  5. Nainggolan was our first target unless we wanted both. And yes that turned out great but it won't always be the case. We've said the same thing last year and panic bought our last 2 defenders in the last day. Likely means the same this year or at least miss the tour. I don't know that person but I'm not moaning for the sake of it but for the vibes our board been giving in the last few years. You realize I'm not the only one sharing this opinion right? I'm free to share my thoughts even if they are meaningless rants, I'm not attacking anyone, like some of you get annoyed with p

  6. We have been linked with everyone this summer but it seems once again we cannot close the deals. Every time we win the league, we don't buy players and next season we are in big big trouble. I won't be surprised if it happens again and Conte is sacked or he leaves. Really wanted to see most of new signing starting pre season together but it looks like only huge signing Willy will be with us. Well done Chelsea board again.

  11. They have money now in the form of Farhad Moshiri-net worth of £2.2 billion. So they have no reason to sell Lukaku for any less than what they're asking for.

  12. He was insane last season. Extremely fast, good dribbler, cold finisher, has all the tools to be world class. We would be fools not to go for him(maybe next season)

  15. You might be right saying I focus to much on my hate against the board (warranted or not) to say anything else. I feel like a lot of the things that pull us behind is mainly because of how they do business. We've lost some deals because we didn't want to overpay. It's good to have a nice balance and just search attainable targets when the prices are to much but sometimes I feel we would be at the same point with the money if we overpaid for those 2-3 players but better as a team. I'll try to tone down a bit my hate towards them. I really do hope Bakayoko and Lukaku are done deals (

  16. Lawman said: ↑ Chelsea came in 1st when Utd, City and Liverpool were all about to fire their shit managers. This season all managers are settled and chomping at the bit. No more free runs like Chelsea and Leicester got just been reading this on man utds forum made me lol so thought I'd share this with u basically we had a easy season last year because every one sacked there manger what the dumb dick has forgotten us so did we not like contes been here years... I hate man utd fans so much

  17. That's very disappointing in all fairness. More of a business than anything else in that regard. Only player we've bought young and has become a starter (in recent times) is Thibo.

  19. I guess you could say that, but it seems like most players that are bought/come out of the academy just aren't good enough to be thrown in. Musonda's time in Spain wasn't exactly a massive success for a few reasons, so what were the chances Conte would use him. My thoughts exactly with the few exceptions being hyped up for no real reason. The loan set up right now seems to auditions for other clubs rather than Conte (and managers gone).

  22. I would take Robben only. Casillas wouldn't want to be backup, Ibrahimovic is old and injured, Pepe is a cunt.

  27. Only a loony doesn't target Robben, especially a club he loved, on a FREE. Him going to Turkey is criminal if it goes through. He'd still remain the difference in semi's & finals of the CL. He is still one of the world's top 10 or so wingers. For free. Just, free. Nothing. No compensation. Free. For that guy. A freak of nature. One of the best wingers we'll ever see. Still not far from his peak; his downfall is so gradual, especially compared to Ribery. Sad times. The club's so addicted to employing a new consistent policy that it won't shake things up for our benefit; more inte

  28. You say that with a lot of confidence; from now on this question is asked - how many games have you seen? Same as Alonso? Alonso's a great crosser, with a great header, who leaves a lot of space behind him when going forward. Telles is an average crosser as far as wing backs are concerned, making that up with better awareness than the average wing back. He can't header to save his life, but he's a guy you want taking set pieces. He defends better than 3 of the top 5 so-called best full backs in Europe; if you get past him, he catches up (find me a faster full back); but players rarely g

  29. Keeper's are the weak point's in our academy, having them in even as 3rd choice is suicide.

  31. To everyone who was creaming their pants about July 1st being a day of massive transfer deals how do you feel after the capture of a reserve keeper and a 16 year old kid?. Does it feel like Santa Claus has left you some disappointing presents?. I did say earlier to be cautious about potential buys they will come but you can't expect massive deals to be announced three weeks in advance it's not credible or practical. We live in an era of fake news any twat with a Twitter account can start a transfer rumour.

  33. Pedro/Willian is NOT strong enough imo. Agree that a backup ST will most likely be bought, but not sure with the Llorente injury who that would be.. Is a RF is not bought, this team will struggle mightily to score goals. A World Class RF has to be a priority imo.

Big exaggeration but that 'proper chels' feeling of player is leaving this club. JT the only one carrying the badge from the academy with many hopefuls showing potential and being shunned and now leaving/being sold. Such a shame we can have the golden generation of our academy and no-one makes it through to the first team. i fear being a team with no character or loyalty. Someone give Todd Kane the capt

  36. I think its the club in all honesty. Like Luiz. Its an interesting move yes, he has got a lot of goals in the PL but his overall game still makes me wonder, is he going to be able to provide what Costa does? Because lets be honest Costa has gotten a lot of flack at times here but he isn't just a predator in the box he is an aggressive player off the ball, can play with his back to goal, runs the channels, wins a lot of fouls/balls out of nothing, can link well with Hazard/Pedro/Willian were as perhaps Lukaku doesn't have all of that, I think I seen somebody on sky sports say is Lukaku going to

  37. Having good backup and using the right rotation system, will be the key to have a good run in PL as well as in CL. We won't sign six players all to replace our starters, obviously. Think there will be 2 backup player signing, outside GK position.

  38. How do you reckon that squad would hold up to a full domestic and european season with only 3 signings? And I'm not talking about only the starting XI. I for one am glad that Conte is (reportedly) pushing the board towards action, far too many times in the past they been slacking off and not prioritizing improving the team, this time they have no choice unless they want to risk losing Conte. Imagine the backlash if that happened.. I bet they don't want to imagine it either.

  40. the problem is not pre-season and how many miles and matches we do. The problem is post season and then deciding how much R & R the players need which is where the medical staff got it wrong last year as we were so 'under cooked' compared to other teams who had returned to training 3 weeks before us. Bar last season, we normally hit the ground running into a new season which suggests the medical staff usually get it right irrespective of where we have been pre season. This could be one of the reasons why Mourinho and the main first team doctor at the time had angst towards e

  41. Ideally, our strikeforce going into the next season should be Costa, Lukaku and Eto'o but that is looking pretty unlikely atm. I agree that we could do we a pure technician up front to add diversity to what we have but a proven one at that would probably be hard to find for us. IMO an interesting project would be Origi, whom really impressed me in the WC with how comfortable he was on the ball and his technical skills. He wouldn't be too expensive either - but it does seem like he's off to Liverpool.
