  1. It’s actually worse than I thought.. Drogba wrote ‘Blue Till I die’ on the dressing room white board and left the country, Ashley Cole rejected Liverpool and left the country. Frank Lampard, the man who was Chelsea personified.. and embraced it!, has taken us for fools. He found a way to ‘save face’ with a pseudo-contract to pull the wool over our eyes, it was a PR move.. not for Chelsea fans but to keep his ‘clean’ ‘professional’ image intact; to not be the guy who moved directly to our only title rivals.

  2. I don't want to fucking read another word here for a couple of months about what this guy needs to do and how he needs to get better. People said he needs to be more direct, he's bloody unplayable and no defender can live with him. People said he doesn't shoot often, he's shooting fucking alright I'd say. Then you wanted him to score away from home ... yeah, you know the score. He's ran his bollocks off today; I think I've lost mine whacking it to him.

  3. Staying with City till the end of the season is not surprising (frankly, you have to be pretty naive or in deep denial not to see that he wanted to from the start). What is surprising, is that he never even signed for NYFC. That is incredibly unethical for someone who is supposedly known for his professionalism. Technically, he does not owe us anything because he is no longer a Chelsea player. Of course he could take the route that many club legends take of moving to a different country, or ar least not to direct rival (or at the very very least not lie so blatantly and put on a huge play abou

  4. I am desperate for us to sign Reus so we have another player of similar quality who can really help Hazard. The extent of inferiority of some of our attacking players compared to him is amazing. Hazard and Reus, I just dream to see that combo. Please!

  5. I did try to defend the loan, which I thought was only a loan, from the very beginning but now I have to admit I was just blind by the love and affection for him. Sorry but this is a knife in the back of the NY fans and now he is getting winners for City and celebrating, I just can't stand watching him now. I will not call him names but I am hoping big time we will win the league so we can have a laught at him. Also my apologies to TX, Niclas and Amels. I was not thinking of you high before but now I fully understand you.

  7. I think today downfall had a lot to do with Matic not being his usual. A sub-par Matic exposed our weak link in the defense. Thus I'm glad this happen now in the January transfer window so to see if we can buy anything.

  8. Haha I knew it, I knew it. It was all a lie. I have to say, a proper con job. Love really does blind. All the weak excuses I read.. Frank's a mean, cold calculating man. Appreciate what he did in his time at Chelsea, but I stopped caring when he signed for City. Couldn't even own up to it and had to create this whole farce. If he just said that life goes on and he has to think about his own career, I could've respected him at least. Serious lack of class, Frankie. That said, this doesn't hurt the slightest bit. We still have some old heroes and new heroes are standing up. Our boys just have to

  10. Maybe that's why the contract hasn't been signed. Who knows. The temptation to play in an easier league with less defensive responsibility and more limelight. If Hazard was doing what he's doing for us with Madrid or Barcelona, people will be talking about him as the 3rd best player in the world. That's just a fact.

  11. Love already lost. I'll repost a comment I left elsewhere here. Lampard is a fucking joke, man. I never thought I'll say that or feel that way but the man has now destroyed whatever legacy he has here. What's his excuse for remaining at City or even going there in the 1st place? This man is no legend, just a money grubbing cunt. And some people were talking about giving him a statue. Fuck Frank and I hope the club keep its distance from him after his career is done. He's no Osgood, Harris, Dixon, Zola, Terry or Drogba. Just another football player who worships money and attention. I can't b

  12. The only people to emerge from this with any credit are Chelsea supporters. The way we applauded him in Manchester was wonderful, I hope he gets the same reaction at Stamford Bridge. As a club we look pathetic because Lampard has, whichever way you try to sugarcoat it, swapped Chelsea for City after rejecting our new contract. However I'm proud that we made the decision to take a step forward because we are now entering a new era with a new number eight and some stunningly good footballers around him. Either way you have to respect Lampard's decision to stay and play in England because he is

  13. If anything good has come out of Lampard's action's its that it truly puts into perspective just how much off a legend Drogba is.

