  5. Indeed - I remember the days when people understood 'form' You can't be in-form every game! The culture now of 3 average games = sell him and buy Reus is a little sad... Give the guy a break. Oscar had some poor form, so did Eden, so had every player...

  6. I have been amongst those saying that a super-sub role would be perfect for him. He is just in a bit of a slump at the minute, but the dangerous thing about Schurrle is he can just turn it on at any moment. He'll come good. Remember he is still young, we have to be patient.

  7. He has been hammered for his recent showings on the Paris forums, too. It looks like they are using him as the scapegoat for this poor start. Such a great striker ruined by a tin-pot club. Just like Arsenal did with Ozil and will do with Alexis, too.

  8. We were 4 points behind with hazard injured in the last months, with torres as our striker and no chance creator like fab in the midfield. Mourinho did well considering the circumstances. Credit has to be given to Mourinho for identifying the targets needed. It takes a manager like Mourinho to properly use the money given to him to get the exact personel needed. Give wenger money to fix his team and he forgets to buy a centerback, a DM. Give Rodgers 120mil and he buys midtable players. People think just giving money equals success but forget you have to be smart about it. The manager plays a

  9. Last night in his interview for Cadena Cope. Q - "Hazard remember you of Messi?" A - "Yes, he is our Messi, he is our best player. He is the one that makes the difference and he is the one that makes the transition between defence and attack. He has this amazing balance and if he'll start to score more goals I'm sure we will soon see him on the Ballon d'Or shortlist."

Fabregas admitted leaving Barcelona this time around was harder than the first time. Talking on his move to Chelsea:

When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend." -Bruce Lee "…I’m happy with everything because, in this moment, our team is able to adapt to everything. What the game gives us, we can cope with it. We are not this kind of — I don’t know if this is the right word but — fundamentalist team, that plays only the same way, does the same thing. We can play in di

In his revealing interview with the The Guardian, Ibrahimovic was asked if Mourinho was the most intelligent manager he’s ever worked under, he retorted: "Yes. In the way he approaches players and – ‘manipulates’ is the wrong word – gets them very pumped up? No doubt." http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/519827/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-Chelsea-Jose-Mourinho-Praise-PSG-Star-Latest-News-Lauds

  16. Nothing wrong about people expressing disappointment in a player who's been terrible in the past few games. That's perfectly normal as football fans are generally fickle in their views. That's the point of a football forum, isn't it, so it's not "scapegoating". I'm yet to see anyone seriously calling for his head or anything of the sort.

  17. I would add Matic to that, with those 4 I feel we can win any game, take one out and we are guessing again like last season.I think the depth is good, but those 4 are in a league of their own in this squad. It also shows just how good Mourinho really did getting last season's squad still in the race at January with just one of them 4.

  18. Cech is such a huge Legend. He knows he is not getting any more playing time. Maybe even knew it before the season started, but still was willing to stay for a fight against all odds because he didn't want to leave with the first sign (even if it's a definite one) of trouble.

  19. So, Cech just got awarded golden ball in his home country, Czech Republic. Big congrats to the 'old' man!

Then again I would love to have GC's child. I have to get a daughter first though....Maybe I should goto England & start recruiting Beermaids. I am sure I can get some help for Queen & Country

  33. You think Zidane won it for the amount of goals he scored? What about Cannavaro? Kaka? Besides, he doesn't find it the most important part of his game, yet gets in to double figures consistently. Should be reassuring
    1 point
  34. Well, you are talking about which player is the most important. Obviously a good striker is very important to any team but if you only talk about the best player (most skills and so on) Hazard is superior in my opinion. I'm not saying that Costa isnt an amazing player, I just think Hazard is better.

  39. Come to think of it, I think he is playing better as a left winger. If I could remember, Hazard and him not often changing position. I think it is not a bad idea they could sometimes changing position during the match.

  40. And after that Arsenal fans have the nerve to be angry that he celebrated the goals. Serves them right. They're also a bunch of idiots. By booing and verbally abusing him, they only made it easier for him to let go. This way there's no conflict of loyalties for him.

  41. Great game vs arsenal. Someone wrote he plays like iniesta, dribbling and close control may be but hazard scores more but gets less assists and hazard is less technical than iniesta but more powerful. For now that's how I view him too like an EPL version of iniesta.

  47. The guy is a waste of space - that's the best bit of business we've done in a while, shipping him out! He's lazy, shit and just more shit! Like TOPTB used to say - he could have chose to fight here, but he didn't - his character is now shining through... Falcao on the other hand showed what a desperate striker should do today and credit to him, he got his goal! So glad we left Romelu behind, maybe one day he will wake up and regret his current ego problems, but he is now firmly in the Adebyaour category for me - young or not, this 'man' (used lightly) will never be world class
