I watched his game against Denmark, I didn't know much about him but he suprised me! One of the best on the field and better than Lucas moura.

Right back of Czech republic, played well against Russia and again this game against Greece, even got a assist. Looks good attacking and defending. This might be an option for ivanovic back up.

Tonight in the russia game vs poland our eye will be on this guy, I really hope he will play a great game again. Seriously thinking this guy needs to come to chelsea

He isn't a wonderkid and it's better to have Ivanovic rb but maybe vd Wiel fits perfectly in our squad and grow as a player.. Just waiting for the deal be confirmed or not.

I can confirm this for a part, I live in Holland and I do follow the dutch league. Van der wiel plays like bosingwa indeed, defending isn't his strength and attacking... mmmm also not really his strength. Probably he will be better with our guys around him, and maybe he can grow as a player, but the risk is too high.. I prefer Ivanovic rb
