  1. He rarely scores, the last one i can think of was in the semi final against Spurs and that was his first one for a while. if he actually gets it past the wall, that would be an achievement.

  2. Who the fuck cares if RM are better than us. We aren't in the same league, we'll face them a maximum of 2 times per year. They have the greatest manager to grace modern football and some really good players. We are CL winners, they aren't. Theymaybe be better than us, but we have the silverware. END OF

  4. Seriously man? Ye we did brilliantly against them over two legs and we had a lot of fortune in getting through against them. But Barcelona have set a new standard in football which all other teams must try to catch up to.

  6. Funny how the commentators, think it was Alan Parry in particular keep on saying how brilliant Kagawa was... what did he do? He was more scared than anything, got the ball, passed it, looked comfortable but showed no desire to actually go the next step and do something. Nice on the ball tho but more suited to West Ham at home rather than Everton away. Have Kagawa in my fantasy team and Carrick, left em both on the bench, this isn't the game for good footballers. Been a great few days tho, other than City digging themselves out if a hole, it's been near perfect. Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenh

  8. All about opinions. I have made it clear over the years on this forum that the 'youth' is primarily window dressing, and ready made articles off the shelf are what the board primarily buy, in order to satisfy the diet of silverware that is requisite for a club of the present stature. Be good if he did though....

  9. Torres is just a frustrating player to watch right now. One week, he looks interested, chasing down balls, running around, working hard and offering movements upfront. The next, he looks totally disinterested. His body language is all wrong and then becomes all too static upfront without offering any real option of passing in the attacking third. One thing that terribly annoys me right now about him is whenever he is with the ball and there are 3-4 players surrounding him, he tries to do it all on his own by taking all of them at once thinking like he's Messi or something when there are option

  10. I think if Ramis hadn't have cleared that one of the line, Nando would be getting a lot of credit for his performance. Seems like theres a very thin line unfortunately. On another day, he could have been given a penalty, scored his goal, and assisted Oscar. He did fine.

  12. It's not only that, you seem to always mention them, it's a bit odd, that's all. Btw our next game is against Reading.

  13. oops, sry, i'm a fucking retard, i thought that winning the champions league would make us one of if not the best team in the world but pardon my mistake. Of course you're right, Madrid is better than us, I mean, they have Ronaldoooo and that Benzema who was such a beast in the French League, oh and also that Kakaaaa. They're all stars and who do we have? Fucking Mata? Lol that guy didn't even make that Spain side or that Cech? Casillas is much better, I mean, he wins all that awards so he must be the best. Don't even get me started on Lampard or Terry, fucking old bastards, we could use someo

  14. i think de gea was their best player, kagawa 2nd was great in comparison to the rest of their team, but the likes of Rooney nani and evra where pretty bad today. he is a great unselfish passer, no doubt, no where near hazard though.

  15. No game is easy anymore in the premier league this weekend has proved it.

  16. I can't believe you're giving Drogba all the credit. That's pretty much like saying Hazard's pass to Ivanovic yesterday wasn't the best pass in the world, he simply sent the ball to the right flank and it should have been a defenders ball if it wasn't for Ivanovic's sheer physicality and will power. Drogba scored the equalizer thanks to a Mata assist. Probably if it weren't for Mata's cross, he'd never have scored that goal. And we wouldn't be European Champions right now, and Drogba would probably still be a Chelsea player...

  18. He has shown that he can play as a CM, a AM, a LW and now recently in the international game he showed that he can play as a RW. I think he can become a great squad player.

  19. Great game against Wigan. If it wasn't for Hazard winning us the game, he'd be my man of the match. Just needs to work on his aggression. Often it's just unnecessary.

  20. Well, he will definitely get more chance to play at Middlesbrough and if he can perform well for them, then I don't see why McEachran can't be a permanent starter at Boro. It's really down to him to prove his worth and stake his claim in Tony Mowbray's team.

