EXCLUSIVE - Chelsea looking at Manchester United defender Leny Yoro after new scouting missions Plenty of PL scouting happening https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/exclusive-Chelsea-looking-at-manchester Chelsea have been scouting and looking at a range of young players round the world but as well as that, they are also looking at players from the Premier League. We recently bought you a report on Chelsea looking into signing Myles Lewis-Skelly from Arsenal, but he’s not the only young PL player we are currently looking at. There are some players who have recently moved to the Premier League that Chelsea have previously had on their radar and potential transfer shortlists. And one of them is the subject of this exclusive story we have this morning. Chelsea have always had Leny Yoro on their radar and were looking at him before he moved to Manchester United from Lille in 2024. But SPTC Sources have heard over the weekend that Chelsea are now partaking in new scouting missions for Yoro whilst he’s been at United, and they continue to have ‘an admiration’ for the 20-year-old France U21 international. He has a big frame standing at 6ft 3in and despite still being a young and developing player, there is a lot to love about him. Any move to Chelsea seems massively unrealistic due to the fact he has only just moved to United and has a contract until 2029. But I guess that anything is possible in this game and Chelsea will not be looking at him for any immediate move - it would be more down the line. Chelsea would also probably look to offer some players IF they did decide to approach United for Yoro anytime in the future. Chelsea do have a handful of players that United are keen on. It’s one we can shelve for now though, but interesting all the same to hear that we are scouting him once again and still have a keen interest in the player.

Bayern Munich's Uli Hoeneß reignites feud with Liverpool in fresh attack on the club signing Florian Wirtz Is he obsessed or bitter? https://thedailybriefing.io/p/bayern-munich-president-florian-wirtz-liverpool-transfer The war of words between Bayern Munich and Liverpool has reignited following Uli Hoeneß’s scathing assessment of Florian Wirtz’s start to life on Merseyside. The Bayern honorary president has taken fresh aim at the Premier League giants, claiming their record signing was sold a lie by Arne Slot and is now suffering in a team overloaded with “superstars.” The context for Hoeneß’s bitterness is no secret. In the summer of 2025, Bayern Munich believed they were in pole position to sign the German playmaker from Bayer Leverkusen. Instead, Wirtz opted for a blockbuster €125m (£116m) move to Anfield, rejecting the Bavarians to become the centerpiece of Arne Slot’s new era. However, the transition has been far from seamless. Wirtz has struggled to replicate his Leverkusen form, failing to register a goal or assist in his opening Premier League matches as Liverpool endure a turbulent campaign. For Hoeneß, this struggle is vindication that the midfielder made the wrong choice. Hoeneß: “Liverpool only have chiefs and no workers” Speaking to German media on Monday, Hoeneß did not hold back, suggesting Wirtz is being isolated by his own teammates. “Apparently, Slot promised him something that he’s now clearly not keeping,” Hoeneß claimed. “He promised him he’d get the number 10 shirt and that he’d build a new team around him. That was rubbish. He got the number 7 shirt, and the new team is clearly not playing around Florian Wirtz.” The Bayern chief went on to criticize Liverpool’s broader squad building, pointing to a lack of cohesion as the reason for their erratic form. “They spent €500m and are having a disastrous season. In my opinion, that’s because they only have superstars. They only have chiefs and no workers. I always say: At Liverpool, they’ll soon have to play with five balls because the stars won’t give up any of them.” He reserved his sharpest barbs for Wirtz’s attacking partners. “Poor Florian Wirtz, he doesn’t even get a ball there because Salah and Szoboszlai and all the others want to play with their own. I feel terribly sorry for him. Everything went through him in Leverkusen. In Liverpool, he gets five passes in a half – and if he loses the ball twice, he gets a bad rating.” (Photo by Liverpool FC/Liverpool FC via Getty Images) Florian Wirtz showed his quality against West Ham Despite Hoeneß’s grim assessment, there are signs that the 22-year-old is beginning to find his rhythm. In Liverpool’s morale-boosting 2-0 victory over West Ham this past weekend, Wirtz produced arguably his most complete performance in a red shirt. Deployed centrally rather than out wide, Wirtz was the architect of Liverpool’s dominance. The stats paint a picture of a player far more involved than Hoeneß suggests. In his 75 minutes on the pitch, Wirtz recorded 52 touches and completed 42 of his 45 attempted passes, a striking 93% completion rate that kept Liverpool ticking in the final third. Crucially, he wasn’t just retaining possession; he was progressive. He completed 1 key pass, won 3 out of 5 ground duels, and successfully completed a dribble in tight space that nearly led to an opener for Alexander Isak. While the goal contributions are still pending, the West Ham display offered a clear rebuttal to the idea that he is being frozen out. As Liverpool look to stabilize their season, Slot will hope Wirtz’s quiet influence against the Hammers turns into the headline-grabbing numbers the Kop—and Uli Hoeneß, are watching for.

https://newlinesmag.com/spotlight/what-venezuelans-are-thinking-amid-us-saber-rattling/#:~:text=The U.S. military escalation stirs, should intervene militarily inside Venezuela The U.S. military escalation stirs both hope and fear among Venezuelans. Debates about the use of foreign military force to topple Maduro divide Venezuelans at home and across the diaspora of nearly 8 million who have fled the country. Some Venezuelans, exhausted after years of failed attempts to remove Maduro through elections, protests and international sanctions, now see military action as the only option left. Others are more skeptical, fearing that those who remain inside the country will bear the cost of military attacks that unleash violence and chaos, without any guarantee that democracy will follow. Still, many Venezuelans now openly support a U.S. military invasion, even if they remain wary of U.S. involvement in the region. There’s widespread unease that military force is not the ideal path to a change of government, but it may be the only one left. An October poll by the DC Consultores polling firm surveyed 1,103 Venezuelans across Venezuela, of whom 86% supported Trump’s current actions in Venezuela, 49% thought Trump should capture key regime officials from Maduro’s government and 17% thought Trump should intervene militarily inside Venezuela.

