  1. It shows that in stats (which you keep using yourself) that in terms of productivity this season they are on the same level, or that one of them has been slightly better this season. You seem to be very defensive on Drogba when someone has the audacity to not shower him with praise and worship him like god 24/7. I know that there has been complaints of the increase of Torres fanboys (and girls) who will defend him to the death. But you take the idea of fanboyism to a whole new level. You even get defensive when someone criticizes Lukaku becuase you have taken to the whole "he is the future Dro

  2. Some of the replies in this thread are total bollocks. Drogba had a fantastic game yesterday, fully deserved from him. It's not fair that this excellent Drogba performance overshadows Torres' excellent performances this season. Someone has to be the scapegoat when things are going wrong. And writing a player off has shown why you shouldn't (Terry, Lampard and Drogba). Both strikers have had poor games this season, and that is not really down to them. I said in a previous post that it was the midfield that was the problem. Our more dynamic midfield of Romeu/Ramires/Meirieles has allowed Mata to

  3. Striker in being selfish shocker! He's been constantly told to go for goal in those sort of positions since he's started playing football ffs. Torres would probably be a better player if he had the same sort of mentality. Oh and for those complaining about his lack of a right foot he's taken about 5 or 6 shots with his weaker foot in the past few weeks, nearly scored with one of those shots too. As the season goes on I'm sure his decision making in the final third will improve like it does with all other inexperienced players. We should just be happy he has the talent to get into those sort of

  4. If Kalou does leave we will still have Malouda and Mikel to blame for everything that goes wrong

  5. Drogba seems to have this unique charm and ability to perform brilliantly in one match and make people completly forget that for the last 16 months he has either been under average or just complete crap.

  7. To be fair though there are a couple of reasons why Chelsea fans are less inclined to criticise him. The first is because he has been our great player during the club's most successful period, that contribution to our club's success does not go unappreciated. The second is that even when he is playing poorly he can still pop up with an incredible moment and his attitude is almost always the right one and even during his poor performances he still contributes something to the team because that is the kind of player he is and a key difference between him and Torres. And the third is because I, l

  8. Sorry Sam but from our conversations the impression I get of you is someone who doesn't (and probably never has) appreciated the complete contribution of Didier Drogba, personally I find it a bit sad that some of our own fans can't even see just how good he has been for us, as Bluelion says, he is very underrated even amongst our own fanbase.

  9. Sam why don't you appreciate the fact that he assists goals dude ? He was the second highest assist maker in the league despite having a ''poor season'' it just shows how much of a monster he is ! If you told any other rival supporter that despite your Centre forward having a poor season he will directly contribute to the second highest assists in the entire league they will bite your hand off. Drogba's game is not only about goals its about bullying defenders and creating opportunities for others which is why Lampard has loved playing alongside him. Drogba has averaged at least a goal or an a

  10. An eloquent and accurate assessment of The Mail in general. They have excelled themselves today. Mancs crash and they devote a full page to Lampard to LA galaxy plus the SHIT about Luiz transfer

  11. I'll applaud him everytime he does well in a game. But its a bit hypocritical that we slate Torres 9even if rightly so) for every bad game but some seem to give Drogba a free pass for months of underperforming.

  12. Your blatant cheering for a Chelsea player to fail is quite sickening honestly. Wise cracks and sarcasm to try and hide your hate don't help.

  13. Think if We had a front three in the future of Mata Cavani Sturridge.... They can play together. We just need a super midfielder to replace lampard, a right back and will be getting back to the way we were. This is a dream at the moment though. As mentioned above Cavani isn't the only great player Napoli have and if he became available, I would imagine he would choose Man City for money. That said, IF he did, I think we should move for Dzeko!

  14. I third this. I've been saying for months and will do, we are lacking a goalscorer, thank god didi found some form or we would be in all kinds of trouble, Torres looks worse now than when he joined.

  15. I am looking forward to the day he will no more be one of our player.

  16. Well unfortunatly, my philosophy is that you appreciate a players contribution after he leaves the club. It sounds like people are willing to let him to underperform and not criticize it becuase of reputation. We should be focusing on the now and its vital that players try and preform well every game.

  17. Actually, since your so keen on adding both goals and assists together, I just looked up this season. Drogba has scored 5 goals and got 1 assist, that means he got 6 points (shall we call them?) Torres has scored 4 goals and got 4 assists, that means he has got 8 points this season. Do you see the problem in your methodology?

  18. One of the most frustrating players ever at SB, but he gets goals at all levels.... I'd never want a player who does that to leave

  19. For gods sakes your not using the lazy tactic of adding goals and assists together to try and boost and give some illusion that he has been magnificent. I know you have your mouth firmly wedge down Drogba's cock. But face it, he had an underperforming season and he is incosistant in his productivity.

  20. Fair enough, but Drogba HAS been receiving that sort of criticism the past couple months or so if I remember correctly. Many people wrote him off just like they did to Lampard and look how they've responded. If only Torres and Malouda could take a hint..

  22. Laughable... Daily Fails again. The whole article is a big pile of steaming sheet. First of all we bought him for €25m, and no way would we sell for £15m. Secondly, no way would we sell 2 centre backs in one window. The Chronicles of Narnia seems like based on true story next to that. I have a better chance splurging ink out of my butthole like squids.

  26. i can think of many matches where torres tore up the opposition, sunderland, swansea, man utd, valencia, genk, just to name a few, and with all the new signings and tactics, it was going to take awhile before everyone settled in, even when drogba was our CF some games it looked TERRIBLE (and dont say otherwise)... now we have mata getting more and more used to the system and danny making those blistering runs, along with now our mostly settled starters in midfield that el nino never had then when everyone was trying to settle... i still remember torres having like 15 minutes against newcastle

  29. André did back him. Torres started for a whole month or so this season, while Drogba bided his time on the bench. Torres continued to follow a trend of "1 step forward, 2 steps backwards". We've heard all the excuses, 'poor service', 'lack of faith', etc. Well those are all void now. Look at Drogba's final goal last night, how he held the line and waited for Mata to thread that ball in for him. When has Torres demonstrated this desire on the pitch? I've had enough of him. I backed him all year & understood his frustrations. But there's no interest or passion from him at Chelsea. I personal

  30. It's unfair to categorize MBDTF as a 'rap album' anyway, it's a universal masterpiece. The foo fighters album.. now that should be categorised as 'rock', why do they get away with it?
