  1. CHELSEA SO FAR 2016 / 2017 Season: What can be done to become world beaters? After the loss to Spurs, all CFC's assumed invincibility came to the open. All is not lost, here are few points to make us (CFC) become world beaters. 1. Astute determination and self-belief 2. Not relenting and basking in the glory of previous victories 3. Addressing shortcomings of each player (I will get back to this important point) 4. Correcting the shortcomings and making substitutions early enough. 5. Fostering solid connectivity among the players - and making the team one solid machinery of art. Now on point number 3, I will take up on some of the players and put forward my suggested opinion which i am positive if addressed - the mountain-top of success becomes inevitable for the team. Cahill: - Solid and determined defender makes mistake but still lacking in making matured decisions. In the Spurs game he made a low header that went to the opponent, his best choice was to grab on the player and concede a yellow all in the bid to recover. My opinion, he had better options than the grab. As a defender 95% of the time your focus should be where the ball is and objective thereafter, is make contact with the ball - He could have spun around and kick the ball away from the opponent. Agreed there are occasions whereby a defender will need to channel greater portion of his focus on the opponent and less on where the ball is going – example is when crosses are pulled through and the defenders best choice becomes to cleanly de-stabilize the oncoming opponent (annoyingly this was gifted to Spurs for their goals). Ngolo Kante: (This is an interesting one) – Against Spurs he had an off-day. He conceded the highest number of turn-overs – he was making interceptions only to to lose possession by passing to the opponent Courtois: His major problem is he got used to the cover provided by midfield / defence in recent times so when the moment of truth arrives he becomes clueless. Against Spurs I put all the blame on him for the second goal. The Goalkeeper is the only player privileged to see the entire 21 players excluding himself. You can make a mistake once but making the same mistake twice is in-excusable. For the Spurs second goal against CFC, he having the peripheral vision should have followed the cross and gone for the punch before it gets to the head of the Spurs player. He failed there. Pedro: Good but a little bit more patience in his game would make him a complete player Costa: Deadly finisher maybe, but he is still lacking a lot to be defined as a lethal-striker. His major shortcoming, he is a very poor dribbler. He scores we know and appreciate this from him but if he could dribble his goals tally will be in the high twenties at this stage of the season he needs to improve. Azpiculueta: Good interceptor – needs to improve his passing accuracy and crosses Alonso: Reasonable crosser – Needs to be more confident in taking scoring chances when they come. Antonio Conte: Great job so far!!! Highly appreciated – but improvement is needed. Kindly focus on each player improving and not managing them the way they are. Teach them what they are lacking. Scoring is one of our (CFC’s) shortcomings. We don’t score enough because we don’t have confident scorers – please teach them. You considering your pedigree as an ex-defensive player please kindly teach the defence-line and midfield the art of “1-goes / 1-covers”, When there is an onslaught from opponents 1 should go for the interception while 1 covers up for the loose ball –that way defence becomes impregnable and these also involves the goalkeeper. To the entire team and forum: I am not castigating the team, I love and believe in the team and I know we have the potential to be the best that’s why I am suggesting these improvement keys to ensure we have a successful season.

