^Even Ferdinand can't ignore obvious talent.

With Benayoun out for a long time Josh is going to get more minutes than expected. He is now 5th in the midfield pecking order(6th if we include Zhirkov), John Obi Mikel had 34 appearances last season when he was also 5th.

Josh's ability is undeniable, he is so talented it is untrue. Touches like the one in the video above he can do so easily. Some of the ability on the ball in the video i made of him, particulary from the youth cup are just crazy. What he doesn't do is tricks for the sake of tricks, everything he does is for a reason and 9 times out of 10 he pulls it off. His rise has been so quick, it was 2 years ago i first saw him win player of the tournament in the U16's tournament the Cobham cup, and now he is playing well in the first team.

It is really pleasing to see Josh transfer his ability to influence a game and his skill into the first team to well. For a 17 year old to be able to do that in a team like Chelsea is something very very special and not to be taken lightly. When you see what he is doing when on the pitch it is hard to see him not getting more and more games. But Chelsea will want to be careful with him and not overload and over pressurise him.

Liam Brady-esque Josh McEachran possesses a left foot to die for

Comparisons with Brady and Andrea Pirlo are no exaggeration – Chelsea's precocious talent has skills that can't be taught

Brilliant article from The Guardian (yeah them again!) about how Josh is already being compared to Pirlo!
