Steve

The English Football Thread

Started by Steve,

Vardy with the hattrick.

John Stones....my god what a crap defender he is. Can't believe we wanted that poor man's Cahill so badly. Dodged a bullet right there.

Hope this doesn't turn into Leicester's big come back.

I still want to beat them nice and easily when we go to the King Power stadium.

Winless in the games before the Champions League. I'm rooting for them to win the Champions League!

How naive were City? We all saw Leicester like playing on the counter last season and City went and gave them all the space in the world to do what they did last season. Of course the defending didn't help but City's overall approach was shambolic.Guardiola is naive if he thinks he can come to England and impose his style on the opposition without adapting to whoever he's facing.

Did he seriously say this?

If it were up to Pep, all physical contact would be taken out of the game in favor of "interception-only" defending. The Premier League is not the league for you!

God bless Michael Emenalo for saving us from John Stones (and signing Djilobodji, who he made a profit on btw!). The man is an absolute legend :worship:

Never forget that the individual wanted the club to spend 40m+ on this absolute joke of a player.

I know Stones isn't exactly faultless himself but the thing is, had he joined us instead, he definitely wouldn't be playing like he is now. Throw someone like Zouma into that Guardiola side and even he would look like headless chicken.

Tbf, with Martinex you could defend him as he inherit him as a boss, however he choose to play for Pep so he made his bed.