What Is This Gender Role-Loving OU Student Even Doing In College? She should be home making babies and sandwiches. https://www.wonkette.com/p/what-is-this-gender-role-loving-ou For the last several decades — and especially the past couple years — we have not heard the end of how DEI and affirmative action mean that people who aren’t as qualified will be admitted to colleges, get jobs and get promotions at the expense of those who are, based on their race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. The irony of this, of course, is that these programs are actually meant to counter the problem of those who weren’t as qualified getting into college, getting jobs and getting promotions at the expense of those who were … based on their race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. Except, of course, in that situation, the unqualified folks were white people, men, Christians and straight people, not to mention those with family connections. If it wasn’t already abundantly clear that what those complaining about DEI and affirmative action want not a “meritocracy” (a term first invented as satire), but a return to those “good old days” (as if they were ever really over), the saga of one Samantha Fulnecky ought to make it so. Fulnecky is a psychology major in her junior year at Oklahoma University who recently managed to get her psychology professor ousted for giving her a bad grade on a terrible and poorly written paper that did not complete the objectives of the assignment, simply because that terrible and poorly written paper that did not complete the objectives of the assignment. The failing grade, she claims, was “religious discrimination” against her because she is a Christian and therefore should be given a pass on writing a terrible and poorly written paper that did not complete the objectives of the assignment. The assignment was to write a 650-word essay on an article they read in class about a study involving gender roles and stereotypes. Students were given a number of options in how to respond, not one of which Fulnecky chose to go with. Rather, she wrote her essay on how she believes God made men and women to have specific gender roles and therefore gender roles are good and right and should be adhered to. But hey! Let’s hear her out, shall we? So, just to be clear, here — pressuring people to all believe the same thing is bad, unless it’s the thing Samantha Fulnecky believes, in which case everyone should be bullied into believing it. It’s bad when people have their own “truths” about their gender expression, but good when they rely on Samantha Fulnecky’s “truth” about their gender expression. Freedom of speech is good, except for when people use that freedom of speech to disagree with Samantha Fulnecky. Gender roles are good and must be adhered to, because God, unless they are gender roles that Samantha Fulnecky does not want to adhere to. Because let’s just note here, again, that by going to college, playing competitive team sports and having opinions of any kind, she is openly defying the gender roles she so cherishes. If she really cared about preserving these norms, she would drop out of school immediately in order to give up her spot for a man who is even more stupid than she is, and, instead, just have his babies and make him sandwiches all day long like a good Stepford Wife. By the way, Oklahoma University has put the instructor who failed poor Samantha Fulnecky on leave. Did we mention the instructor is trans? So yes, this is that kind of hitjob. Frankly, it’s all the conservative “attack a professor” hitjobs in one.

oh, ok, I was only thinking of MFers ie DMFs and CMFs, as it gets a bit complicated when you delve into many AMFs (like Wirtz), who often play as wingers and SS's and even CF's as well)

🚨 James Trafford wants out of Manchester City just five months after his £27M move in the summer. Trafford had been signed as City's new No.1 before the club brought in Gianluigi Donnarumma on deadline day leaving him demoted to the No.2 spot. Donnarumma has started every single Premier League game since. (@Jack_Gaughan)

Yet most Venezuelans despise Maduro and voted against him in last year's presidential election that was considered by many — including the U.S. government — to have been stolen by his regime. One Venezuelan analyst, who asked to remain anonymous for his safety, said that most Venezuelans would support U.S. military action to remove Maduro. https://www.npr.org/2025/11/27/nx-s1-5620605/trump-venezuela-maduro

🔵🗯Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly set to battle it out for Brazilian wonderkid Luis Eduardo. Eduardo, 17, has been in action at the Under-17 World Cup in Qatar over recent weeks, where Portugal emerged victorious. One of those is Eduardo, with the centre back helping Brazil to come fourth, although they lost on penalties in both the semi-final and third place play-off. And, according to Spanish outlet AS, Eduardo’s performances saw him emerge as one of the standout players at the World Cup. The 17-year-old, who turns 18 next month, was Brazil’s captain and his traits, which include his incredible speed and tackling ability, have put clubs on alert. The report goes on to add that Premier League rivals Chelsea and United have already entered negotiations over a move for the centre back.

I was thinking about this, if City wins it's not the end of the world for me, if Arenal wins the mentaility shift will be insane and more competition withim over the next couple of season. I prefer Arsenal blow it because mentally they will be so low ala Spurs. City has been the reference over the last decade and if they win it I think Pep will use it to hung up his boots. So if we can't win it, I don't mind City.

Yamal looked nothing amazing against us, but I will still spend plus 100 million if we could get him. One game does not define a player. That being said I would not mind if we get one of them, BUT not at the cost of blowing our budget on that and negate defense.
-
They will probably convince him to get at least one extension in this period to increase his wage comparable to the other starters so probably 2034 or 2035 contract.
-
Looked nothing amazing against United, definitely not worth the 100m pricetag.

Yep wharton is one of the best young deep midfielders in the world. Huge mistake not picking him up from blackburn
