would be the perfect player to match dos santos' speed in the counter. good decision by scolari.

unfortunately managers like scolari and JOSE are not as knowledgable as some of the posters on here and keep playing rambo. :wank2:

^^ nah Jose doesn't start 2 attacking fullbacks.

Scolari is smart... He saw that the attacking fullbacks were completely exposed, so he will stick Ramires on the right to help Dani Alves. Paulinho is a good player, but terrible marker and a bit on the slow side. Too slow to cover the fbs. So, that's what he is trying to correct with Ramires.

And the substitue seems to be working wonders 15 minutes into the second half, right? Mexico absokutely dominating possession and hopelesaly working brazil on the wings.

Why am I wasting ny tine... another phildriver or happyjuan type of poster.

How is it that this thread is active only when he makes a mistake or even half of it.

Showed more balls than all the rest combined.

Was pretty good from the moment he came on.

Keep it up rambo!!!

Managed 4 shots, only 1 of which was on target. Made no tackles or interceptions, a couple of key passes.

In the context of that Brazil team, he was better than Paulinho and Fernandinho who were utterly awful. So you're saying the bar is set so low for Ramires now that he should be praised for not being complete dogshit??

If he put in a performance like that for us he would get stick as he usually does when he puts in performances like that.

in the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half was the best player on the pitch. germany barely had attacks down the brazilian right flank as he was tracking back while muller and schurrle kept tearing into marcelo and the brazilian left flank. created 2/3 clear cut chances and one was parried by neuer. he was head and shoulders above any and all brazilian on the pitch. the defence was a joke, fernandinho and paulinho were shit, oscar had another nothing performance. rambo did almost everything right. also, he came on as a winger.

but yes, he was shit!!!

Actually I quite clearly said he wasn't 'complete dogshit'.

But I'll agree that he was the best Brazilian player out there. He was head and shoulders above them, a real colossus in their team. He made Paulinho and Fernandinho look like bad footballers which was an amazing achievement. He even made Oscar look like the type of player who hasn't played well in 6 months.

It's amazing that this thread isn't buzzing with praise for a player who was great for twenty a minutes in a team that was thrashed 7-1.

Life is so unfair sometimes.

and yet sometimes people crib when he makes a tackle. or rather go to schurrle thread and parise him when he comes on for 20minutes, plays a good game when his team is only winning 5-0, against a disheartend, disorganized, getting booed by their own fans team. well life does seem fair.

also its suprising how one person can single luiz out for his crap performance and yet cant give the due to a player who actually performed well. i mean the only way rambo could have stopped the mauling in the first half was if he got harry potter's invisibility cloak and went on the pitch and starting doing some magic. but guess what, when he came on the pitch, he did change the game on its head. but who the hell cares. its only rambo!!!

Actually it's now been revealed that the Germans basically took their foot off the gas at half-time so as not to embarrass the Brazilians, so maybe that had more to do with Rami's 'dominating' performance....at least until Schurrle came on and the Germans decided to start playing again. :D