  5. MY recommendation & a few pointers; Personally I don't fancy it when Costa goes brutish as opposed to playing football, however in my opinion he is not been fed enough - this explains why in some cases out of desperation he skies obvious goal attempts (after he must have waited for over 60 minutes before he gets the first through pass of a game). The likes of Ramires have been in the team - and has refused to better his game agreed he is a rugged street baller, but modern football requires tact and acumen these are lacking in a number of our players and I sincerely hope we see improvement or else - this season will be disaster in the offing. 'Azpi-(strongman)-culueta' is a poor no-confident passer of the ball though a good stopper he is, but the accuracy in passing is still needed to attain victories. Ivanovic - confident but poor passer. The likes of Mikel / Cuadrado might be looking at playing games only in training. Next Thing Transfer market:: - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Mr. JM no more impulsive buys don't buy players that you wouldn't use, buy them only if you consider them good enough and use them. Still to Jose Mourinho - Use training sessions to improve on player abilities we as loyal fans are saddened when we see players on the field repeating the same poor play (errors) week in week out (Examples sorry to mention names; Ramy, Azpi, Iva) - their shortcomings have remained a part of their game no improvement seen. Courtois (Begovic) Azpi Cahill Terry Baba (Zouma) (Ivanovic) Matic (Mikel)/(Ramires) Willian Fabregas Pedro Hazard Costa (Remy)/ (Falcao)

  7. Don't puke - Average footballer... mmm well thats the usual starting point for any footballer - thereafter the onus lies on the player to keep climbing to heights unimagined. Look at Christiano Ronaldo plot his graph from Lisbon - to MUFC - RM did you see the ascent. Any player can be what he wants to be depending on how devouted he is to the course of being a world class player. Or would you say James Rodriguez is an ordinary player and so will he remain? We were beaten by guys who had less booze & women on New years eve Simple!
  8. You are ABSOLUTELY correct mate!!!!! I read all most the post and I chose yours to reply to for the plain truth in your message - All that happened yesterday showed what the team has been all season long and all it takes is a determined bunch of young lads (the Chadlis/Kanes/Roses) to make it glaring. I was gonna address a personal letter to Mourinho - but I don't know how to start new posts on this Forum so I chose to reply to other posts instead. Not only do we need to shop in January but we need to do new things in training with what we have. The current Chelsea team is still lacking cohesion (I wonder why some people started calling us Chelsealona we are still very far from the cohesive bunch the Spanish club is). 70% of our players play below par and still find it difficult to play to their full potential - this I attribute to the coaching crew not doing enough to TEACH new tricks and make the players become a formidiable network (Chelsea should start playing with connectivity - just as is displayed by the best NBA teams). Players need to be able to see their teammates on the pitch even with closed eyes - that is cohesion. Now I will pick on the players based on yesterday's game and what needs to be done; Gary Cahill - normally good and strong, but yesterday he was lethargic, I observed this from the first few forays the opponents made at him. If I were Mourinho, I would have replaced him after 15 minutes (but do we have replacement? - Has Zouma been psyched enough to make him realize that he can do better than Cahill and surpass our old benchmark of a CB - (Ricardo Carvallho)? Cahill was Pathetic all through the game, and I am sure if he watches the video he will hate himself - He costed us the game simple!!! others: Ramires - strength no skill, that is biting us to this day - the opportunity that came his way instead of using the outside of the left foot to put a backward curve and roll the ball into the net he chose to use the inside of the foot - alas ball rolls out for spurs goalkick. Willian - another energy speedstar who does everything well except the last thing kick or pass the ball to the right place Oscar - maybe he is just a softy who lacks courage and is unaware of how good he can be. Ivanovic - strong below average skills needs serious polishing. Azpi- good man marker but no confidence in making a good pass or good goal - Maybe because he is been pushed to his weaker left foot role Eden Hazard - Golden Boy!!! , but can he do it alone Fabregas - Master passer - he should be the coach to the likes of Ramires/Ivanovic/Azpiculueta and make them better passers. Diego Costa - the determined attacker - Good team player, because of the way we play he has been forced to be a member of the attacking squad and not a lone striker, if there was cohesion in the team his contributions would yield more results as he can always lay a pass for a finisher - but when you have the likes of Ramires, Azpiculueta or Ivanovic running into the box you can be assured that they are gonna kick the ball outside the goal - shame here. My recommendations for Mourinho going forward. 1: Do something different in training - teach these boys how to network with each other accurately on the pitch. 2: Let all the players have @ least 1hr per training session on how to shoot at goal accurately from inside/outside the box with any foot either inside/outside of the feet. Currently we are very poor in that department that's why we don't score in high numbers. Our players should take cue from players like Yaya Toure, Lampard, Beckham, Finidi George & Pirlo. Chelsea can be a better team If we address the shortcomings in our playing style - As it is for now we have no pattern and we just win when fortune shines on us, otherwise we end up with disastrous results like yesterdays game. If our team was completely cohesive we could have turned around yesterdays game and keep counterscoring till we win (there is the old adage 'the best defence is a very good attack'). 3: Go to market go and shop for some more defenders and a couple more Intelligent midfielders. I have always said football goes beyond energy alone but acumen is also involved. Just some few words to improve our game to the ultimate outcome of being champions.
