  1. This is why I smile when I read 'we signed *insert player name* for the next ten years'. It's been good knowing ya, big nose. Now I hope Chels find a good successor immediately. Don't want to go through what Utd and Arse went through after they lost Schmeichel and Seaman. Or even more recently, post-Reina Liverpool. That's some scary shit.

  2. You can't knock what he's done at the club on the grand scheme of things. He's played a big role in two league title winning seasons and also won as a starter in the league cup, fa cup, europa league and champions league. He certainly has limitations but he's made the most of his career here and at £7m he has proven to be a hugely successful piece of business by the club, and a bargain. He is definitely in the decline now though, and as people have said it would be best for both parties for him to leave. He gets a fresh start and can play week in week out at a midtable team in the latter

  3. Hopefully the statement we release when we sell him is even shorter and more dismissive than the Conte one was. We sell our legendary keeper to fucking Arsenal to hand the keys to Courtois and this is how it's going to end. You just know that in his first press conference in Madrid he's going to say something offensive about us like "I'm finally at a big club."

  6. This isn't like a Matt Le Tissier at Southampton or Shearer at Newcastle, where they can offer nothing else than club legend status to keep hold of them. Chelsea is still one of the biggest clubs in the world and serial trophy winners, so Hazard moving to Chelsea has been more than justified at both ends. I don't think his personality suits a pressure cooker environment like Real Madrid, and I think he will always be more loved here than he ever would at Madrid because he'll never adequately replace Ronaldo whom he'll be no doubt compared to if he moved this summer. However maybe he

  7. Steady on. Eden is and has been pretty damn honourable towards this club. If he wants to move on after 6 years of loyal service, then so be it. Courtois is a different kettle of fish. That guy is a parasite.

  8. He says the deal could be reached quickly for 160m. I think they're offering 160 for both. It never says we reached a deal. Anyway.... I think Fabrizio Romano should be our go to guy from now on.

  13. My two cents are this: I think the club assured him of coming back next year and being in the team, Fabregas contract is up and Mount would be his replacement as an impact sub pushing for more time. He will be cheaper salary wise than Cesc and arguably more effective on the pitch. He wont stagnate at Derby, Lampard & Morris will make sure he is playing lots and also in the positions Chelsea want to see him at, while also playing in a league with extremely physical players in it. I could be extremely wrong, but it makes sense in my head.

  14. Imagine transfer window of Jorginho, Golovin, Bailey, Rugani, Allison, Higuain and keeping Hazard here. Woow just woow

  15. No point comparing him to Mbappe or Hazard or anybody. Somebody said Robben and that is more alike. Also Mbappe isn't good in close spaces? Seriously watch football guys. Would be a good move I think. 40-45M is a decent fee for a player who could give us 10 years of games.

  16. Hell no! Watch some of his highlights. He's a sensational dribbler, has excellent close control, and glides past players with ease. Honestly, he reminds me of Mbappe in terms of playing style.

  18. Comments like this baffle me. I wonder how Martinez would have reacted when he was at Everton and an international manager starting touting one of his best players saying they should move to another club. What a prick.

  19. Funny thing we had the perfect Lampard replacement in KDB.. Eden enough mentioned he respects Chelsea’s decision, if he can’t leave (under 225m) so be it. Don’t think Eden is the kind of guy who will push for a leave..

  23. CLASS!! CONTE RELEASES STATEMENT Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has released a statement through the League Managers Association after being dismissed by the club last week. He said: “I would like to thank all of my friends at Chelsea Football Club for their hard work and support over the past two seasons which enabled us to win the Premier League and FA Cup together. “To the players, whose talent and commitment was so important to our successes, I thank them for everything. It has been a pleasure working with them every day. To

  24. Translation: ️ confirmed: #Chelsea He will meet with Thierry Hazard, father of Eden, this week to offer the renewal of the contract to his son. It would go from 11.7 m € to earn 17.7 m € a year plus a contract for 5 years.

