Has anyone actually watched more than just the 2 youtube videos on this guy to give an informed opinion on this guys ability? Im reading alot of hes not worth that remarks but Id be willing to bet a ton none of you watch the Ukrainian league.

I've only seen him play once, and that was two seasons ago when Fulham beat Shaktar 2-1 at Craven Cottage. I don't remember him having an especially good game.

Quaresma was a really good player, it was a surprise his failure at Inter. William is a bad buy from the beginning.

So you think. If you where a manager and you bought Quaresma then we would be saying that same thing about you being a bad manager.

It's easy to sit and judge, then when you actually doing the job.

From Official Shakhtar Site:

Recent days saw Shakhtar’s midfielder Willian being in the spotlight of the Ukrainian and international mass media linking him with a move to Chelsea. The Terrikon.com correspondent asked FC Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin to clarify this situation.

- Is Shakhtar prepared to sell Willian to Chelsea?

- The philosophy of our club is simple: If a big club offers serious money for our player, we will always consider its proposal. Of course, if a player himself wants to leave. In our case, Willian expressed his desire to test himself in the Premier League.

- What can you tell about the alleged transfer fee?

- Willian’s contract involves a minimum release clause of 35 million Euros. But we met Willian halfway and are ready to let him go for 30 million. It should be said that for the aforementioned sum of money it will be difficult for us now to sign a player of Willian’s level. If the minimum release clause indicated in the contract had been 50 million Euros, then we would demand for the player no less than 40 million. It is important to understand that today we are talking about Chelsea’s desire to buy Willian, but not Shakhtar’s desire to sell him. We also need this player.

- What is your response to Chelsea’s 20 million bid for Willian?

- When Willian was 19 years old we paid for him almost the same amount of money. What is the point of such a deal then?

Villas-Boas described Shakhtar Donetsk's Willian, with whom Chelsea have been linked in the media in the last day, as an interesting player but says we are not interested in signing anyone who is ineligible for the Champions League this season.

Listen, he said days ago that he is saving his money he earns in Ukrayne to return to Brazil and play again for Corinthians. He also tried to play for Corinthians in January, but Shaktar refused to loan him.

He is the typical brazilian that ask to return to Brazil while under a contract with an european club. If he comes to Chelsea, and dont get many chances as starting XI, soon he will ask Chelsea to stay 6 months in Brazil, and probably will say its due to family matter.

Thats why AVB is making a huge mistake trying to get this guy.

Why? Is it due to homesickness? Or lack of ambition?
