  1. This is why I smile when I read 'we signed *insert player name* for the next ten years'. It's been good knowing ya, big nose. Now I hope Chels find a good successor immediately. Don't want to go through what Utd and Arse went through after they lost Schmeichel and Seaman. Or even more recently, post-Reina Liverpool. That's some scary shit.

  2. You can't knock what he's done at the club on the grand scheme of things. He's played a big role in two league title winning seasons and also won as a starter in the league cup, fa cup, europa league and champions league. He certainly has limitations but he's made the most of his career here and at £7m he has proven to be a hugely successful piece of business by the club, and a bargain. He is definitely in the decline now though, and as people have said it would be best for both parties for him to leave. He gets a fresh start and can play week in week out at a midtable team in the latter

  3. Hopefully the statement we release when we sell him is even shorter and more dismissive than the Conte one was. We sell our legendary keeper to fucking Arsenal to hand the keys to Courtois and this is how it's going to end. You just know that in his first press conference in Madrid he's going to say something offensive about us like "I'm finally at a big club."

  4. Hope this deal isn't confirmed until his replacement is in the door.

  6. This isn't like a Matt Le Tissier at Southampton or Shearer at Newcastle, where they can offer nothing else than club legend status to keep hold of them. Chelsea is still one of the biggest clubs in the world and serial trophy winners, so Hazard moving to Chelsea has been more than justified at both ends. I don't think his personality suits a pressure cooker environment like Real Madrid, and I think he will always be more loved here than he ever would at Madrid because he'll never adequately replace Ronaldo whom he'll be no doubt compared to if he moved this summer. However maybe he

  7. Steady on. Eden is and has been pretty damn honourable towards this club. If he wants to move on after 6 years of loyal service, then so be it. Courtois is a different kettle of fish. That guy is a parasite.

  8. He says the deal could be reached quickly for 160m. I think they're offering 160 for both. It never says we reached a deal. Anyway.... I think Fabrizio Romano should be our go to guy from now on.

  10. Yeahhhhh. We all love Big Pete but he's nowhere near the Cech we knew and loved these days.

  12. Don't forget to take his dad too. He can post the team line ups and tactics before el Classico. Madrid fans are going to hate him.

  13. My two cents are this: I think the club assured him of coming back next year and being in the team, Fabregas contract is up and Mount would be his replacement as an impact sub pushing for more time. He will be cheaper salary wise than Cesc and arguably more effective on the pitch. He wont stagnate at Derby, Lampard & Morris will make sure he is playing lots and also in the positions Chelsea want to see him at, while also playing in a league with extremely physical players in it. I could be extremely wrong, but it makes sense in my head.

  14. Imagine transfer window of Jorginho, Golovin, Bailey, Rugani, Allison, Higuain and keeping Hazard here. Woow just woow

  15. No point comparing him to Mbappe or Hazard or anybody. Somebody said Robben and that is more alike. Also Mbappe isn't good in close spaces? Seriously watch football guys. Would be a good move I think. 40-45M is a decent fee for a player who could give us 10 years of games.

  16. Hell no! Watch some of his highlights. He's a sensational dribbler, has excellent close control, and glides past players with ease. Honestly, he reminds me of Mbappe in terms of playing style.

  18. Comments like this baffle me. I wonder how Martinez would have reacted when he was at Everton and an international manager starting touting one of his best players saying they should move to another club. What a prick.

  19. Funny thing we had the perfect Lampard replacement in KDB.. Eden enough mentioned he respects Chelsea’s decision, if he can’t leave (under 225m) so be it. Don’t think Eden is the kind of guy who will push for a leave..

  22. My favourite part is when he answers a question about London: "Surely, but I am here for football, I am here for Chelsea. I want to play in Stamford Bridge, for me it is a dream. London is a wonderful city but I am here for Chelsea."

  23. CLASS!! CONTE RELEASES STATEMENT Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has released a statement through the League Managers Association after being dismissed by the club last week. He said: “I would like to thank all of my friends at Chelsea Football Club for their hard work and support over the past two seasons which enabled us to win the Premier League and FA Cup together. “To the players, whose talent and commitment was so important to our successes, I thank them for everything. It has been a pleasure working with them every day. To

  24. Translation: ️ confirmed: #Chelsea He will meet with Thierry Hazard, father of Eden, this week to offer the renewal of the contract to his son. It would go from 11.7 m € to earn 17.7 m € a year plus a contract for 5 years.

  26. Love it @DiMarzio indicated on Sky Italia this evening that he believes that a Chelsea x Real Madrid deal for Kylian Hazard & Thibaut Courtois would cost around €160m.

  30. So seems like we've agreed a fee, now it's just for him to agree terms with them over the contract. This is Courtois after all, golden glove winner, if they don't offer him 250k p/w he will U-Turn lmao

  31. No chance, with all due respect to Cech, imagine him playing sarriball?

  35. Please let this happen. Since Allison is going to Liverpool, sell willian to Barcelona, in a player plus cash deal and get Cillessen from them in return. Win win

  36. Far from an unknown, he’s supposed to be the next great Italian CB... he was the reason Bianconeri supporters weren’t all that bothered when Bonucci left. After seeing him in limited mins last season I doubt they have the same opinion of him, but he is young and worked extremely well at Empoli under Sarri

  38. Chelsea are willing to let Thibaut Courtois leave Stamford Bridge but have told Eden Hazard that he is not for sale, according to Guillem Balague.

  39. Thibaut Courtois is very close to Real Madrid . The Belgian goalkeeper has only one year to go and Chelsea does not want to let him go for free. The operation could close in the next days around 40 million Euros. (via @20m) #CFC #RMCF

  40. First words are important. I can't remember a manager going for the word 'Fun' ever in a first interview. Ancelotti, Mourinho, Conte all tried but we were practical under them in varying degrees

  41. I can’t believe that we will sell him now we can’t sign his replacement. I believe that this is a game to get a better contract from us . If finally we sell him I would get Isco or asensio and a huge amount of course .

  42. I really don't understand why people think this kind of statement is "class act". Its pretty obvious its a pr statement made by pr people. After all Conte right now is a football manager without a job, and its natural that he must leave the impression that he doesn't have bitter feelings towards his former employers.

  43. Exactly, I knew it would come to bite back. Already stories about clubs regretting this decision. Premier League clubs regret voting for early closure of the transfer window as prices remain sky-high and they are left with less time to negotiate deals

  44. Mixed performance yesterday but the guy just deserves to be on the winning side, never mind being a key part of it. Absolutely outstanding achievement and its testament to the trajectory of his career as well, even Giroud who like Kante played in the lower divisions of French football, an amazing achievement. Just shows that hard work is vitally as important as talent and even looking at Pogba for France he is 10 times the player for them than United and I think its almost purely because of Kante. Can't wait to see him with Jorginho as well, also I think Sarri like Conte did, will get him to i

  45. Talking of English I have to say I'm always impressed with our overseas members with their English I did three years of Spanish at school and all I can remember is how to count to 20 and a few swear words. It does make me laugh when they use English slang or phrases the highlight for me was some poster saying we were poor piss today

  46. Kante is the player who should be top earner. A model professional who nev speaks bs in the press and always gives his all on the pitch. Him arbing most would drive greedy players to display the same commitment. And we should do it now not wait until Paris comes knocking bc so he feels how much we appreciate him.
