Typical bs overreaction after a loss. Why everyone blames "the players not playing for the manager" after every single football failure? I guess its easier to label it like that instead of trying to understand the actual tactics and football reasons to why something isnt working...3 points

Turned off as soon as the Portuguese fairy scored. Hope Monaco stick it up Juve tonight but it's going to be tough.2 points

I like Monaco, but I doubt they have what it takes to stop Real Madrid. They are a young and inexperienced, but zealous team with no real ability to defend, while Real are playing some extraterrestrial stuff at times. Juventus would be a better match to them in the final, of that I am pretty sure. And in order to stop Real from winning it again, I'd rather Juventus made it through and went all the way.2 points

I didn't get to watch the match. I don't think Monaco would have a chance against Real, especially if Ronaldo is playing like this. I don't know if Juventus would either but it's at least a better chance.2 points

On the phonetics first since that is not a question of opinion. I doubt I'm the only person who spotted the incorrect spelling but perhaps I am the only one who is interested enough to comment on it and to risk being thought patronising, or just plain rude. The pronunciation of the two words is different and this dictates their spelling. These words have entirely different meanings and, when annunciated correctly, are audibly different. That difference allows the two to be distinguished in speech, and, together with context, allows the correct meaning to be received by a listener. To claim tha2 points

Atletico was crap yesterday, but Real is playing brilliant in Champions league. They have complete team, creative, prime years, top fullbacks, good Gk, great defense, midfield and attack. Goals everywhere. I think only Juve can stop them because they are great in CL this year too. If they dont win la liga this year, they wont win it in 10 years. They have all the ref help and barca is in worse state in ages.1 point

just as i expected, Monaco couldnt break this Juventus side, reaching the semis was a big bonus, its as far as they will get, of course there is still the 2nd leg, but Juventus are on a mission, they have one foot in the final, deserved winners today, Monaco has a bright future ahead of them, they have to focus on the league now, i really hope Juventus wins the cup, i cant stand Real Madrid and their arrogance. Real Madrid are a great side though, they are likely to repeat as CL winner. And that would be the first time that has every happened. The quality of the opponent should not be forgotten. Atletico are a good side, not the best under Simeone but i seriously doubt we would beat this team. Alti are not the same pressing team they were in the past, they have actually changed a bit they are much more attacking then previously. The emphasis on pressing is not the same, and that might be due to personals and the fact it is just extremely hard to play the way they have done years after years. Si1 point

True. We have enough strength, steel, and industry in our midfield with Kante and Matic. We need essentially a prime Fabregas or Kroos type this summer who can break down teams and control the tempo.1 point

Sounds great, yeah. Hard to find. Even harder to sign.1 point

There are problems like juanfran not being available and koke playing in wide position....This atletico team is clearly inferior to its previous sides which were playing same tactics and those teams defeated Real madrid..so i doubt tactics are the problem...Yesterday while watching the match some players were clearly not up to the intensity of previous atletico sides I agree that their midfield was dominated by real1 point

yeah, those atletico players couldnt be arsed with a champions league final1 point

Le Tissier was a talented player no doubt but to compare him to Zidane is like comparing Banksy to Rembrandt. Le Tissier was happy to be a big fish in a little pond none of the big teams put in any serious bids for him because he'd would never shown the consistency needed at the very top. Chelsea were interested in him but it would have been a sideways move for him as we were mid table fodder at the time. He also admitted to betting on the first throw in a game where he would deliberately kick the ball out from the kick off the cheating big nosed tosspot.1 point

I'm not French And I disagree with everything. Don't feel the need to explain why. On the other hand, are you Serbian? Because only a Serbian can rate him higher than Zidane.1 point

Simeone has taken Atleti as far as he can. Guess he'll be off to Italy next.1 point

Simeone brought on his 2 worst players as a double-sub. It was depressing.1 point

Mourinho and Simeone are pretty much two sides of the same coin.1 point

Belloti's the one I'd like for sure. If that can't happen I'd be happy with Morata. Mbappe seems impossible and I've no interest in Lukaku.1 point

Only Cristiano can go into the quarterfinals with a record of 2 goals in 8 games and end up having a laugh by hitting 10 in 11. 5 goals in the quarters against Bayern and 3 goals in the semis against Atletico. Mind-boggling stuff from one of the true greats.1 point

Chelsea turned down the opportunity to sign Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe as a 14-year-old in favour of developing academy prospects Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham, according to adrian Kajumba of the Mirror reported. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-kylian-mbappe-monaco-transfer-103404421 point

Play Cesc instead of Matic. Simples. Especially if you know that the opposition is going to sit back and defend deep.1 point

Absolute class act going into the dressing room after the Youth Cup win. I adore this guy, I adore him because he is humble and a real peoples person. To do what he has done and clean up Mourinho's mess of last season is just spectacular in itself. He's made players like Moses and Alonso into very very good players and adapted them into the system and culture with absolute ease. Give this guy what he wants in the summer, back him and watch us go.1 point

He's a total Jeckel and Hyde player. Can look brilliant one week and completely awful the next. I think his biggest weakness has always been his awareness. He's so clueless at times when he's on the ball. He dwells on it far too long and always lets an opponent sneak up from behind and take the ball. He also play so many stupid, blind passes that give away possession. May sound harsh because he's been solid for us, but upgrade needed in the summer if we are going to take that next step as a team.1 point
