  1. I personally don’t understand why many fans have been criticizing him so much. Yes , there were some poor games before he got injured, but still he was scoring all over the place both for Chelsea and Belgium. It was such a bad luck the injury happened right before the period where we were facing norwiches, newcastles etc. Had he been playing then, the goal tally would look much better. Just wait for the spring when he gets fit and restores that goal scoring routine. He’s an excellent player with some invaluable capabalities
  2. So good to see him fly right from the start. Been too long since we have had a striker like this.
  3. What a half time. Let’s go!
  4. I really feel like he is the missing piece. We really need someone who is a constant threat in front of the goal and who keeps the opposite defence on their back foot. Sadly, Werner has not been able to produce and going into the season with only hoping that he would find the net again is risky if we want to compete for the PL and UCL. We might finally have a player who can bag 25-30 goals in the PL, and that is getting me excited! Lukaku is a Chelsea guy through and through, it’s sad things didn’t go well in the first try, but I really feel like this time it’s going to be different if he joins. Good thing is also that he has now tasted some glory in Italy, but hasn’t won major trophies in England/Europe, and with Chelsea, he really has a chance to win big things.
  5. Despite the result, I really enjoyed his movement and action on the field today. By far the best PL game from him in a Chelsea shirt, and it is obvious that the 10-position suits him the best.
  6. The first half was awful, but fortunately he was much better during the second half. Even though he made the crucial interception in our second goal, I have and probably always will prefer him in the defensive line. His ball control is just too shaky to be a midfielder in my opinion. But no matter what position he's playing, the attitude this lad is unbelievable. We were lucky to get him back from PSG.
  7. No doubt he has the abilities to be one of the greatest strikers of the game. He's a quick and strong striker who has got that nose for goal. I also think that from the technical and strategic aspect he has developed a lot at Everton. I remember how glad I was when we signed him for the first time, but maybe the expectations were too high back then. He was just a boy with a good goal scoring record in the Belgian league, but was lacking aforementioned technical and strategic skills that are essential in the Premier League. Of course he's still young, but I think that he has proved himself at Everton. He can score goals in the PL and be a leading character in the team. At the age of 24, this is exceptional. Maybe he can do the same here as King Didier.
  8. Was nice to see him scoring again. Did he actually kiss the badge while celebrating? It certainly looked like he did, but the TV-cameras were filming at his back so it's hard to see
  9. Very big blame on Conte now. Why can't he just make substitutions earlier? And when he makes them, why not to choose Batshuayi? Can't understand the rationale behind all this, if there is any because the decisions he makes are weird.
  10. Too early to make big conclusions but at least it looks like we have got back this ability of turning the games to wins in the last minutes. For many years I think we haven't been very good in that sense. Scoring a late winner is maybe the best feeling in football, but of course it would be nice to seal games also in the earlier stage.
  11. Wow, for me he looks to be a very, very good signing. He's young and strong, and he's got that eye for goals. For now he's a perfect 2nd striker for us, as he can make an impact when he goes on the pitch. And for sure, during this season there will be many chances for him to show his ability in the starting lineup. As he gets more comfortable with the Premier League and English football, I can see him becoming a very good striker in the future. He might be our 1st choice striker one day, depending on what we do in the transfer market.