  17. In a brief trip down memory lane, TalkChelsea reminisce about some of the greatest moments in 2014. From the numerous highs to the occasional lows, 2014 was another rollercoaster of a year for Chelsea Football Club - and here we recount some of our favourite memorable moments from the past twelve months. January 1 - the Blues kick off 2014 with a superb 3-0 demolition of the season's surprise packages - Southampton - on New Year's Day. The fixture marks Juan Mata's 135th and final Chelsea appearance as he later makes a £37 million move to Manchester United. 19 - a Samuel Eto'o hat-trick helps

  18. Seems like we are finally paying the price for the lack of rotation in the last 1-2 months, especially in matches that we could rest players (e.g. the Sporting Lisbon match). People may point out the fact that the likes of Schurrle, Salah, Mikel, Luis etc have not been convincing when given the chance to play, which is true but as lionsden pointed out in the previous page, one cannot expect them to just be on form after one game like turning on/off the tap water. The players need consistent run of games or at least play matches that are close to one another, not one here and another one 5-6 ga

  19. It wasn't his best performance, but Damn was he not giving his all. I loved his determination where Hazard was offside and he started chasing the ball like mad. Players like him calm you down after a loss. No matter what circumstances, they always give everything they have.

  21. Ramires restored a bit of balance but by then it was too late. Honestly, Oscar is a pretty pointless player - he is the definition of a 'Jack of all trades, master of none'. What's crazy is that at one point I thought that was fine, and that we could have such a player in the team, but how wrong was I? Somebody said here recently that he 'provides space' and he did a lot of that today. Unfortunately for us it was for Spurs. We're supposed to be one of the elite European team. Do you think any of Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Atletico etc would have such a pointless player in their team? He would stru

  22. Ugh. Needs to be dropped. Can't believe people think Luis is a worse defender than this guy (*cough* Choulo *cough*). That was legitimately one of the worst defensive performances I've seen in years. Our new back 4 needs to be Luis - Terry - Zouma - Azpilicueta IMO.

  23. He only looks good when we're playing better teams and he has 10 men within 5 yards of him. He is a complete and utter shambles otherwise. We'll play someone rubbish soon and keep a a clean-sheet and ihe'll be back to being England's greatest ever footballer.

  24. 'Chelsea' is just a concept though, not the current board. Lampard should be smart enough to understand that his status here (which he embraced) doesn't allow him to act like the average joe.

  27. Surprise suprise, god even Wenger was right it was all a con from the start, he was never going to MLS. I still can't believe after so many years so many games, so many fans who idolised him, I'm sorry it was a spit in the face and staying the whole season, Frank I am disgusted.

  28. Twice more people viewing Frank's thread than Hazard's according to the forum main page. Why do I feel saddened by it? Let the liar, SOB have the recognition and attention he deserves (zero), let's forget him and focus on what we do have. Eden deserves so many complimenting words after what he did today (actually the whole season).

  29. So you join their direct rival? This isn't a fucking factory job, it comes with responsiblity, the emotion, the fans, and the professionalism that it entails. As Zola said, the players move on, the board moves on, even the stadiums move on, but the fans are a constant, and you don't lose that responsibility when your contract breaks. Lamps did just that, he took the memories the Chelsea fans had of him, and pissed on them, and is now causing death by a thousand cuts just to rub salt in the wound. He never even signed a contract with NYCFC, it was a transfer to City dressed up to decieve the fa

  32. We need more goals and assists from our attacking players, Cesc, Hazard and Costa are the only ones producing the goods week in week out. Oscar and Willian are simply not effective enough in the final third and it's cosing us big time...

  38. Ashley Cole, went to Italy after crying after our final game last season. Didier Drogba, goes to China! after winning us the UCL. John Terry, the one club Hero. What hurt the most about this whole ideal, was the fact that one of our own, our own legend, was willing to be a mercenary for City. That's just not supposed to happen at Chelsea. You see that shit with Arsenal. Enough said on the matter. He can piss off now, and take some more acting class in preparation for January 31. Can't wait to see the water works.

  39. To be fair, he was making some noise a few years ago towards City until we gave him that new contract. However, the fact remains is that he is still here and is still Chelsea; I don't see him 'doing a Lampard'. And by the by, the fact that the Lampard thread is still locked is fucking bullshit. We can't express how we feel on the matter just because some don't agree or will take offence? Yes OK, some overact a bit, but its just like anything else. If some members are acting childish then they should receive warnings instead of moderators acting childish themselves by locking a thread for, what

  40. Really surprised by that. Lamps could go fuck himself. Seriously. He's put himself in a position that could deny us winning an all important Premier League. After all this club did for his career. He's a grown man, if he didn't want to extend it, he wouldn't have done.

  41. My concern is that everyone is suddenly thinking young Zouma is the answer to our defensive prayers. Let me tell you - he isn't - but he can't be any worse than that oxygen thief who wears the #24 shirt.
    3 points
  42. You might have a point but you could also argue that the squad players are not given enough games to get into rythm and gain form. It's unfair to expect players who only see game time sparringly to come in and perform whenever called upon.