  27. I thought he was great. Bought the hype. Not so sure anymore. He looks to be treading water when he runs? Or is that just me. People say he is a speed demon but I think he's in the bracket below. Not in the same league as Dembele or Sane in terms of pace. Maybe Eden's kind of speed. His dribbling doesn't look as clean as Malcolm's for example. His dribbling style almost reminds me of Suarez or Tevez. Gritty and awkward. Anyway, my 2 cents without every seeing a game live and only ever highlights on YouTube.

  30. When I said he reminds me of Mbappe I mean in terms of his insane pace and technique on the ball. Watch him on YouTube and what will immedietly jump out to you is his ability to beautify dribble the ball while sprinting at full speed. You'll also see the ease with which he can beat not just one, but multiple defenders with his skill. I think he'd be devastating opposite Hazard in the PL. I'd be very worried if any of our rivals got him. United and Spuds for example are crying out for a player on their right sides. I truly hope he's on our radar and is a priority if Willian is sold.

  31. I was having a chat with a Juve friend of mine, i was telling him about Fulham getting Seri and West Ham getting Felipe Anderson. The bottom half of the prem spend more to strengthen than 90% of teams in other leagues. It is insane across the board.

  32. Even though there are the links, it is still hard to imagine we would sign 6 players for the starting eleven. 6 new players bought for the starting team. It is desperately needed, it really is, just very difficult to believe it. I keep hoping.

  34. Best for all parties if he goes. Not good enough for the top level but good enough to go to a decent midtable side. He can do what Johnny Evans did where he leaves a big club and establishes himself as a solid piece for a lesser club. Azpi as new captain.

  35. I'm not arguing with you, Lampard was unique and irreplaceable directly, and I feel Hazard is the same. What I'm saying is that the club will adapt to losing players and if they can't directly replace them, they'll find a way to indirectly replace them. If that means changing the formation, style of play, etc. I would rather keep Hazard without question, but changing to a more offensive style would hopefully help alleviate some of the loss of Hazard by not having to rely on someone to pull off something magic when we're playing so defensively. For example having purchased Jorginho w

  36. Fabregas replaced Lampard. Not directly, we were never going to replace his goalscoring prowess but we went down a different route by bringing in someone more creative to play in that midfield role and then trusting in the players further forward to make up for the loss of Lampard's goals. We've won plenty of trophies since Lampard left. It's the same thing with Hazard. We probably will not be able to directly replace him with but altering our style of play and getting perhaps a different type of wide player but that will suit Sarri's system may be able to adequately replace him and keep

  37. In that interview it is clearly said that his preferred destination is Real Madrid (or PSG as a plot twist). So with that has set in his mind, I would imagine he won't sign the extension no matter how hard we convince him as it might be (much) lower than those two clubs will offer anyway. He made it clear that he (and his father) has preferred them over us. With that double factor, think we should let him go. If not this summer, next summer. Life must go on. Spend the money to buy 3-4 top players.

  38. Madrid fans in the comments calling for Florentino's resignation over this LOL. 4 CLs in 5 years... That spoilt fanbase's sense of entitlement is SO annoying.

  39. I really dont know who thought closing the window earlier would be a good idea...we have just few weeks to buy players, but probably we will live with Real Madrid/Hazard rumors until the end of next month, because now the PL teams can't buy players after August 9, but they can lose anyone as long as other teams outside England can get new players.

  42. Kante is the player who should be top earner. A model professional who nev speaks bs in the press and always gives his all on the pitch. Him arbing most would drive greedy players to display the same commitment. And we should do it now not wait until Paris comes knocking bc so he feels how much we appreciate him.

  48. We keep him on loan until he has an off season and then claim he's not good enough. These constant loans really only do good for development for one or two seasons, but beyond that it is pointless. While Mount performing so well and confidence is high, it's best time to bring him back to the squad imo. If we must loan him, then loan him to a team in one of the top leagues such as La Liga or Serie A, or to a club here in England. We have seen proof of what happens when you keep a player on loan for too long with the likes of Chalobah, Baker, Musonda, McCreacran etc, they stagnate and eventuall