  21. Thats the point. They are no more qualified than any football fan to come out and talk shit about Torres being a world class player when he patently isn't. Jamie Redknapp was a pro footballer, should we swallow his bile as gospel? Are we mere Soviet style androids, to follow orders and accept opinions without question? Are we to believe that Torres is great because of what a few Stakhanovites (keeping with the Soviet analogy) say? Torres has been varying shades of shit in his time here. I think everyone has deserved the right to hold reservations on Torres without having our sanity, intelligen

  23. 39 million - hmm - let's just get the deal done, between him + hulk that's another 80 million... If we win all the remaining cups + league with the addition of these 2, it will seem like a genuis move Hmm - using Raul as a bargaining chip... could be a wise move to save some millions

  26. defending and stopping a team full of world class players scoring is an art and something to be proud of! actually putting the ball in the back of the net with limited chances to score is an art! that is why i can never understand how people say we were lucky to beat Barca and Bayern last season! its not luck when a team doesn't score its bad finishing or good goalkeeping/defending. Possession also means nothing when your whole gameplan is to actually let the opposition have the ball! We are more than capable of competing with any team on the planet as we have proven! Its stupid to think Madr

  27. Any bias per-chance? So - this brings an interesting debate - is the team that creates the most chances the best team? Or is it the team who actually scores and WINS the game? Don't fall into the possession trap either - that's another meaningless stat...

  28. Wait.....What? sorry if you believe in Mikel, but never have, never will. He gives one good performace in 10 games, meaning 3-4 good performances a season, but starts 40-50 games a season. He is decent for a backup, not for a Chelsea starter IMO.

  30. I do not think he was that bad in the second half (I didn't watch the first half), but I want to comment on another topic. I hope the board and managerial staff adopt a firm stand with him. I mean by that, that we should give him the starter position in something like 10 games in a row. If he fails to impress and to cimente his position after this run of games, then we should bench him, play Sturridge or whatever the forward that we have bought, and stop wasting our time with him. I know we have already said this many times in the past, but the board seems to keep faith in him, therefore, in t

  31. Yeah i agree, i don't think any one team is gonna run away with it. The gaps between the top 6 has definately reduced and that should be reflected in the table this season... No 25 point gap between us and the manchester clubs this season...

  32. A deserved win for Everton, completely dominated the match, should have even scored more imo.

  33. And I've also seen him waste tens of corners last season by hitting the first defender, one corner does not make him a good corner taker no matter how important that corner was. Even the one in Munich wasn't the best corner in the world, he aimed for the near post as usual and it really should have been a defenders ball if it weren't for Drogba's sheer physicality and will power.

  35. I honestgly hope nobody read/heard this joke already,, it had me crying..but with my luck I bet all of you have. Just imagine sitting in traffic on your way to work and hearing this. Many Sydney folks did hear this on the FOX FM morning show in Sydney. The DJs play a game where they award winners great prizes. The game is called "Mate Match". The DJ call someone at work and ask if they are married or seriously involved with someone. If the contestant answers "yes", he or she is then asked 3 random yet highly personal questions. The person is also asked to divulge the name of their partner with

  37. Sturridge + money for Modric, Meireles + money for Cavani, Hulk for cash and we're good to go. Or at least we would be if real life was Football Manager.

  38. We could get Modric for little price with players exchange that way we have money for a big spending player. Could be Cavani or Hulk....

  39. Wait, so Torres was misfiring? How many clear-cut or even half-a-chances did he miss? All i could see was him trying to make runs, sometimes caught offside, sometimes he took the defender with himself making space for other players. Sturridge will get a chance probably very soon. But you have to think psychologicaly, to let Torres stay on the pitch was imo smart because RDM didn't put pointless pressure on him.

  43. Of course Lamps wants to finish his career here, but we'll just see how much he really wants to. That is, is he willing to take a HUGE pay cut and accept a smaller role? I honestly doubt it. But the important thing is that he is a Chelsea legend and where he finishes his career cannot change that (Unless he chooses to finish it at QPR )
