CHELSEA have beaten off Manchester United to land highly-rated Burkina Faso prospect Bertrand Traore.

The midfielder, just 14, shone at the Under-17 World Cup last year - where he became the youngest-ever player to appear in the finals.

Does England have no good youngsters in that age bracket? Hope we don't end up in a mess because of his age. Don't want another controversy.

Who knows what this kid is really like and how or where he plays but i am not sure on what the regulations would be on bringing a 14 year old over from Burkina Faso???

I don't really know much about him to be honest. If teams like Manchester United wanted to sign him up then I suspect he's fairly talented

He's only 14 so he'll probably disappear for a couple of years now. Then if he's any good he'll be the mceachran of a couple of years time.

The champions have also completed the signing of another teenage prodigy in the capture of 15-year-old midfielder Bertrand Traore of Burkina Faso. The boy had been affiliated to Auxerre in France and had also trained with Manchester United.

He is still 14, but will be 15 in September.
