  1. Fucking hell I swear some of you need to get a fucking grip and stop moaning like fucking bitches all day long. Club has signed a quality backup GK already and three other deals look to be wrapped up and ready to be announced anytime soon - Lukaku, Bakayoko, Rudiger - while pushing hard every day for probably worlds 2nd best left back only after Madrid's Marcelo - Alex Sandro. Bakayoko and Rudiger are worst kept secrets in football and if Everton going bonkers as we speak spending 100m on transfers already is not an indication that Lukaku's gone then I don't know what it is. And if

  2. Serie A is not weaker than the Premier League, at all. Maybe it was 3 seasons or so ago. La Liga, Serie A, Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1. There's no nuance to the game here anymore; if you can score against Italian defences you'll rip English ones to shreds. And this is before the top teams in Italy have their own stadiums. This is before they get the obscene TV money the English teams get. The Premier League's almost dead, and it's being replaced by a lookalike zombie. Shining here means nothing, now. It's no coincidence the likes of Aguero & Suarez dominated over here, yet o

  3. Compare the long term vision - De Bruyne, Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Sane; Some of the best players in Europe for the next 10 years. Firepower on top of firepower. Who do Chelsea have secured, set to be among the best players in Europe for the next 10 years? Maybe Christensen, who doesn't look like being integrated, unlike City's talent. No foresight. No impressive plans. While they're targeting players to improve their XI in the long run and short term, we target players to bloat our bench for the short term, and target players who're no better than ones we already have for t

  4. Admittedly, it is a bit concerning that we aren't even linked with a single attacking player other than Lukaku. Without Diego our attacking talent on hand looks pretty iffy compared to City, Arsenal (with Lacazette and Sanchez if he stays) and maybe even Liverpool due to Klopp's tactics. At the same time, you look at Spuds and they only really have one big source of goals and that didn't stop them from challenging. But when you look at City and they have Silva, Silva, KDB, Sané, Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, and may even bring in more attacking players and you compare it to us who have just H

  6. Apart from 2015-16, we have penny pinched very well. 32mon Costa, Hazard, Luiz, Kante, Fabregas in the last few years. Hardly Spurs esque. Maybe 2 years ago when we were signing Willian, Schurrle, I would compare Chelsea to Spurs but we have our sights far bigger now. Alex Sandro, one of the best LB in the world, Lukaku, flat-track bully in the Premier League and one of Monaco's promising youngsters while Tottenham are looking to re-sign Gylfi Sigurdsson. Man City have far more squad positions to fill and a remote possibility of a transfer ban later in the month. Even then, the keep

  7. Does not necessarily have to be made official to confirm the obvious. There is plenty of solid sources for me to believe 100% that Rudiger, Bakayoko and Lukaku are already Chelsea players. And Alex Sandro to some extent although it'll take time but I'm sure he'll end up as a Chelsea player in the end. It's just that some clubs need to secure their replacements before letting players go. And I truly believe that these 5 players are not the only ones we're looking at and we're going to be linked with at least one or two more players in the coming weeks (centre back and maybe another attacker).

  9. Bakayoko and Rudiger are as good as done, Technically the market has only been open for 4 days. Transfer deals take a long time to come together especially in a market where teams are trying to run up ridiculous prices. You've gotta have patience my friend. If we have no deals done by August then I might join you in being upset/worrying but until then we have to see what we can do. Conte loves Bakayoko and was after Rudiger last year, we have addressed our backup GK position and brought in some crazy talented youths for the future to either play or sell for a profit. Contrary to popular belief

  10. Lacazette to Arsenal good as done. I really do not expect Chelsea to sign marquee players like Sandro or even sign Van Dijk. After the 15/16 and last years summer, I have drastically lowered my expectations and looking at some gloryhunting tools melting on Twitter like carefreedaily, that might have been a good thing to do.

  11. Last time we won the league, the board decided we needed no major moves. This time after winning the league, the board seemingly decide we need no major moves. Might just be the worst board in the Premier League when it comes to recruitment policies. Man City do what we used to, and are supposed to still do. Now our transfers are like Tottenham's before they became more than a mid-table club.

  12. It's not yet time to panic, it's still the first week of July. But I'll be furious if we have no major players 2 weeks into pre-season, because we need the new signings from other leagues to be ready with Conte immediately due to hazards injury.

