Try again. He'll be back next season. I'm optimistic he'll shut up all you clowns in this thread that called him 'rat' and 'traitor' and were so quick to turn your backs on him that you'd rather he was sold in the summer than give him another season to bounce back. And wait, I'm the 'delusional' one for praising Hazard and doubling down that he will return to the top next season? One bad campaign erases all the brilliance he has displayed 5 seasons prior going back to his Lille days?? I even stated he has had a horrendous season, (it happens) or did you not read that? The fools who slept on him are going to regret it, I tell you. Watch next season. (Assuming he is at us)8 points

If ONE player's shit season, even if it's your best player, is one of the main reasons we will barely finish in the top half of the table then this club is a joke. This clusterfuck of a season has much bigger problems than one player's off-season. I'm baffled there's people who seriously still believe this.7 points

So he played 1 good game again and he is back to his best again? Some people must be kidding.4 points

Storm in a teacup this. There is no way we will be looking to sell him this summer and it would be beyond cuntish from him to push for a move after what the club has done for him. Petr has made mistakes for Arsenal this season, but he is still undoubtedly and objectively better than Thibaut. Not sure anyone can argue otherwise. We didn't choose Thibaut over Petr based on skill, we chose based on a ten-year age difference and a hope that Thibuat will become better than Petr in the near future.4 points

Like Hazard, if we even contemplate letting Matic leave, it is a mistake. I think both will be crucial players next season.3 points

Whats weird is that people simply dont learn. Now I read that cesc can play the pirlo role, that Cesc is a must for next season, Hazard will be the PFA player of the year blah blah blah. People must have really short memories because we just got raped at the bridge, in front of my own eyes. But since we won against Bournemouth, everything is hunky-dory. Unbelievable.3 points

Got back in my good books today and not because he scored... "The fans, us, everyone at Chelsea don't want Tottenham to win the league..." - Eden Hazard2 points

Hey I'm serious if these guys have an amazing game against Spurs to stop them from winning the title then I will forgive this crappy season. Its like two years ago, we won crap but dented Liverpool hope. ?2 points

Yes Hazard has had a terrible season, but you're acting like Hazard on top form would have made a difference. Many different individuals have been benched after bad performances this season or not been playing due to injury(Ivanovic) but the results have always remained the same. We could have had Messi and it wouldn't have made a big difference. This goes to show that we lacked qualiy as a team much more than quality in individuals. -- I hope Eden plays every game till the end of the season to raise his confidence going into next season. It wouldn't be good for his confidence if we2 points

His passing today has absolutely nothing to do with the opposition, it's pure ability. He has numerous deficiencies such as lack of pace and positional awareness that can be costly against the 'bigger' teams, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is the best passer on the league.2 points

Imagine if Atletico win both la liga and the cl, now that would be fantastic. Hope they manage somehow.2 points

No one says he can't against the like of Bournemouth, Sunderland, Newcastle and so on. He's perfectly capable of that.2 points

The amount of delusion and complete butthurtness here is amazing not only in this thread but all of them. You made your judgement based on one game? Top LOL2 points

Should be starting but isn't, it's a very sad state of affairs at Chelsea FC right now, very sad.2 points

He has done decent. This is an 18 year old we are talking about who is still eligible to play in the FA Youth cup. 7 goals, not bad and considering he was not able to make his debut with Vitesse for the first few weeks or so due to certain loan complications and has been injured in different spells, I would say he has done well.for an 18 year old who speaks no Dutch and is settling into his first real taste of professional football. It is Brown, who has been underwhelming if anything at Vitesse who is a year older than Solanke.2 points

No kidding. If he spends half the energy on the field that he does on talk shows and social networking sites (tweeters and insta somethings), he would be a world beater.2 points

Zidane is not using Kovacic much. We need two great dribblers in the team. That's what the most successful teams are doing. A fit Hazard and Kovacic would create a lot of problems for defenders.2 points

Ah Suarez.... I remember advocating on this forum for us to get him from Liverpool by any means necessary but got ridiculed because he was a Scouser...... The way he lifted up average Liverpool players to almost win the title, and lifted a Barcelona that lost the league to athletico to treble winners just proves world-class is world-class, no beating around the bush.1 point

He had a great game today. Yes, opposition is weak, so grain of salt required. Did his thing in midfield *and* added up front with through balls and an actual assist. There is nothing telling CMs to not get involved in the game - they should go where they are needed and contribute, as matic did.1 point

Man U 1-0..wouldnt surprise me if they won it..guess makes a nice change from Arsenal but still1 point

Then the board are indeed a bunch of fools. They want youth but get managers that suck for this.1 point

again looked pretty good, just got 83 minutes less than he deserved. he must start vs spurs, a slow immobile midfield, will see us destroyed by 3 or 4.1 point

Actually cant believe what I am reading. Atleast most of the 42,000 SB going fans thought he was very good on the day and definitely has the potential of being a part in our next season. Compared to rest of the team, RLC was on a different level.1 point

Goal.com isn't really a reliable newsoutlet. They have a tendency of rewording things and leaving things out for more sensationalistic articles. They also frequently, "accidentally", mistranslate things. http://www.espnfc.com/chelsea/story/2851213/eden-hazard-must-play-like-a-kid-to-recover-form-hiddink This is the same article from ESPNFC but the wording is a bit different and here it seems Hiddink is actually defending Hazard from such accuations... "Hazard has also faced accusations of a lack of commitment due to his body language on the pitch this season, but Hiddink believe1 point

Keeping Hazard this summer will feel like a new signing to me. I am 99% sure his next season won't be anywhere near as bad.1 point

Conte was screaming for quality wingers while at Juventus and the fact that the board didn't satisfy his needs was one of the reasons he resigned. Now at Chelsea he's got two top wingers in Hazard and Willian, plus Cuadrado (one of his favourites) who's coming back from his loan and Pedro who is a decent player that can still do the job if motivation is there. There's plenty of depth in that area and I don't think Conte will be looking to make amends there. We know he's a demanding coach with a pretty big character so surely he'll be looking for instant success in England, while keeping his st1 point

Of course he will. He's still one of their most talented players, in any normal case him going away with the international team would be good for him, but in a time of injury.. Listen I get why people are mad at Hazard for not performing this season, it's justified. But to suggest the talent isn't there and that he's already finished is a fallacy, one we shouldn't entertain.1 point
