The English Football Thread

Started by Steve,

I know the table is a bit meaningless this early in the season but it's really strange seeing that Newcastle can move just a point behind us with a win today. I've seen them a couple of times this season and they looked right there with Palace as the worst side in the league. Like absolutely dreadful.

I don't get Bobby Madley - every Arsenal free kick outside of the box, he whistles the first millisecond.

For example the Sanchez free kick just before the Lacazette tap in - could have easily played the advantage, but did not. Totally opposite of what he did in the other penalty area with Jay Rodriguez.

Why the hell would you play advantage there when it was a crystal clear penalty kick?!

Still... How many chances do West Brom need though???

It's actually ridiculous how unbelievably easy Man United's fixture list has been so far this season. Played nothing but relegation candidates in the PL and blown them all away and in the CL have a piss easy Europa League-level group. It's as if Mourinho himself hand picked the schedule.

They have not been tested at all yet. What have they conceded so far, 2 goals this season?

Easier start means tougher mid and late season, it all balances out throughout the whole season.

Indeed, but in my opinion (and José's I'm sure) it's probably ideal to have a piss easy start like they've had. Perfect to build up confidence and goal difference against shite opposition so by the time you play anyone decent everything is set.

im reading comments on other forums and everyone is writing us off already after this loss to City, what a joke. It was a great game by City and they deserve the win but let´s not talk as if it was a Champions League final, i will give the benefit of the doubt to Conte because we looked tired after that Madrid game and Morata´s injury was a turning point, still no excuse, but at the end of the day its only 3 points for them, still a long season to go, nothing is won yet by anyone, everyone is riding City and United dicks, jeez i swear manc fans are the worst. We will bounce back from this loss, lets believe in the team.
