So a final against Spurs is the prize for the winner tonight! I would think that if SWP is fit to play he will because playing the 4-3-3 worked so well against them last time and having Maka do the job of Mikel in the last game to snuff out their attack will be right up his street. Should be a cracking game and hopefully we will get a decent result.

Cant believe that last night. Arse were too far forward too many times and the yids caught them on so many ocassions . Walcott overrated by far, and Adebeyor nutting Bender, wasss that all about ?

News is looking promising for SWP now, and Sinclair may get a run methinks, but Lescott will be desperately looking to amend things.

Yup the Arse was completely mugged last night! Had a lot of first team players out too so not many excuses for them to use, although they will try to.

The most important thing for us is that our defence is solid and we are very strong there at the moment, to have Cech, Belletti, Alex, Carvalho, Bridge and Maka lining up means we are going to be very strong defensively and we can look to attack them knowing we have the right back up.

Everton will be desperate to make the final, although so will we be so it should be a pretty exciting game in general.

Yup the Toffees biggest game for years. Defence will have to be at their best tonight, and if we're a goal up, or level with 20 to go can see Ivanovich getting a debut as well

Would be the best player to have on the bench considering he can cover the whole of defence and Maka's position if need be.

If we can have SWP fit and Anelka up front then we have a great chance, but we desperately need big games from Malouda and Cole. I am very much looking forward to this game and even though it is the Carling Cup the prospect of playing the Spuds at Wembly is a very inviting one.

Lampard's not playing, he's torn his thigh muscle in training. What a fucking surprise <_<

-------------

Injured Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard faces a further two-week lay-off after tearing his thigh muscle for a second time during training.

Lampard, who has been out since Boxing Day, is now a doubt for England's match with Switzerland on 6 February.

Chelsea boss Avram Grant said: "Frank's injury is a little bit more complicated than we thought. He has torn his thigh muscle for a second time.

"I think it could be between a few days or two weeks from now."

Grant had hoped Lampard would be fit enough to face Everton in Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Goodison Park.

Chelsea go into the match with a 2-1 lead after the first leg at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.

What next? SWP can't play because he has a broken arm?? Sheesh how unlucky with these injuries can we get??

Grant last night taunted Everton fans by saying they are a small club. Big Bad Avram Grrr.

(Daily Mirror)

Also, The Toad has hinted he couldn't care less about the Carling Cup. Same as Wenger.

(The Sun)

To be fair Everton are a small and pointless club :D

Saying the same as Jose always said. If you list the cups in priority, this would be bottom, although we go into every single game to win it.

Mourinho always said its important, but fourth in priority. Yeah Evertons recent history not as good as ours, but they've won the League six times more. :)
