As soon as I saw Palmer and Gusto were ruled out, I knew we were gonna get a beating by at least 3 goals. The players just gave up after the 4th/5th goal and didn't even bother trying to get a consolation goal. Our attack without Palmer is like mid-table Championship standard....absolutely clueless and none of them know how to create or finish.By Reddish-Blue

After I slept on it it looks just as bad as yesterday. LOL Poch needs to find a way to finish the season with some positivity. Probably Palmer golden boot or someone of the injured players having a streak of good games(James/Nkunku/Ugo). We need to forget this season and move on, but as it is the second successive season we have to forger it gets a bit trickier. Turned it off last night, started doing some work as once again Chelsea had lured me into looking forward to it all day only to be, inevitably, sucker punched. Everytime I checked back for the score, it had got worse.

yeah good point. Unless we are able to move some players, which will be hard. The ones with market value are also the ones we'd want to keep. I still don't think this squad is coachable as in it can't possible compete in the PL. Even if the perma-injured players come back and stay healthy, we'd still be a few signings short from being able to compete esp in attack--Martinelli and Jesus were sitting on the bench yesterday.

I hope the club is doing its checks. Liverpool, West Ham are in the market for a manager and are already talking to Amorim, Slot. Rumours about United approaching Tuchel. I hope the club is working on its approaches to act if a good manager is available.

I’m happy we are 9th. It would be better for the new manager to have a season without Europe. Our squad cannot compete playing once a week so we can forget the levels required for European games.