  9. Even though Azpi is a good man marker, he is still lacking in clear cut passing and goal finishing he is not yet in the mould of a top class left back
  10. Todays Game against Tottenham January 1st 2015 Gary Cahill was the collosal catastrophic culprit
  11. Todays Game against Tottenham January 1st 2015 Gary Cahill was the collosal catastrophic culprit
  12. We need a striker. Torres and Ba should continue to seat on the bench. Lets see what we can do with managing David Luiz in midfield Matic and Schurle as false striker.I think the Egyptian should be given a chance too. But lets rest Ba and Torres for now.
  13. I wonder why you guys are saying Ramires Ramires, I have always said Ramires has energy but lacks the IQ of a world class modern footballer he can thrive in the villages of Rio in Brazil, but where the modern game is played, he is nothing but a warrior.
  14. Guys We did well, we won MANCITY on home soil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Greatttttt achievement. BUT, we need to smoothen out the few shortcomings in the team. 1. We need a bit more cohesive networking between our players 2. We shouldn't lose balls/possesion when we don't have to 3. Our players now should look for role models in the previous Mourinho era and aspire to play even better than the old era great players. Cahill - doing a good job as Replacement for Carvallho Hazard - has carved a Niche for himself no player of the past to compare him with. Willian - is a mold of the old Joe Cole/Lassagna Diarra and he is doing a good job. JT - JT Petr Chech - Petr Chech Ramires (aka energy box) - Meant to be the current Essien of the previous era, but he is still miles behind the target. (Essien never lost possesion and could finish lethally with sublime goals. Mr. Nascinmeto Ramires please you are good but a little bit more polish is required from you. Eto'o - still manageble despite age (its a herculean task to Hat-trick MANU (maybe a MANU under re-construction) - Kudos! Torres - Our expectation of you is to surpass the achievement of Drogba. You still got chance to do it. We believe in you. Demba Ba - Your task is to re-enact your first season at Newcastle - don't give up you can do it. Mourinho - Don't spare the boys if they slack, anyway we know you as a no-nonsense leader and will only give shirts to those who deserve it. You also have a target to surpass your previous era achievements. Azpiculueta - You are doing a good job as a Celestine Babayaro reincarnate. Ivanovic - Well done Well done Well done - We appreciate your contributions to the attack. David Luiz - Spend extra hours on the training ground to perfect your God-given talent and Skills, your free kicks are great and you can make them get to the point of >75% accuracy I believe you can
  15. Good Job Blues BUT..... some improvements needed. We all agree Ramires is an energetic utility player who just bundles himself over in front of opponents. He needs to be more deft with his touches. 6 out of 10 times he is responsible for our losing possesion. His game is just too straight - no art no trickery. I think Mou has tried in building up a team (though still a work-in-progress). But now I think its time to start correcting individual players' shortcomings. I singled out Ramires because in yesterday's game he killed at least 4 artisctic forays we made in the opponents area, either by running straight into an opponent or by kicking a lame shot towards Joe Hart. Ramires its time to improve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oscar/Hazard/Willian have all upped their game, David Luiz useful in midfield, Azpi keeps on doing better game by game. Cahill/Chech/Terry - top marks for a great performance Ivanovic - Plays his soul for the club to the best of his ability. I never knew he could kick with the left foot. Thats what we need, 2- legged players not (1-leg, sorry Ash Cole)