  14. Maybe it wasn't the English game, maybe it was Chelsea the reason he didn't realize his potential. Coutinho flopped at Inter, and became a star at Liverpool. Was it the league or he was a bad fit at Inter? Kevin De Bruyne had similar results at Chelsea, but came back to the PL and is one of the best in the league. Also you look at Cuardado who failed at Chelsea, but when he was at Juventus he put in really good performances in the CL against Man City. He would never put in that type of performance for Chelsea even with similar opposition. So i particularly don't like that logi

  16. Really agree with that bit about Costa, which is why i'm still hoping for club, player and manager to eventually sort out all their differences in the summer. It will be forever before we can find another striker to fit that bill.

  17. In what world was Eto'o, Ba and Torres (Schürrle was not a striker for Chelsea anymore than someone like Pedro is right now so I'm not including him) better than Lukaku and Batshuayi? Hilarious that anyone would even suggest something like that, Lukaku alone will easily score more than all those put together and would expect Batshuayi to chip in with at least +15 in all competitions too, given he'll get more games than last season. Hell, the man scored 9 goals in 703 minutes this past season with practically zero consistent playing time so I have no doubt he'll continue being efficient i

  21. Signing the #1 prospect when it comes to wingers tends to justify a break. I don't think Man City's board has their value determined by how quickly they tie up their signings, anyway. When ever has getting the job done 'fastest' been synonymous with 'best' or 'great quality'?

  27. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day, I just remember this beautiful athlete exists, and even plays for us. On an unrelated note, for all the 'he could score more' comments which've also come from myself, it's surprising to see (according to Wiki) the stats saying he generally averages a goal every 3 games. For a striker, that's promising, if not only slightly above average, but for a winger, who else scores that much? I can think of Robben so far.* Add Reus, Bale & Ronaldo. Not bad company. I don't think we'll ever have nor ever have had such prolific wingers in the game.

  33. Agree with your conclusions, tough, are there any equally profilic, but cheaper strikers on the market at the moment? Maybe I lack imagination, but in my opinion, the perfect fit to our system would be L.Suarez/R.Lewandowski type of strikers ,but that's just dreamland. That leaves us with worse alternatives and a heavy pricetag that comes with the Chelsea tag. Would be logical to assume that the transfer is done and Lukaku is returning to the Bridge given how active Everton have been on the transfer market. Only reason I see delaying the announcement is not to bump the prices up of our other ta

  34. Pogba will end up being worth the price in relitive terms, he's certainly one of the best midfielder's around and when the obsession over his price tag stops he will be reconised as such. Lukaku im truly not convinced ever will be, his goals no doubt he will score, but aside from that i can't see how he fits in. Costa fit's us outside his goals because he's tenacious, presses well and is incredibility smart tactically with his off the ball movement. Even when he has his games were he can barely control the ball properly he gives us that. Lukaku falls short on those tactical level's compar

  39. You might be right saying I focus to much on my hate against the board (warranted or not) to say anything else. I feel like a lot of the things that pull us behind is mainly because of how they do business. We've lost some deals because we didn't want to overpay. It's good to have a nice balance and just search attainable targets when the prices are to much but sometimes I feel we would be at the same point with the money if we overpaid for those 2-3 players but better as a team. I'll try to tone down a bit my hate towards them. I really do hope Bakayoko and Lukaku are done deals (

I will be more than happy if Conte left because he was not going to get close to what he wants for a second time running. I like his club form(4 league titles in last 4yrs) and I don't want it to be damaged by us. I am not saying he will win all trophies until he retires but i just want to wish him the best liike i and most chelsea faithfuls did when Mourihno left the first time. We've said the same thing last year and panic bought our last 2 defenders in the last day. Likely means the same this year or at least miss the tour. I don't know that person but I'm not moaning for the sake of it but for the vibes our board been giving in the last few years. You realize I'm not the only one sharing this opinion right? 45. What you said doesn't make much sense for one simple reason: I pointed Real and Barcelona not to say their model is the "key to success", but to point that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS KEY TO SUCCESS. Since the 1st day I joined this forum I've been reading the same thing over and over. Its a very simplistic way to look at football. Back in the day the word used was stability. It was something like this: *Key to success is stability. *In order to achieve stability you can't fire managers, even if the results are bad. When you let manager work and let him build the squad he wants to
