  1. There is something called "Inserting Confidence" into the young guns ... De Bruyne could have easily ended up at Dortmand in the summer but stayed because Jose promised him a fair trail ... And as far as I re-collect he did stay put at Chelsea for half a season awaiting for an opportunity ... When nothing comes your way, what are u going do ... just sit there and waste your talent. He was never getting a start under Jose for sure. Lukaku for me is the smart one ... He believed in Jose for 2 months but as soon as E'to came in, he took off. Should these guys stayed back and fought fo

  2. In Australia (I imagine NZ is very similar) taxes pay for medicare, pension, welfare, infrastructure support (roads, bridges) student loans, disability support, residential aged care, university funding, policing, superannuation, public education, and a host of other things. If someone that earns $50,000,000 p/a is taxed at %50 do you really believe you are lowering their quality of life? I don't believe so and with that money (in a government free of corruption) it would actually enhance the lives of many more people. Do you honestly believe you could afford medical expenses without governmen

  4. Chelsea did not deserve to get past Paris, ok, but still, they are a bunch of arrogant twats. The way they've celebrated this tie against City is ludicrous. What about now you fucking inbred cunts, self proclaimed superpower that has never gotten past the quarter finals? City will definitely score at the Etihad and I would love to see them going through. As for the semis - they are decent, but harmless, not good enough to make it all the way. Not only Barcelona and Bayern, but Atletico would do them as well.

  5. I know you can't really compare to the Serie A, but I think the key to the success of playing 3 at the back is you have to have the suitable wingbacks who know the role tactically by heart and who can both attack and defend well. Another interesting tactical option with 3 at the back is what Allegri has done at Juve most of the times he's played 3-5-2, and that is to have someone at right wingback who is very comfortable playing in defense (Leischteiner) so the team can actually transition to a 4-4-2 in defense. Works the other way around with 4-4-2 in attack by having a left winger

  6. What's with all this 'he better get the players he wants talk and full control' talk btw. If he didn't agree with anything that comes with the job, he wouldn't have signed the contract. Whatever happens this summer (and in the future), he agreed with it. Giving a manager full control is silly btw. It's something you earn, not something that's handed to you. Giving full control to a Chelsea manager is even more ludicrous. They don't last long.

  7. Don't really think there's anything he could do that would get him sacked within his first 6 months to 1 year unless he has us in the bottom 3. There's no chance of that happening. Like I predicted yesterday, he'll get 2 summer transfer windows to shape his team.

  8. Glad we got rid of this clown, and for an obscene amount too Should be nowhere near a proper defence.

  9. Wake the f*** up! Mourinho didn't sell him! Maybe he didn't see KDB as a starter, but it was De bruyne who couldn't live with fighting for the spot… So he wanted away! Mourinho said that they must not sell him, but that they could send him on loan! http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/premier-league/2015-2016/jose-mourinho-begged-chelsea-not-to-sell-de-bruyne_sto4961797/story.shtml Its the same story with Lukaku! But i understand its must be hard for the club when we get massive bids for young players that aint starters… Should they loan they out or sell.(maybe the players don't wa

  10. Boredom struck me and whenever that happens I sometimes start fantasising about a wonderful summer window. If a clear-out were to occur, I'd like to see this. Out: Djilobodji, Cahill, Baba Mikel, Matic, Van Ginkel, Oscar Cuadrado, Salah, Moses, Pedro, Remy Pato and Falcao kindly return to their respective clubs and let Amelia's contract run out. Chelsea are better off with better and/or cheaper options. Djilo, Van Ginkel, and Moses have no role to play at Chelsea. The other players are dispensable and should be replaced with better options. There's been talk

  11. Obviously we don't yet know what Conte has in mind for next season, and frankly I think it very unlikely, but if we were to actually play with 3 at the back, then Kenedy would be perfect for the wing-back role and it would certainly make the debate about whether he is a left back or left winger irrelevant.

  12. Cameron refused to confirm whether he has any money still invested in offshore tax havens, but said he did some ‘silly things at university’ which he would now be happy to discuss to the exclusion of all other subjects. A Downing Street spokesman said: “The fact his father was a tax-dodger, his whole upbringing was paid for by tax-dodging, his sense of right and wrong was taught to him by a tax dodger and his refusal to confirm his current tax dodging status has no bearing on his ability to deal with tax dodging. “Anyway, what about that pig, eh?”

  13. I've said it before, I have no issues whatsoever with him leaving. On the contrary I think it would spell a positive change for the club.

  14. I absolutely love Cavani, should of done everything we can years ago to get him here. His movement is still world class and I would have him pronto.

  15. Not sure if its been said here yet but according to France Football, his agent Jorge Mendes offered him to PSG. If Diego is indeed thinking about leaving, I think selling him to PSG and using him to land Cavani would be the best option for us. I'm sure Costa would rather return to Atleti but it's not always up to the players to choose their destination.

  16. Dayum, I wish it was possible. He would wipe the floor with modern pop "artists" (nowadays "artist" is an inaccurate name. It implies that the person creates art, but all they do is sell their voices to be autotuned to somebody else's lyrics and melody, and female "artists" sell their asses to gain popularity. Michael was a true artist in its purest sense). Yep, big MJ fan here PS Maybe a separate topic should be created for this discussion? It's fascinating, but not really politics anymore.
