For me, Ramires has always been a priceless player for us. He is not the flashiest, but he makes a big role in big games.

Mikel can only offer interceptions, and today he failed at that with terrible positioning. In a game where we are struggling to win the midfield battle, a player of Ramires' capabilities is an absolute must.

dont know why this injury is taking such a long time for rambo to recover from. on the other hand, i hope it is the injury that is keeping him on the bench and not a tactical side of things.

Needs to play more. Offers more defensive cover than any player I've ever seen because of his work rate, he even makes Essien look lazy. Offensively he can be a nightmare, yes, but in big games when you need to cover that backline? Ramires every time.

Kind of the same with Willian, wait until he is out for a few weeks and we are forced to play Schurrle and Salah regularly. Only then people might appreciate his work rate...etc more even though the complain about his productivity is accurate too

Everyone appreciates his work rate but he's still a RW, his attacking contribution should be better than his defensive contribution which it really isn't. Willian clearly isn't good enough to be a starter for us imo.
