were scored in a full pressure situation.

  32. His pace and directness will be key for us. And that goal he scored which was ruled out, was Hazard-esque.

  33. Good performance against Liverpool! Really good on the ball. Makes great off-the-ball runs and shows good vision for his age. His shooting looks impressive too. cant wait to see how he develops under frank. Expecting great things form him in the future.

  34. Though I thought Azpi was much better than he was against United, I can't help but think what we'd look like with a fully fit Reece there. Emerson is such a breath of fresh air at LB now that he seems fully settled. He's a true weapon going forward like clubs such as Liverpool and City have. He's also solid defensively. If we had two modern fullbacks it opens up so many possibilities for us.

  35. He has the largest testicles on the planet with those two penalties.

  36. Absolutely gutted. We were fantastic. I don't have the words to rationalise that. It might only be a glorified friendly but that hurts.

  37. Unfortunate but biggest thing is we showed a reaction after the Man Utd battering. Actually was really impressed by Zouma tonight. Won everything in the air and looked a lot better. Don't have criticism for any player tonight. Thought Kante and Kovacic in particular was outstanding. Need a win against Leicester.

  38. I wondered that too. He sure is versatile. Can play every position in midfield and on the wing. I dont think our finishing can get any worse so it is worth a shot.

  40. Man or mouse. When Rashford made his debut he scored two goals, never looked back since. You either have it or you dont that swagger that unfaltering confidence that badass attitude that killer instinct. That penalty is the one moment you look forward to since you are a boy and there is only one thing you can do. Strike it with conviction in a sensible direction. Stand up and be counted. Tammy did not in any way give the Impression that he was up to the occasion. He is not ready and will never be. If it had been a good pen and Adrian had pulled out a great save then fair play. But the tame pat

  44. Reputation restored after Sunday....Not arsed about this result. The performance was outstanding, and we really made Liverpool work for it. Still not convinced Tammy is our number 9 though. Still very green, he had the chance to wrap it up from 3 yards and fluffed it. really needs to step it up at this level

  45. Missed a sitter. Misses a penalty. Not great. But he encouraged me with his hold-up play and let's not forget, he won us our penalty in normal time. Lightning strikes twice - whoever said history doesn't repeat itself. Lukaku missed the last penalty against Bayern in a 5-4 shoot-out defeat after a 2-2 draw.

  46. Don't post that often anymore on here but that had to be the most spirited Chelsea performance I have seen in years. When Tammy stood up I thought of Lukaku and new the outcome. But all I can say is well played lads.

  47. The decision to bring him in permanently has been justified already, imagine the shit we'd be in right now with Kante's injury woes had we not.
