  2. Kevin de Bruyne is one of the bigger names on the unusually large list of names currently spending time on loan from Chelsea at other clubs. We had a bit of a look at De Bruyne's game when he played an unusual false nine role in the opening game of the season, and with the 21 year old having enjoyed a fantastic game against Stuttgart last Saturday, I thought it would be an appropriate time to have a closer look at exactly what De Bruyne has been doing. If you take a look at the image on the left, you'll get a good idea of the structure that Bremen was playing. For the match against Stuttgart,

  5. 1 in Community Shield that even the FA doesn't take seriously 1 vs Reading that shouldn't even have counted because he was offside 1 vs Wolves Reserves team who were losing 4-0 at the time Performance-wise, he was also invisible/terrible against Atletico, Juventus, Stoke, QPR, Wigan and even Wolves today - running into defenders, losing possessions and missing sitters. "It was like playing with 10 men" like Gullit said. 4 to 5 in 9 sounds good, but not really. He was good against Newcastle, but from what we've seen I think it's more likely that goal was fluke. I hope he has another good/flukey

  7. As long as he doesn't believe his own hype and does the complete opposite to a Kakuta then he'll be fine.

  9. He improves this light weight Chelsea team because he's a very strong player a bit like Valencia, he's the type of player that can tussle with a centre back if he makes a run into the box. I always felt with players like Wright Phillips and Robben that if a player like Rio got in contact with them then Rio would just shove them to one side but not with Moses he'll have it with Rio. My friend (wigan fan) was telling me that he's similar to Valencia in that he has a brilliant cross and powerful surging runs he said that for a 21 year old we've got a real player who can hurt teams away from home

  10. I was 'for' the 1 year contracts for over 30's rule, but I think every case should be judged on a player by player basis. However, If a player doesn't reach a certain criteria, i.e fitness/performance assessment/career projection, then fair enough.

  11. LMAO the way he just outmuscled Carragher to the floor. Didnt he also bully him like hell in the Premiership game. Lukaku is a beast. Who ever is watching the Carling cup highlights would have seen the way he made Carragher look like a kid. Makes me laugh when I keep watching that.

  13. Ferdinand v Terry? Twice in a week possibly? Prepare yourself Rio, that will be hell!

  14. Easy. Vidic is out, Rio is past it, their other defenders aren't exactly great anymore, De Gea is overrated in my eyes etc. Rooney/Van Persie will be on top form I assume (I'd prefer to play against Rooney), and Ramires could do a job on Scholes or Carrick if he starts on the pivot.

  19. Did well, but that was a 2nd division team with lots of rotations in, don't overrate him yet He certainly looks really promising and it was nice to see our full back actually cross the ball in with pure technique and accuracy after seasons and seasons of watching Bosingwa's bird shots and Ivanovic's rockets

  21. IF YOU STILL THINK HULK WAS A BETTER FIT FOR CHELSEA THAN VICTOR MOSES THEN READ THIS..... HULK HAS BEEN OVERHYPED FOR AGES JUST BECAUSE HE SCORES 20 GOALS PER SEASON IN ONE OF THE MOST ONE SIDED LEAGUES I HAVE EVER FUCKING SEEN. ITS LIKE SAYING GARY HOOPER IS WORTH 50 MILLION BECAUSE HE SCORES 20 GOALS A SEASON IN THE SPL. MOSES IS MORE THAN RAW TALENT, HES ACTUALLY BETTER THAN MOST GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR, HE IS ABLE TO DO THINGS HULK CANNOT LIKE ACTUALLY DEFEND, PLAY FOR THE TEAM, PROVIDE WIDTH RATHER THAN CUTTING IN 24/7 AND USE HIS RIGHT FOOT. HE IS VERSATILE AND SO IS HULK BUT UNLIKE HULK HE

  23. Chalobah is brilliant one of our finest young players. He will probably be more similar to Carvalho than to JT since he has pace.He just needs to keep his head down and play his football, would love to see him starting for us.

  24. I totally agree that it should be a no brainer. It just seems that there is this psychological comfort the EPL coaches get from having at least one "big dude" in the center of the park. I don't know

  29. Last night's game was a joke. Giving GB a kickoff ball for the 2 pt conversion play. Refs probably didn't even know there were different balls. Not understanding pass interference, holding, or any infractions. Usually on a hail mary it's a free for all in the end zone but Golden Tate's blatant two hand shove in Shield's back - you have to call that. And then the call. Here's a picture that sums it up: http://t.co/u6pv6vHU What's even worse is because this was the Monday night game this was supposedly one of the best ref crews out there. You have to wonder if the call would have gone GB'

  30. It wasn't that tho, the goal actually came from him neglecting his defensive duties after losing the ball 25 yards from goal, he took an outrageous gamble that Bosingwa off all players saved from backfiring. Bossy deserves the most praise for the late goal because he actually prevented Barca from nicking it again.

  32. I think it was the right move to send him on loan to Bremen, he is playing and playing well. He needed a bridge between Genk and us, playing at a higher level and on a regular basis and that is what he is doing. He is a talent and i have no doubt that he will make it with us, he just needs to be brought along a little like with Lukaku.

  33. @RyanDavidson Anelka and Drogba were shit for the 6 months prior to Nando coming in, so it made sense at the time to try and evolve the team. The thing is with Torres, he was poor himself but it was widely thought that he needed a change of scene to reignight his career, shame it hasn't worked out like that but i can genuinely say apart from Crespo (who was my favorite non Chelsea players for years before the Argentine came to us) i have never been so excited about a signing before. Their are thing's that have worked against Torres in his Chelsea career and not all has been his fault but there

  35. Yeah, I am back. It's been two years since I was last here. I don't think I'll be as active as I was, though. Between my children and taking care of my turtles and tortoises, I don't have a lot of free time anymore. :getin:

  38. Moses offered us more balance when he came on, he was direct something Hazard, Mata and Oscar aren't. In future i think the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 should be two of Hazard, Mata and Oscar then one of Marin and Moses to offer the width.

  40. Before calling a whole forum "idiots", ask yourself why Torres doesn't get to have 3-4 chances a game like Suarez (just an example). Is it just because of the poor service he's reciving from the others or is it because he's nowhere to find by his teammates? Please, just download today's game and focus only on Fernando's actions. You'll see that he doesn't even bother getting in good positions. He only had 1 (ONE) shoot and that one was a header off target. Against Juventus it was the same story. We can't all be idiots, mate. I go often to the stadium to support my favourite Romanian team and I

    1 point
  45. if you mean Ballack ...he was the complete mid fielder ... For Germany he was their driver . With Chelsea he sacrificed his normal role to provide stability in the Midfield allowing Lampard to play the more attacking role , As a current player Stevie Gerrard if Ballack was playing in his German role ,,,or Schweinsteiger
