Football Identities

Started by BlueLion.,

This is another forum game.

A player gives five clues about a particular footballer. These clues can't be incredibly hard nor too easy. The idea is for other members to guess who the mysterious player is. The person who gets it right wins a point and gets to post up the next challenge.

I'll go first!

  1. This player is a striker
  2. He plays in Serie A
  3. He is the top goalscorer in the history of the club he plays for
  4. He represented his country over a period of 14 season
  5. He scored the winning penalty kick in a previous World Cup final.

1. Nope, he made his début in 94/95 and his final appearance during the 2008/09 season... 14 years ;)

2. You're right, I worded that wrong, should have said 'Scored a penalty kick in a previous World Cup final win'

Yeah he did play his final game in 2008, but that was in the 2008/09 season, what I'm saying is his career was spread over fourteen seasons of international football. :)

Anyway yes, back to the topic; I actually don't know. I was tempted to say Andrei Shevchenko but he isn't retired.
